Starbucks

Nothing says mediocre service like burnt coffee and rude service. Their only saving grace is the free wifi that I am using for this Unilocal review and the panini sandwich is acceptable. Granted, they only warmed it up…
I understand coffee cups are expensive and Starbucks is at «risk of bankruptcy.» Not really. What is a tall, empty cup to anyone? Clearly to this gentleman who should be making more than minimum wage, but is not, it is!
Shame.

Pros:
Location– in proximity of my work
Patio– large seat in area, lots of tables and chairs, smoke-​free
Coffee– delicious, consistent
Service– speedy despite the amount of customers
Staff– I have been waited on by several sweet, friendly, and helpful staff.
Cons:
Parking– limited spaces, compact spaces only
Staff– although I’ve only encountered sweet and friendly staff, I have witnessed and heard a staff member on more than one occasion be short and rude with more than one customer.

Staff, service, and product quality are all great. The patio seating is not so good. While the patio is better that it used to be, it is still not very clean and there often homeless and non-​customers harassing the customers. The parking lot and sidewalks are filthy, covered in oil and spilled drinks, and always appear run down. Just not a comfortable environment. More often than not, we like to go to a place to sit and relax, so we only visit here to get a coffee to go. Too bad, because it would be nice to have a neighborhood coffee shop.

Really close by to where I work and the baristas are friendly. Like all Starbucks, the place is decorated in a modern, relaxing grey and brown color scheme.
To avoid the morning rush, don’t come in between 7:45 and 8:45 am!

My 1 star is for the complete lack of controlling their premises… we used to come her often because we love the establishment. The products/​coffee – great. But during our visits in the last six months there seem to always be homeless folks begging for money. They stand or sit right under the «No Loitering» sign, and will bug everyone. One of them, who appeared to have mental issues, scared my 3-​year old by hollering about «Jesus and damnation…» As I’m here today there are two folks begging, and others wandering around the parking lot.
I’m sad that the managers of this location fail to take care of this problem, in spite of customer complaints. It’s just a shoulder shrug and a «Yeah, it’s getting bad around here…»
Okay, fine. Definitely taking my business elsewhere.

It’s an okay starbucks. It can feel more like a homeless shelter at times.
They’ve revamped their interior design and has a newer look.
I usually go there for appointments with clients, but had to go to Jamba Juice next door the last time, as so many vagabonds were occupying all of the chairs.
I understand it’s a social meet up and hang out place, but this location attracts many starbuck hermits, leaving little space to sit inside.

During my visits here, I’ve had the Caramel flan latte, white Chocolate Mocha latte, and the Double Chocolatey Chip Espresso. These beverages were all good but the stand-​out drink was the Double Chocolatey Chip Espresso. It had whipped cream at the top, was iced, and had generous portions of chocolate chips in it.
Even during Sundays this location is busy. The staff are easygoing and friendly. Inside there’s customers using their laptops as there’s Wi-​Fi inside but I spent much of my time drinking on the outdoor patios.
Every once in a while if I want to indulge in a Double Chocolatey Chip Espresso this would be my place to go.

Possibly one of the worst and slowest Starbucks I’ve been to and I’ve been to some shitty Starbucks. When I order my coffee, don’t give me lip. I expect the same damn service at every Starbucks I go to. I mean when you go to Starbucks 2 – 3 times a day at different locations and this one is the only on that seems to fall short, there has to be a problem. I’ll just have to remember to steer clear of this location and just proceed on to the next one.

Fast service and friendly staff… Near my wrk plc and many other good eats… Outside seating great for summer time!

This place goes above and beyond with their service. I purchased a drink from another starbucks before my drive to the tower theater across the street. The drink I purchased tasted like crap, I brought it to this starbucks and told my story and without question a new drink was made for me and it was made how it should be. This is spectacular customer service and was a little skeptical that I would receive a new drink since I didn’t purchase it from their store. These guys are awesome. I wish I remembered the guys name that did this for me.

This is another Starbucks with the same consistency we’ve come to expect.
What makes this one a bit distinct is that it’s a bit smaller inside, not a lot of places to sit, and the majority of the tables are community style. There’s some outdoor seating, though.
Much like the inside seating, the parking outside can be crowded and, at times, iffy as well. Not only is it smaller, the parking stalls are smaller as well. This Starbucks sits on Broadway and 15^th street where space can be a premium.
The staff and clientele skew young, trendy, and stylish and they’re accommodating and friendly. There’s no drive-​thru.
It’s a good Starbucks and if you’re in the area or want a place to chill, pop in.

