Made it by this place for a knife as a birthday present for my brother. The knife selection seemed limited and not all sizes and shapes were present. As I was only — mostly shopping for a knife I was a little disappointed. The knife I ended up with is high quality, in-expensive and better quality than his other knifes, so it turned out good. Of course they have all kinds of cooking gadgets and restaurant supplies of every description.

Yaffee has a great selection of cooking gadgets. I’ve purchased two French presses so I can keep one at home and one at work. Ray is the manager there and has been very helpful when I need something that isn’t in stock. Other restaurant supply stores are less attentive and don’t follow through on what they promise.

Every stainless steel cooking and serving tool in the world is sold here, I swear to god. If you need salad tongs, coffee creamers, steam trays, cake stands, colanders, pizza cutters, or the like and can’t find it at Target or the mall then Yaffee will probably have it. It’ll cost you, Yaffee charges rack rate in the store because his real business is hotels and restaurants, not people. The store is a showroom, not a shopping place per se. They have catalogs for special orders and all that — they are the real deal.

Wow! I driven and walked by this place like a gazillion times since I was established in the Sac area, let’s just say many moons ago, and, I never attempted to set foot inside until today. It’s a place that just blended into the rest of the private office buildings nearby. As my sister-friend(BFF in youngin terms) is in need of some restaurant-quality doo-dads and whatnot, I suggest we stop on in and see what’s up(sign says open to the public). Well, by golly, this is my new favorite restaurant/my-kitchen gadget supply dream! So much easier to find what you need here than some other bigger, less-personable restaurant supply stores in the area. Um, maybe it’s because they’ve been in the business for a good 50+ years? Whatever it is, this place rocks. If you can’t find it, the very nice lady working there will help you find it in the store, or in a variety of catalogs… and, then let you keep the catalog for future reference. And, then she’ll most likely proceed to give you great information, ideas, and leads on any other items they don’t carry, and where to seek them. I highly recommend! I’m going to stop on in on my nightly strolls just to satisfy my cooking gadget window-shopping fix, and just to chat it up with the nice woman there.
