Love this place. Sure, up front it is a little goofy and unpredictable but the drink prices are good and the back patio is fantastic to sit in for as little or as long as you’d like.

What a great place! Great outdoor patio, great staff, super cool atmosphere. I just celebrated my 29th birthday with about 35+ people and we did a bar crawl in old sac. All 35 people unanimously decided this was our favorite stop out of about 5 – 6 bars in old sac. I highly recommend this place. :)

I went with a friend to get a beer — we were standing up front at the bar, literally right in front of the bartender, for 10+ minutes, without service or a mere acknowledgement of our presence. Rather, the bartender, alone to his credit with a decent number of patrons, seemingly intended to move at a glacial pace as if to encourage us to leave. So we finally did. This place could use more bartenders, or at least ones with better customer service skills.

Really fun place to be. Pool tables down stairs. Good drinks. I came here with a bunch of friends one night and hadn’t been there til like 6 moths later and the bartender remembered me! I couldn’t believe it! Lol fun place to come with a lot of people. There’s a couch in front. I think they have outside seating in the back too!

The Other Office is as good a reason as any to go drinking in Old Sacramento. I always forget about this as an option, and I wonder why. It’s a multi-level bar that takes advantage of the peculiar layout of these old Gold Rush-era buildings. On the main floor there is a spacious bar and an elevated second level with seating and an outdoor patio. Head downstairs and there is a lounge area with a pool table, plenty of plush seating and a second bar which I assume they open if it’s busy enough. The drinks and food options are nothing to get excited about, but the atmosphere is on point. This is an ideal stopover during an Old Sac bar crawl.

I’ve only been here 2x and both experiences has been awesome! It’s not as busy or crowded when I went on a Friday and Saturday night. I actually like this place a lot! It’s really chill and has a nice ambiance and good vibes. I think being older and out of the clubbing scene, this place is a nice to go and grab drinks type of place with your friends where you can just sit and talk/chill. I did notice it’s a little older crowd like 25−40s. Music varied, but I liked it. If you want to dance you can. The owner Ben and Mark were very tentative and provided excellent customer service. They interact with you and crack jokes. Sense of humor is key! They also serve food there! We order lumpias and fries. The lumpias were bomb! They have a pool table on the bottom level and an outside patio. There’s plenty of seating everywhere! I definitely will go back and I would recommend people for drinks and eats(more like snacks of fried food) there. Btw: parking may suck because it’s in old Sacramento so good luck. Some nights you can’t find any.

$ 8.00 for a vodka soda. In reality what I received was club soda with a splash of vodka. The drinks are weak and overpriced. The place reeked of marijuana. The server was rude.

We went there today with a bunch of friends. It’s cool. It’s a bar where you can seat, have a beer playing dices. It’s cheap, only $ 3 for a beer. They also have a billiard and a patio downstairs. The service is ok, you need to order to the bar.

One word: Grimey! When I first walked in, the owner was super friendly. He told us about the different areas located in his bar. There’s a game room with a foos-ball table and some other games. They have a lounge area where it’s the dance floor, I believe. Downstair is were they have a pool table and the bathroom. First thing the owner said to us was«downstairs have no camera» and looked at me and laughed«she likes that!» Ummmmmm excuse you? No, I don’t like that. Not to mention, my friend saw people having sex in the back. They probably heard the owner earlier. Not to mention, this bar also had a «drink combo» —- 1 shot, 1 condom. So weird. That probably explains why there were empty condom wrappers on the floor. As for the bar, shots were cheap. It was about $ 7 – 8 for shots and they play some good old hip hop music. The place itself wasn’t too crowded. When we got there, it was dead. The only reason why it was packed was because there was a basketball tournament this weekend and everyone that was playing in it, met up at this place. This place is definitely a one time thing.

This review is a little late, but better late than never. One of my close girlfriend’s called me up on Fri, Dec 13th, for an unexpected-last minute lunch date & suggested this place from the Unilocal reviews. Well, I work a late shift & take lunch around 3:30p. Since Unilocal said they’re open 3p-2a on Fri, we hoped for little crowd. Much to our surprise, the place was closed when we arrived some time around 3:45p. This was the 1st time Unilocal had steered me/us wrong! =(

I got a meeting at The Other Office and it’s called Happy Hour. I found myself wandering through Old Town looking for a new place to try and saw the inviting Happy Hour sign. It was still early enough in the afternoon, so I was the only one at the bar. The place is huge and would be an great location to have a private event, with the back room and outside patio areas. The Happy Hour specials change, but that day it was on bottled beer. The nice bartender gave me a special happy hour rum and coke for a great price of $ 5. She was very nice, talking to her made time go by and soon enough the place was picking up.

