Truxel Hair & Nails

This place looks clean but they are very unsanitary! I came in on a random Tuesday afternoon and I had to wait about 30 minutes to get my gel nails done. They only had 3 people working and there was no air or ventilation in there whatsoever. They are also very limited on gel polish colors. There were probably only 50 – 60 colors. The guy who was cutting my cuticles and filing my nails did not even wash his hands after helping the previous person. He got neon yellow nail polish (the previous girl’s nail color) all over my hands and nails after. And moving on the woman who did gel on my nails was hurting me with her super long and fake nails. Her nails were turning yellow too, gross! Whats worse is that every time she got polish on my skin, instead of removing it with a q-​tip like a normal person would, she removed it with her own finger nails. And her fingernails had about 5 – 6 different colors on the tip probably from the same practice on other clients’ nails.
I found this place through Unilocal and I should’ve believed the reviews. I would not recommend coming here. I’d give this place 1 star but the workers were friendly so I bumped it to 1.5

Lee does an amazing job. I will not go anywhere else as long as lee is here. Staff is friendly despite of the rude people that show up.

Please save yourself time and money and avoid this place at all cost. Same night of my gel mani ($ 28) the polish was cracking on every single nail. I went back in to get them redone and they all chipped 2 days later. Idk if they use a cheap gel polish or they don’t know how to do the gel but I just took it off myself because they looked terrible 2 days after getting them redone. I will not be returning.

OMG! I love this place! Today was my first time with LEE and he is GREAT! not only did he take his time he asked me with every nail does this look good to you do you like it? every nail! it took a hour and a half because he took his time and made sure I was satisfied! I live in rancho and will drive back out here when its time for a fill!!! I got the pink and white powder couldn’t be happier. :)
I WATCHED THEM SANITIZE ALL THE PEDICURE STUFF and MANICURE STUFF AS WELL SO I CAN LET YOU KNOW RIGHT NOW THERE CLEAN.
if you don’t like something they tell you they will fix it, if your not happy they will fix it to make you happy no cost at all!

This place is horrible on nails. I went in for a fill Friday night with fiberglass & gel polish. My nail broke 2 hours later & I was not doing anything strenuous. Second, I had a piece of hair in my gel polish that I obviously thought the lady would’ve fixed but she proceeded with the 2 extra layers & when I brought it to her attention, she blamed me. Third, my gel polish is chipping and lifting after 6 days, which usually last 2 weeks! As for the pedicure, Lee did a good job but on nails, DO NOT GO HERE !!

You get what you pay for right? Place is your typical vietnamese ran hair and nail place, its cheap and all i need is my head to be shaved so win win situation at least for me

Terrible experience and I will never go back. The lady lied about knowing how to thread eyebrows. She was not sanitary nor did she have me in the correct position to do them. I asked her after she was tweezing them not threading how long has she been doing it and she tried to lie. I told her I was a certified eyebrow technician and she then started talking. The lady that normally does them was not there so she basically lied to make $ 10 damn dollars and screw me up. I would not recommend this place to anyone if a money means that much to them that they don’t care what the client looks like. AWFUL!!!

Unfortunately, I have nothing positive to say here. This was a horrible experience. My nails were horrible looking to where I peeled them off. You know how your nail beds look under a black light or in a tanning bed, … that’s what they looked like during daylight. It was not pink with white tip, it was purple.
Secondly, the woman who did my nails, cut my skin with the drill, SEVERAL times, and she did such a deep cut on my middle finger and all she could do as I was twitch and tear up was rub all the sand from the acrylic into the wound and drying blood.
There was acrylic also all over my fingers that I had to go home and peel off.
They also, do not sanitize their pedicure stations from what I viewed, and I decided to not get my toes done.
When I went to pay– even though I was very urged to not even pay the $ 45 my horrible nails cost, I didn’t tip her, and she stood there and seriously got mad. She got mad, and turned to the other coworkers and talked crap in Chinese! As if I wasn’t even there. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Not even for a last minute service.

Walkin for full set French tip acrylic. I’m use to Davis prices of $ 30 up with bubbles in my nails. Let me tell you this place is the opposite of that! Had Tony did my nails. He doesn’t talk much but it’s ok, because I love my nails. No bubbles. Done in 40 minutes. Only $ 20 plus I tipped. Love it will be back to see Tony.

For such a short period of time, this place has advanced fast with a friendly style business. They have a lot of stations/​workers. So, u never have to worry about waiting for a long time. It is a whole body salon; they do hair, nail, wax, you name it. The only thing I don’t like is that you have to walk over to the other area for the pedi… what I mean is if i were the owner it would be hard for me to oversee the two areas blocked by a wall.
If you plan to charge your credit card, they will charge you a dollar more.

Been going here for over 2 years to get my nails done (fiberglass with white tip and solar gel on top.) I go to either Mickey or Vivan and I enjoy them both! Nails last almost 3 weeks and always get compliments on them. Highly Recommend them!

I will admit, my eyebrows get hella bushy, and they need professional help, so I decided I need to get them waxed. Went to this little shop, awesome service, quick and great pricing!

After having the urge for a beauty day, I found this place on Unilocal and decided to go there based on the ONE decent review and it’s convenient location nearby where I was staying.
I have to say, I LOVE this place. It’s a typical salon — nothing too fancy, but their quality is what matters to me. I was initially attracted to their $ 20 pricing for a full set so I ended up doing that and a pedicure.
My nail tech (didn’t get a chance to get her name) was really careful and precise when applying my set and clipping my cuticles. I’m especially sensitive because of a lot of bad experiences where nail techs cut me too deep. =T
It also reassured me that multiple people came in for fills and corrections when they were left unsatisfied from the work of another salon. It helped me feel like they did good work for people to come in and ask them to correct other salons’ works.
Overall, I was satisfied with this place and would definitely go again! Prices are right and quality of work is up to par.

It was a tad uncomfortable coming in and the lady that threaded me looked liked she didn’t know what she was doing at first… i nervously closed my and just hoped for the best and then BAM…

they dont have a comfortable seat for the threading, you just sit on the «barber chair» so at some point i had to use my hand as a «rest-​er” — my neck started hurting so MINUS one star
and they charge a $ 1 fee if you pay in card… so another MINUS…
but would go here gain FOR SURE: D

this is a cool place! it’s not super expensive and the quality is pretty food.
