I don’t think I was prepared for this! What a great time. This was my first UYE and it was a perfect first date! I absolutely loved the kale and sausage soup I tried. Followed by the pecan praline non dairy sorbet. I really appreciated the non dairy options as there were quite a few. Thank you to Jim for envisioning this. You, John, William and Julia were a blast. Why did I wait so long to venture out in the Unilocal community? Everyone was warm and welcoming. The ladies working at the creamery were so stinking nice, I swear. So refreshing to have stellar customer service! Alex and Natalie were attentive and genuine. I can’t wait to bring my kids to try the ice cream.

Why head downtown Sacramento on a Saturday early evening? To meet some fellow Unilocalers and eat ice cream, of course. This was a short yet special time with this small gathering of Yeeps. A great outcome of these social events is meeting new people that share the Unilocal enthusiasm. On this evening, I met Jim A(organizer of this UYE) and Amy O(a long time Unilocal friend that has Elite aspirations), Amy’s friend Amanda(a hoot), and Julia(who joined the group in time) to share in the creaminess of what Cornflower Creamery has to offer. It’s not always about the new peeps but also a continuation of building fellowship with known Unilocal friends, like William L. We can count on William to be there! There was ice cream(made in-house with all natural and(mostly) locally sourced ingredients, baked goods, soup, and coffee. These ice cream flavors aren’t your typical standards. With natural flavorings, expect unique and tasty monthly changing flavor options like my Coffee Baked Banana or Amy’s dairy free(coconut milk) Pecan Praline or William’s Pumpkin Spice or Jim’s double scoop(dairy free) Raspberry sorbet. Alex and Natalie were working the Creamery this night and were excited we were here to sample and learn about Cornflower Creamery. They were both most gracious and informative quickly primped for their photo op! Thank you Jim for setting up this meet-up ice cream social. Thank you to fellow Yeeps for spending part of your Saturday evening here. And thanks to Cornflower Creamery(Alex and Natalie) for helping make this evening memorable.

What can I say? This Unofficial Unilocal Event(the 1stUYE of 2016) created by Jim A has done it again for the Ice Cream Social success at Cornflower Creamery located at L Street near 10th Street and the California State Capitol. As I arrived that night on 1÷9÷2016, I came in the doors early before John H came by while ordering a cup of ice cream, and I was pleased to see him for a while! Moments later, we did seen Jim A plus more participants who came arrived for that event are Amy, Amanda, and Julia. We did make a good social conversation about this place, and other random talks too. Despite the small crowd, we did make this event a great time to enjoy Cornflower Creamery’s food from ice creams to well-made café foods too! Simply a delicious night snack meal ever! In the end, Jim A’s UYE of Ice Cream Social is the coolest, and the finest UYE that I’ve ever participated despite the small bumps. A great way to start the UYE journey for the 2016 year! Nice going Jim A! P. S. I also thanks to the Cornflower Creamery crew for doing the coolest service for us! A huge compliments for their hard effort!
