Order the Fish Tacos! Where do I begin… Let me start by saying, yes. Yes, yes, yes! Fish cooked and seasoned flawlessly. The chipotle sauce was amazing, but the taco shell was something have have never tasted not had I ever seen before. Imagine… a delicious fresh hand made corn tortilla crisped to the golden perfection. It was light, flaky, and surprisingly not overly greasy. I did salt to taste, but that is to be expected. During my next trip I’m going to have the Shrimp Tacos.

Came to Sacramento from SF to purchase some furniture. After driving 2 hours to get here plus 2 hours at the furniture Store I was STARVING! But I had no idea where to go since we were in the middle of nowhere! So I Unilocaled near by restaurants and this place came up. When we drove up it looked a little sketchy but we decided to still go in… I ordered 2 shrimp tacos my husband got a wet burrito and my son got a torta. Let me tell you this was the BEST shrimp taco I have EVER had! It was sooooooo tasty! The salsa they put on top Is delicious plus there was plenty of shrimp(some places put 4 – 5 tiny shrimp). My husbands burrito was off the hook too!! wish they were closer to SF! Cause I would be here every weekend!

I tried their fish tacos for 2.75 each. I’d give it a 7⁄10. Pretttty good! I think the best part was the orange creamy sauce plus the lime on the side. It comes in a fried crispy type tortilla. I also tried their Assad fries for 7.99. I got full really quick. The fries are pretty big a little plain, I don’t think there was enough sauce/flavour from the guac, sour cream, cheese. Other than that, whole portion was good. But I honestly wouldn’t come back here for carne asada fries. There’s way more fries than any other topping :/kind of tasteless too

I was super stoked to try this place, and was not disappointed! I went with a friend of mine yesterday, and we ordered A LOT of food between us in order to taste a little bit of everything. Here’s what I thought: Shrimp Tacos: 5 stars! The shrimp are grilled, and they’re not skimpy either, in terms of size or quantity. The shell is a nice flatbread style shell that you’ll recognize if you’ve ever had an «Indian taco.» The sauce used is Sriracha mayo I believe. There’s pico de gallo on the taco, and it’s served with lime on the side which you must douse the taco in. The flavors all complement each other perfectly, the only possible improvement I could think of was possibly adding a little red cabbage on top. Chicken Wings: 4 stars. These were very, very good. They were piping hot, and cooked perfectly. The skin was very nice, had a great crunch to it, and good flavor. The meat was very moist. The pieces are a bit small however, which is why I docked a star. Torta: 2.5 stars. I don’t think I’ll order this again. I ordered mine with carnitas, but the carnitas were not crispy at all, and had more of a consistency of boiled pork. There was not very much meat on this torta at all, and I’m not even sure there was any cheese on it. The torta was the only disappointment of the day. French Fries: 3 stars. Nothing special, but what you’d typically expect. Previously frozen fries that were made to order at least, so they arrived nice and hot. Overall, we enjoyed our meal very much. I will definitely be back, possibly to try the Carne Asada fries next. I will of course be having at least one shrimp taco as well; you cannot come here and not order one.

After my first time trying their shrimp and fish tacos, I found myself wanting more the next day. That should say something. Their taco shells are one of a kind. I guess the best way to describe them would be the same texture/taste of a cheeto minus the artificial cheese flavoring. It’s a family owned restaurant. The wife handling the front, is the sweetest lady ! She makes you feel as if you’re eating at a relatives house. Not only is her customer service great, but she provides you with a warm welcome making southern hospitality present. By southern, I mean South Vietnam. She’s Vietnamese, speaks fluent Spanish, and did I mention is the sweetest lady ? So far, I’ve tried the fish and shrimp tacos, carne asada burrito and carne asada fries. As you can probably see, those tacos are their most popular menu item. The carne asada burrito is packed with so much flavor and they don’t skimp out on the meat so you get your money’s worth. The fries beat the 24 hour drive thru adalbertos and his ex wife carolinas. This place is worth a try, I will be back of course :) I

Chimichanga is decent, have yet to try other options, looks like there is a variety. Great customer service and attention to customers. No alcoholic beverages here. Rough location but it’s good food.

If you know my wife, you know that she«LOVES» Shrimp !! After seeing pictures of «Shrimp Tacos» from Taco Fresco Burger & Fries on Unilocal, guess where we were headed. That’s right Taco Fresco. Taco Fresco is located in the older part of Florin Road, just down the block from Power-in Road. They are open Mon — SAT10am — 5pm. It was about 12:30 when we decided to head to the restaurant. We were worried that we were going to run into a large lunch crowed going at this time. Do you think this was going to stop us? Hah! No way ! Nothing get in between my wife and her«Shrimp». To my surprise there were only 2 other patron at the time . The restaurant wasn’t in the best of area, but don’t let this stop you from coming here to eat. My wife ordered the shrimp taco. Not one, not two but 3 of these babies. I didn’t even get to try them but the words«Oh My God» we’re the words that my wife used to describe the flavor of her shrimp tacos. I ordered the chicken burrito. The burrito must have weighed at least 2 pounds and was filled with beans, rice, poco de gallo, chicken, and a whole lot of «Love».! There was in-door and out-door seating. Stacy was wonderful in taking our order, bringing our food to our table and wrapping our leftovers to bring home. Prices were quite reasonable. Have you ever heard the phrase«Don’t judge a book from its cover». This is a perfect example ! We will definitely be back to try some of their other dishes like their teriyaki bowl or their Steak & Egg Torta. Both looked scrumptious!

