More like NOGO… this place is a joke. The girl who helped me came off as rude and miserable. My sandwich was on the toasted menu… when I got it back it was not hot and I didn’t see it on the toaster and I asked if it was indeed toasted and she replied with«It’s not a sandwich we toast because the meat is hot…» UMMMOKAY??? My friend ordered the same exact sandwich and hers was toasted. How about you look at your menu and acknowledge you made a mistake or offer to fix it… if you didn’t want to work customer service, then find a new job! The place was clean and I generally like Togo’s but if I’m going to pay over $ 10 for an employee to be rude to me and not make my sandwich correctly then I WON’T be back. I do not recommend this location.

Came in here on a weekday evening and it was pretty slow which was nice since I haven’t been in for awhile and wanted to take a look at menu and see what was new. I came in with a email coupon for a free 6″ birthday sandwich and was very surprised how big it actually was. I was greeted promptly and all my questions were answered about the menu and I ordered I noticed the fresh brewed tea canister was missing and she told me it was put away for the night so I was able to buy a cookie instead of a drink(a requirement of coupon) and just had water instead. I decided to eat here since it was nice and quiet and since I just left work and wanted to chill a bit and it was nice and cool in here. The sandwich was great she added all the veggies and added extra too. Sign up for emails and get your free birthday sandwich as well as periodic offers all the time for buy one get one free etc.

Edit: It would be much appreciated if the TOGO’s COMMENTER could not give a generic copy-paste superficial apology and provide some sort of improvement or action taken to actually enhance this restaurant. Just saying. Fast-Food-esque places will soon see thrown stones!(Let’s see more +funny) I went into this place for the first time at this location to have an early lunch. The facility is large and clean. Thus, +1 Star. Even though the four employees standing at the counter greeted me and asked me if this was my first time to togo’s, it was the manager it seemed who made her way out of the back to assist me and asked me again if this was my first time to togo’s. She was hasty, impersonal, way-too-done up, and typical of rude managers. I asked for a turkey and avocado sandwich with bacon. For $ 9.00(no cheese or toasted) I got a sandwich consisting of too much dough, a few ridiculously and messy handfuls of cheap shredded lettuce, 4 rolled circle-slices of cheap packaged turkey, 3 strips of the pig species’ most thinnest and skinniest bacon, and the piece de resistance at least two or three scoops of freshly mashed avocado. The price and the quality are TERRIBLE. The avocado gives this place an additional star. Go to Whole Foods on eastern for a much higher quality, filling, one-to-two dollar less, hearty and toasted, no scams or skimping out, epic sandwich. You’ve been warned.

Hate to have to change my original review of 4 stars to 1 star. My wife kind of touched on the subject but here’s a more in-depth review. Here is why 1 star was necessary… I originally went in yesterday 8÷4÷15 around 12PM to pick up my sandwich that I ordered online. I got back to work and realized that the sandwich was looking a little flat. So I opened it to realize there was no pastrami. I wasn’t even upset, I thought it was kind of funny that the meat was left off. SO I called this store and spoke to a lady and she was very nice and apologetic. She took my name down and told me to come in and they would remake the sandwich. I told her I would be in after 5 sometime and she said no problem. I understand mistakes happen and there were a couple of customers there at the time so they could’ve been in a hurry. I wasn’t even going to update my review or complain at that point because I wasn’t upset and the lady I spoke to over the phone seemed nice and apologetic. I just figured I would go in get the sandwich made correctly and then go on my way. That’s where it went bad. I arrived with my wife and we stood in the online/phone pick up line. An employee, short girl with a round face rudely asked if we called in an order. I said we placed an order online and I also have my receipt from earlier in the day where my sandwich was made wrong. It was only bread with bbq chipotle sauce, lettuce and pickles. The employee’s response was«So???» ME: Shocked at her attitude«Umm…I called earlier and was told to come back here to have the sandwich remade correctly.» EMPLOYEE: Snatches the receipt from the counter looks around and shakes her head and says«Well, I don’t know anything about this and wasn’t told anything about this so what do you want.» ME: Still in shock from the unnecessary attitude, I was almost speechless. I responded, «I would just like the sandwich that I originally paid for and didn’t receive. I have a picture of the sandwich(which you can see posted here) if you want to see it. Employee: Walks away shaking her head, mumbling under her breath and sighing. She then comes back and asks in a rude demanding tone, «What size large or regular? Can you come over here so I can make your sandwich with what you want on it?» All I wanted when I came in was the sandwich I should’ve received when I came in earlier. I wasn’t upset nor did I do anything to influence this type of behavior and service. I just expected to be in and out no problems. It is because of this female employee that I am updating my original good review to this very bad one. When I received the new receipt around 5PM it had Katie’s name on it. Not sure if that is the rude employee who helped me or if they all use each others log on for the POS system. I wouldn’t want future customers to avoid the wrong employee that is why I also gave a description of what she looks like.

I appreciate togo’s upper management for immediately addressing my concerns. The manager Ellen called me the day after I wrote this review to discuss the situation(I’m assuming she got my number from my online order). She apologized for her team and said she would talk to her staff. You could tell that she truly cares about her job/business and wants to represent the Togo’s name well. She even offered to provide my husband and I a complimentary sandwich, which I told her was completely unnecessary! I am definitely willing to come back and give this togos another try.