I don’t have tons of information on this bar as we came in right when they opened on Saturday around 2:30… This place is fairly large and I can see how much fun it would be during the late hours. There is the restroom downstairs, along with a pool table, more seating and another bar. The waitress and another gentleman was still setting up the place, but allowed us to sit there and hangout. The man that worked there played an «old school» song for the older women that were there(taking shots!) and then he said, «and said this is for you youngins’.» They also have drink deals. I enjoyed this place for the short time we were here and would like to return one day during the evening. They even have a sign saying, children are welcome until 10… at least they warn you! Smart decision on the owners behalf, however I don’t think I would bring my children here regardless.

I think I just found my new favorite summer drinking lounge! This place is divided into 3 sections your main level, with bar and seating, a downstairs lounge with seating, bar and pool table, and there is also an outdoor patio. Upon ordering my drink, one of the Co-owners, Ben, was very friendly. I asked for a gladiator, a drink he couldn’t recall the ingredients. He used his handy dandy smart phone to research the ingredients, and the drink came out exactly how it should taste, awesome! I can’t wait for the nights to warm up so I can come here more often! The atmosphere of this«office» is very edgy. I will be a repeat offender and come again.

Ben, the owner is awesome! Lumpia was delish and perfectly cooked. Bartenders were friendly and service was quick. I really have nothing bad to say about this place. I love the back patio; plenty of seating areas. Jukebox has a variety and if you can’t find your song, you can download it for 2 credits! :) I’ll be coming back.

Ah, a new must go each and every time I am in Sacramento. Trying to figure out the exact nature of this place will leave your head spinning and likely more unanswered questions than when you started. There is no theme, no motif, no flow. But what it lacks in ambiance it makes up for with friendly, maybe too friendly, staff and a nice stiff buzz. Already been there four times in the last month, my latest visit was complete with choosing the songs on the internet playlist, a conversation about ethnic superheroes and a drink called a «stormtrooper», which I’m half sure the tender Chelsea poured me as some part of an evil bet. Quite simply, I lost count of how many ingredients went into it as was utterly perplexed at its forest green color. The drinks are creative, they’re easy on the wallet and you might just end up like me, punch drunk and infatuated with the bartender. And who can say that’s a bad thing? p. s. they have an arcade NFL Blitz 99!

Neat name and seemed to be pretty popular. The beer selection was decent and you could pretty much order anything you can dream up. The bartenders were nice but there was one odd ball there that night. I’d return if in town again and if their displayed hours on their door matched what time they are actually open. Oh, also if their voice mail hours were a match to the ones on the door. I had lost my jacket the night before and when I came back to downtown at 11am, like their voice mail says they open everyday, and find them to be closed. Very irritating. I had to call back multiple times to get the hostess to even look for my jacket.

Review in 10 words or less: Lumpia, free video games, cheap drinks, awesome service. Review using… More: After a long bike ride, my companion and I ended up famished and thirsty in Old Sac. Luckily, our first stop was right in front of The Other Office. While locking up our bikes and checking out a nearby-posted menu, a man walks out of a previously unnoticed door and asks… «You guys hungry?» Why, yes! «Do you like lumpia?» Random… But, yes. «We have great lumpia and it’s happy hour. You can bring your bikes inside if you want!» Well, that just fell right into my lap! Needless to say, definitely sold. A few drinks, several pieces of lumpia, and many visits later, I’m hooked. Food & Drinks: That dude was not lying… bomb lumpia! Hot, fresh, and there are a few different options/variations. They also have basic, made to order lunch samiches that were a pleasant reminder of my childhood days as well as some other food options. Full bar, strong drinks, and everything is reasonably priced. Service: Whether the place is packed or dead, the staff rocks. From the bartender to the owner, I’ve found everyone to be friendly and attentive. No superiority complexes, here. You guys remind me of what customer service should be like. Interior/Ambiance: From the outside it may be deceptively small, but there is an upstairs, downstairs, and awesome outside patio area. It has a comfortable, yet versatile feel which works for relaxing with friends, having a bar night out, to playing music for an impromptu, ugly Christmas sweater dance party. But I’m not speaking from experience or anything. ANDFREEVIDEOGAMES?! I’m not saying they have an arcade, but they have some pretty awesome, fairly known classics for one/two players. Someone is definitely trying to steal my heart at The Other Office. ;)

WOW!!! The BEST service in all of OLDSAC! When you go into the Bar you are greeted right away. The establishment is wonderful. They have an up stairs and down stairs area. Plenty of dancing and mingling. When you are there I request you ask for a «Lara’s Theme» drink on the rocks or straight up. They make the BEST ever! ~ How would I know… «It’s My drink»