Best shrimp anything around ahahha. Small looking building. Big parking lot. Outside seating. When it’s hot they use fans to cool us off. Or you can sit outside and enjoy no breeze during the summer lol. Nicest people ever. The lady is Vietnamese and married a Mexican man. Don’t care, food is great to me. I like to order the fish taco, shrimp taco(of course), California burrito, and sometimes street tacos. Love the shrimp taco, the sauce that is on it, is amazing. The fish taco is good as well, but the shrimp taco, I can’t get enough of. The California burrito was great too, I think it’ll be better if I add the shrimp sauce in it next time. Will be back!

Went here on a whim because of other Unilocalers reviews. This is place is pretty good. It is a bit out of my way since I’m not in the area frequently but next time I’m in the area I’ll stop by. All I had was chicken and shrimp tacos. Price of shrimp tacos is very fair compared to other places. They were rather good also, not sure of the sauce but I would definitely try it again. Only reasons I can’t give this place 5 stars is because I haven’t tried anything else on the menu and their ridiculous .75 cents charge for using a debit/credit. Other than that I’ll be a returning customer just going to be prepared with cash next time.

I came here for lunch to try the shrimp tacos! After reading the reviews I thought this would be my safest bet. Being from San Diego I have had my fair share of Mexican food and wanted to try something local. I ordered two tacos and a horchata which came out to 8 dollars and some change. When the tacos came out I immediately noticed that they were really oily. They make their own taco shell. This can be good, however it can be horrible if they don’t let the taco drain. The bottom of my container had a puddle. The ingredients were fresh though! The shrimp was grilled and topped with a spicy mayo sauce. I would probably not come back due to the taco being drenched in oil.

Love their shrimp tacos. They’re made with fresh tortilla! You can’t get that anywhere these days unless you do it yourself. The texture of the tortilla is perfect. A little crunchy and kinda soft. I’m not a fan of hard tacos. But these are perfect. I didn’t care to much for the fish tacos.

Someone had recently told me about this place because to them it was the best fish tacos ever. Here I am thinking, really? in Sacramento? Have you ever been to San Jose, Oakland, SD, or SF? Then he showed me pictures of the tacos and I was sold. It definitely looked different and delicious. I persuaded my bf to try this place and the moment we stepped it, I knew it was going to disappoint us. First, we see an Asian cashier, but who cares right? However, there’s buffalo chicken wings and teriyaki chicken on the menu at a Mexican taco place! Last time when someone did this multicultural thing, they got so much criticisms for it. And most of the time, the restaurants that do that, never have good food altogether and is considered a joke. This place is definitely confused and should focus on one food theme to better fine tune it. I should have walked out and just assumed that my friend who recommended me this was smoking on something good to remotely think this place was bomb. Anyway, I ordered the crispy fish taco, carne fries, and al pastor. The fish taco could be SOMUCHBETTERIF it was at least battered up and deep fried. Instead the fish was simply cooked and thrown in the shell which caused everything to be soggy. Also, if they battered up the filet, then maybe they didn’t need to stuff the taco with so much fish that caused the whole taco to break apart. I love al pastor and the ones at taco fresco was tasteless, along with the carne fries too. Usually when you eat the fries by itself, it should still taste like the meat it was topped with. But with the carne fries here, nothing. We didn’t finish the food and will not be coming back. I would rather stick with Nick’s Crispy fish taco or La Costa fish tacos or even Wrap and Roll’s carne fries.

I finally got to try this place the other day, and i’ve got to say this place is bomb! Yummy food with descent prices. I tried their fish taco, shrimp taco, hot wings, and horchata. Shrimp taco: Very good, highly recommend. The shrimp is grilled to perfection and the orange sauce they put on top is very tasty. Fish taco: I didn’t really like this and thought the fish was a bit smelly to my liking. I usually like to hide the fish smell in my food. Hot wings: Fried to perfection, very crispy and spicy. I would order this again. Horchata: Got a 32 oz for only 3 dollars! Very tasty. Overall, i liked how they recreated the taco shells to this fluffy crispy shell that complements the meats and the orange sauce they put on top is very tasty. Customer service was great. I would definitely come back here and try other items on their menu.
