Visions of Eden

Visions of Eden is a gem amongst the usual touristy shops of Old Sacramento. It’s a store that could easily fit in any eclectic or unique shopping area of Sacramento or other cities in Northern California. I’ve visited this adorable shop 3 times, over the last several years and each time I’ve been warmly greeted and offered some type of baked goods or sweets as a welcome (nice touch!)
Their wares range from jewelry to home & garden accessories to lotions and soap. Most of it is garden or nature themed and it is all very well priced. I’ve purchased some small bird figures here for my garden and have seriously considered some of their locally made soaps, which smell wonderful.
Staff is great and they offer a 20% coupon with Unilocal check in. Definitely a store to stop in for gifts for others and yourself!

They have Poo-​Pourri! And they give you 10% off if you check in on Unilocal.This is a nice little locally owned shop in Old Sacramento. It’s a perfect location for a store like this and is a regular stop whenever I’m in Old Sac.
They have a nice assortment of merchandise that you don’t think you need, but they make your life easier or solve problems that you didn’t know you had.

Very Cool Unique Stuff That Is Actually Useful

Imagine a store in a tourist trap (Old Sacramento) that sells «trinkets» and «odd items» that you can actually USE.
THE SETUP
As it turns out, Visions of Eden is indeed a unique gift store that has been in Old Sacramento since 1997, and it specializes unique gifts and accessories that are really a very eclectic mix of items you can use for the home, in the garden, or as they like to tout, for your «body and soul»!
SPECIAL HOLIDAY NOTE
Since Christmas is just next week at the time of this writing, they do indeed do a special services gift wrap, meaning that they will gift-​wrap any purchase and ship it anywhere in the 48 lower states. As the example you see shows, the gift wrap is a kraft box with a ribbon with a simple, elegant look and they attach the gift card with a brief message prior to shipping.
ITEMS
As hinted above, the items are very varied, from aromatherapy special soaps, body care products, etc. To very unique works of art. They seem to have a corner right now on Haitian Metal Work. Very interesting.
SNOOZIES
Okay. I brought my mom in here on her last visit and she went crazy cause she wanted a snoozie, so I got her a pair for only about $ 20 (guys — make your mom happy). They are a really soft warm hybrid of what you’d get if you crossed a pair of socks with a pair of slippers. Since mom has tender feet, she loves the brushed fleece that are nice on her feet.
THE LOWDOWN
A wonderful eclectic, eccentric unique store in Old Sacramento where you can find some fun items.

Really classy, beautiful items that will work as a gifts for anyone you know. I went looking all over town, and didn’t find anything for my friend’s birthday until I came in here. Great variety. Very reasonable prices. Wonderful customer service. Just a great experience all around.

Pro tip: if you are looking for one of the little souvenir bottles with gold in them, get it here. Theirs are only $ 5 and are much cuter and have more gold than the ones sold everywhere else within a one-​mile radius.
This is the cutest little store! They have some of the most unique soap and knickknacks I have found downtown. The downside is that most of it is really pricey, but I have found a few steals here and there.
For example, they have the cutest measuring spoons I have ever seen in my life for $ 24.99 a set. I passed on those.
What I did pick up were some clearance bath products, and the only magnet I have ever found with my daughter’s name spelled correctly. They also do some custom magnet and framing options here which are pretty neat, but again, pricey.
The staff has always been super-​friendly and the store has always been neat when I’ve been in.

Beautiful store! I am a sucker for three things great smelling soaps, scarves, and jewelry. Wouldn’t you know it, they happen to have all three and more!!! I was acknowledged immediately when I walked through the door and was offered a cookie, I LOVE awesome customer service!
Needless to say, I took my time picking out some great smelling soaps and added a new scarf to my collection.
I will make the drive back!

There are always new and different items in this store and so it always fun to drop in whether we are actually looking for something specific or just browsing through Old Sacramento. Our latest buys here have been Haitian oil drum artwork, very interesting pieces.

Just bought a mosaic Sea Horse for $ 12.99 that matches my garden décor. I LOVE it & i love this store!!!
