Love this place as far as liquor stores go because of my current residence(I miss you, Curtis Park Market). It’s either here or 7-Eleven on Broadway — depending on what I’m drinking — to score my booze in the neighborhood. Not the largest selection but they definitely have something good enough to drink regardless of how fancy of a sipper you think you are. Friendly staff and the usual liquor store prices. But don’t trust the hours on the sign or even what they tell you to your face because sometimes they don’t feel like staying open until 11:00 p.m. or midnight.

A great neighborhood liquor store! The store is tiny and visually overwhelming when you walk in, but just go with it and enjoy all the options! Standard liquor store fare, the endless bottles of liquors for mixing, many sodas and beers, chips and other snacks, and a halfway decent wine selection in the $ 10 bottle range. Also a proprietor of lottery tickets — I heard a $ 12,000CA lottery ticket was sold there! Very friendly workers — even though the place feels a little dingy, you never feel unsafe. We’ll be back!

Just to be clear, this is a review of a bottle shop. A fancy name for a liquor store. Not a gas station or a corner store. A place to stock up on your libations, through and through. So if you’re thinking my fourth star is for some kind of classier joint, think again. In fact, the fourth star is really because this place is exactly what it proclaims to be. Here is where you to go get a bottle. Or two. The slightly clostrophobic and dingy aisles are perfectly organized to draw you to one… and then many delicious drink options. Faded posters and floor graphics sell you booze and partially clothed women — clearly faded from time… oldies but goodies. A plethora of wines adorn the back wall — include the all important double-bottles. If I recall correctly, you’ll also find some Mad Dog back there. Stacks of different sodas provide you the mixers you’ll need to get your party going and they have almost every kind — except for the all-important diet root beer(but that’s my new jam). Olives for martinis? Got it. Bloody mary mix for your breakfasts? Yep. Tapatio Doritos because you are munchy and love burning your tongue? Of course. There’s also a «sale» rack in the back which I think is under-appreciated but doesn’t always have quite the right thing… which is probably why the items are on sale. But mostly I like the guys that work there. These dudes are really nice. They will get you the«cold» white wines from the back. And, not that there are usually shady folks in there(mostly it’s neighborhood homies) I feel like the workers would probably hop over the counter and try to save me. That’s really what you want in a liquor store… a place that you can be proud of if security videos ever end up on tv. Thank you Tallac Bottle Shop!

Over priced. I used to live walking distance from the bottle shop and I still chose to get in my car and drive up the street to somewhere cheaper. Aside from the prices the service there was crappy and the cashier/owner always has a bad attitude.

Great selection of California craft beers in deuce-deuce size. The lottery ticket machine is a good one, I always seem to win at least my money back!

Convenient and has everything you need in a jiffy. A bit pricy for certain liquor, but they have a great selection of beer. Located in Tahoe park next to Milano pizza, it makes it easy to grab a 6 pack and a large pizza on your way home from work. There are really no other options near by, Talllac will more than liekly have what you need.