I’ve frequented this establishment rather than other sandwich shops for 2 reasons. First the customer service is outstanding. The staff are friendly, fast, efficient and obviously directed under top notch management. Secondly the sandwich choices are endless, the food always fresh and prices reasonable. Call in an order it’s always made correctly and in reasonable time. It’s a great stop, a must go!

Danielle always makes me the best sandwiches. She’s delightful and has a great memory! Easily one of the best Togo’s I’ve been to in the last 15 years.

I do love me some Togos, but lately it has been a bad experience. Last Sunday afternoon I came and ordered my usual pastrami and chilli but it took like 10 minutes to heat up some pastrami even longer to put it together, 2 sandwich makers and 4 – 5 girls in the back just gossiping and a long line out front. Today just went in there, called ahead of time so it will be ready. Let the lady who took my order on the phone know exactly what I wanted even repeated it a couple of times and get home and have the two things in my sandwich I can’t stand a ton of lettuce and onion, she even repeated it back to me on the phone when I made the order. I am so disappointed, I have never had this problem at any other Togos(elverta togos always on point) and will have to find another one who knows how to get orders right. And I am 3 sandwiches away from a free one there! Also they had no crackers for my chilli today!!! Sonia

I placed an online order and it said it would be ready by 230, I get to the store 5 minutes later and they didn’t even make it. Also, no one was there except one other guy. Plus they didn’t make my sandwich how I requested it. No big deal, I just expected them to go by their online and store regulations. Customer service was horrible. Definetly won’t be coming to this togos again.

I will admit I was pleasantly surprised. The manager is nice and she runs a good crew of mellow and cool chicks(and a really sweet guy) who consistently make solid sandwiches. Just writing this review is making me crave the Turkey Cranberry.

I always order online simply because I only have a 30 minute lunch and I like being able to run in, get my order and be out the door. I always order the same thing(regular size avocado/swiss cheese, extra salt/pepper and chips). Suggestion…please be aware of the DOUBLE selections being made a little more closely to the online orders. Sometimes the salt is so overwhelming the sandwich is not edible and other times(like today) there was neither salt or pepper on the sandwich. Just something to think about, thanks.

Togo’s vs. Subway is a lot like comparing a regional chain like Peet’s to Starbucks. The regional player is significantly better, but it’s no contest when it comes to marketing. Togo’s never had a guy named Jared, it calls the second month of the year«February,» and it doesn’t have a store every quarter-mile. What it does have is superior sandwiches, with better bread than Subway and higher-quality ingredients. I had a six-inch Italian sandwich last time I was there, and it was excellent. My wife had a miniature Reuben for $ 3. It was on a smallish-but-not-too-small circular bun about twice the size of a slider and piled high with pastrami and sauerkraut. It’s a smokin’ deal.

Sandwich is good as always, but it’s 2:30 and the dining room is a mess. It’s well past the lunch rush so there’s no excuse. The air hand dryer doesn’t work in the mens bathroom and theres no paper towels. When i alerted the girl behind the counter, she apologized and gave me some paper towels. If they already know about it, how about putting some paper towels in the bathroom?! I just watched an employee leaving out the front door and she spit out the end of the straw wrapper and then dropped the rest of it on the ground. I know the job sucks, but don’t litter in your own parking lot right in front of the store!

I grew up where TOGO’s was born, so TOGO’s is totally my thing! One thing I really appreciate about this location is they still have their original wood carved menu board on display. Brings me back, because most of the original TOGO’s had their menus like this. The service is always great here, the employees are friendly, and I have never had any problems with my sandwiches. If for some odd reason you have never been to a TOGO’s you MUSTTRY the #9-hot pastrami, something about their pastrami that really tops any other chain sandwich shop. My personal favorite though is the #24-turkey avocado, which is especially famous in the south bay(birth of TOGO’s) because a man once held an office building hostage because he wanted to murder his ex-girlfriend and when they were negotiating with him all he asked for was a large 24 from TOGO’s and a large pepsi, true story.

Togo’s makes a solid sandwich. It’s my go-to sandwich chain and always a better option than Subway. Unfortunately, they have far fewer locations in the Sacramento area as opposed to the bay area, so making the occasional visit is a welcome treat. My sandwich of choice is usually always the turkey and avocado on sourdough with extra peppers. The peppers here aren’t pre-sliced. No, they place them on there whole, making for some delicious surprises a bite or two in. My only complaint is a rather odd one: counter height. Togo’s has the highest counters I’ve ever seen, and presumably so people can’t watch them make the sandwiches, which doesn’t make much sense anyway unless they have something to hide. My wife, who comes in at 5 feet tall(although she would dispute that), can barely see over the counter to talk with the sandwich maker. I hope someone from Togo’s corporate can explain this.

To state the obvious, Togo’s is waaaaay better than Subway. This Togo’s is right by my work and I go there frequently during lunch hour. I usually get the chicken salad sammie w/extra jalapenos, olives, and peperoncini peppers. When it’s all done and stacked high It only costs me $ 7! And I use the check-in offer for a free soda… double-awesome! I can kill their large sammie no prob… it’s the perfect size for me… and I don’t feel all bloated like a just ate a foot long from Subway. Can you say chemicals! I reccomend this spot for anyone in the area looking for a quick, affordable lunch!
