We got to the Kings game an hour and a half early by mistake and thought we would try Skyline for a nice dinner. We were very disappointed. The food was okay but by no means $ 35/per person good. Never been to a Hometown Buffet but I could only imagine it can’t be much worse. The chicken was over-sauced and the filet was way overdone and tough. The«farm to fork» veggies tasted like they had been sitting out for awhile and we were one of the first for the dinner crowd. We went back for dessert which was triple chocolate bread pudding. Sounded really good and we both got a nice serving. Took a really big first bite and it was so salty. Whoever made this batch must have mistaken salt for sugar. How does a professional chef or restaurant do that? But they did. We were the first ones to dig into the dessert so immediately brought it to the attention of the waiter. The table side entertainment was watching the conversation between the waiter and the chef. The chef appeared to have a puzzled look on his face and took a bit of the pudding off the line and immediately yanked the whole platter from the food line and stormed off. There was so much salt in that bite that my stomach was upset during the whole game. My wife took a smaller bite because she didn’t believe me and also felt sick. Here’s the difference from a real restaurant. No apology from the chef or manager. No offer to comp or discount the meal. The only part of the experience that was good was the wait staff. Our waiter and his assistant were very attentive and friendly. Pricing and food quality are not in their control so they are doing the best they can but management needs to step up with better customer service. We would love a nice place to have dinner before each game but this initial visit and experience will not have me coming back. I’ll stick with a hot dog and a beer at the concession stands until the new arena. Sorry guys, you dropped the ball.

We need a MAJOR upgrade for a «premium» restaurant located in our«major» sports venue. Crappy televisions, friendly staff, but no view. The worst«premier» restaurant in any venue I have ever been to. I get a better experience getting dogs and fries at a River Cats game. Problem isn’t the staff, but the unavailability of this restaurant. Top of an outdated venue. No good line of vision with outdated and too small televisions. Overpriced and price keeps going up. I am sorry, but eat somewhere else first until we build something new. Food tasted good. Bummer the place sucks.

I actually won a complementary dinner for 2 up here at this buffet for missing the half-court shot, but making the free-throw at the Kings game. Having been to countless Kings games I have never eaten up here until this time! The restaurant is located at the very top of the arena, but is blocked off so you really get a view of nothing. There are a bunch of tables and a bar with adequate spacing to walk around them(to get to the buffet). There are some TVs playing other games going on in the NBA and it is actually pretty quiet up here! The service here is very friendly from the hostess to the waitress and the servers at the buffet line. The food here wasn’t THAT bad, but it is sitting on top of heat lamps and you really can’t expect that much from a buffet. With that said, I don’t know how much it is to eat up here since I got it free, but I don’t think I’d probably spend my money up here and rather just get the garlic fries at the game. If you are making it a night at the game and at the arena then give it a shot, but I’m betting the«skyline» restaurant will be much better at the new arena! :)

The two stars are not truly for the food-but rather for the price of the food. Last year the cost was $ 27-this year it’s $ 35. There are no improvements-in fact, dessert was less than it used to be. The food was good for the most part. I expect filet mignon to melt in my mouth. This had me chewing excessively. The gravy was cold on it. However, the other items were excellent. A tender, flavorful chicken, a yummy chicken pasta, good salads. Dessert was store bought cookies and ice cream with Kraft caramel sauce. For $ 35 I expect better. In all fairness, my husband and I received free glasses of wine-we were celebrating our anniversary. That was a nice touch. But will I come back? Not for the cost and lackluster dessert«buffet». The new owner might re-think the prices and quality of food-the room was less than half full. I doubt this will change given my experience.

CLAIMTOFAME: Best food available at a King’s game! SERVICE: 4STARS The waiter was fast, professional and helpful. There was a problem with the bill and the waiter quickly adjusted the price to keep me happy. It wasn’t his fault, apparently the webpage has not been updated with the new pricing. It may work for you too! FOOD: 2STARS Buffet has a good variety of foods. Usually a few meat items and some seafood. Meat may be dry, but the good thing is that the chefs will bring out another roast to find the right one for you. Pasta can be already made or made to order. Vegetable selection is really good with fresh salads or grilled. Cheese plate with Antipasta is a favorite. The desserts are good… cookies cobbler or ice cream. DRINKS: Bottomless Diet COKE OVERALL: 3STARS Service is great! Food is good. = Still great to experience at a King’s game!!!