My pit stop for a brewed awakening before work.
This is one of my favorite SB’s in town. I come here often in the mornings since they are only right down the street from where I work. Service here is always great and my drinks are always made on point. Workers here are also very cheerful, even at 6:30 in the morning!
One of the baristas behind the bar was willing to help me find a special kind of tea I was looking for by digging through the back cabinets for me! The drinks also came to a halt since he was the only barista working that morning. I don’t think the 4 patrons waiting for their drinks were too happy with me, but at least I got the tea I was looking for! :)

Have been here a several times when in the neighborhood and our orders are always done right, including my baby gidget’s pairings off the «secret menu». Staff is friendly and service quick even on busier times, although we have only been here twice where it was seriously busy. However, on those occasions, they got us in and out in no time flat!

Last night was the best experience I have seriously ever had at any Starbucks! and I am a Starbuck-​a-​holik!
So, two of my colleagues and myself decided to study there after driving all the way from UC Davis. We wanted to change things up by escaping the Davis bubble. I figured, not downtown but still near historical land sites such as Tower Café or their bookstore.
Here we are 7:30pm walking into a full house of people. Some are studying, others are chatting or online surfing and every table is seated to the max. Sad and confused on what to do next a gentleman (and it’s super safe to say that!- cause he totally was) who worked there came up to ask and asked if we would like for him to pull a table from outside into the dining area so we can join everyone else. I was beyond surprised that he was so kind and willing to help us out. Without a doubt I agreed and soon enough we were seated. Surprisingly, some people left and others decided to move around to suit their comfort needs.
So now, we are all sitting down enjoying the ambiance and the energy that has been created. Soon after the same guy comes around with complimentary hot chocolate with whipped cream a drizzle of caramel and some sea salt! Shut the front door!!! I was like whaaaat?!? I’ve never had anything free at Starbucks! Soon after, there was another person offering bite size donuts and blueberry scones. At this point I knew this was going to be my new study spot. He was extremely nice and really made that place feel so welcoming. It was like walking into a friends home that had a great taste in music, food and most importantly, hospitality.
Sadly, (for us) they closed at 9pm but they weren’t quick to rush us out. They gave a 10 minute «last call» and when the time was up they were very nice in saying their goodbyes as we exited. Whoever hired the guys that were working there last night did a phenomenal job! We need more happy people like that in the world! They seriously made my night and I went home and continued to spread that awesome feeling onto my family. I wish I would have got his name though. Next time I go in I will be sure to grab it and update my experience.

Ordered a (hot) soy venti latte, didn’t drink it til i got home. Open up the lid and there’s over 2 inches missing from drink. My boyfriend sticks finger in the drink 1inch down to touch foam and beneath an inch of foam was the actual drink. Absolute fail, making coffee is not a difficult job. If someone is paying 5 bucks for a cup of soy latte (because they charge more for soy), people should have the decency to make the damn drinks right. Never coming back here.

SERVICE IS HORRIBLE!!!
Seriously, all I wanted is a cup of coffee with a shot of vanilla flavor. I came here early to sit and enjoy my coffee before going to work, instead, I waited 25 minutes and have to ask them for it because I’m running late for work. This is the second time this has happened to me at this same location.

The Starbucks on Broadway works like a finely tuned machine. I stopped by this Starbucks before work around 8:00 am to find a line about 10 – 15 people deep. I was in and out with my Tall Caramel Macchiato in hand in about 10 minutes. I was also told that I had the name of the day «Hashtag».

This Starbucks is in my rotation since I grab cash at Golden1 and need to break $ 20s in the morning trying to do laundry. Yes, that’s it’s purpose in my life $ 20 breakin’ caffeine fix.
The ladies are pretty nice. A barista helped a girl on crutches into her car the other day.
Most noticeable about this location is the sheer number of Chinese guys chillin’ here in the morning no doubt discussing last nights’ episode of «The Voice» or perhaps what’s hot these days in contemporary design.
Other than that it’s a Starbucks.

One of the Coolest Patio Areas
SITREP
During the warmer Spring, Summer and early Fall months, the patio of this Starbucks is really nice to sit out and lounge on.
SETUP
I often use the Golden 1 just down the street for some fast cash. Also, Tower Theatre is right across the street and down about a block. So if looking to kill some time, and early for a movie viewing, this Starbucks is conveniently located to enjoy a mocha or a frap and just hang out.
WIFI
Like most other Starbucks, this is a great spot to break out your laptop and do some serious Facebooking and Unilocaling, and just surf the internet in general since WiFi is free here.
COMMUNITY CHAT
This also happens to be a location where a lot of little old men like to gather and just caveche with one another about who knows what for hours on end. So seating may be taken up both inside and outside depending on what time of day you happen to come.
THE LOWDOWN
As Starbucks go, this is one that has one of the nicest patio seating areas.

The customer service at this Starbucks was terrific, I went with a friend of mine, and there was a ton of people in the seating area, and to get us to stay, a barista did everything she could to accommodate the seating situation. Within a matter of minutes we were sitting at our own table, it was truly sweet of her to do so.
I would simply just return due to the excellent customer service.
The customers here can we rather sketchy, it is right off the freeway and on Broadway so prepare yourself, the parking lot is just equally as sketch as well.
