Stacey’s Country Kitchen

We went there on Thursday, May 5, 2016. This place was easy for handicapped people to enter but the floors needed recovering. The restrooms were clean but very small. The personal was really friendly and helpful. The menu is pretty much what you would expect and the food is very well prepared. We noticed a different presentation each time we visited but this could be due to different cooks. The helpings were always generous. I think a bit of background music would help a lot.

Great place to eat. Food is outstanding. Owners and staff are friendly and attentive. The facility is clean with that down home feel. I would definitely recommend adding Stacey’s to you favorites list.

Ordered an ultimate breakfast burrito. Was supposed to have gravy but it did not. Was just OK overall. Wife had some fiesta burrito which had literally one piece of tomato as salsa. I assume they were not prepared that day bit regardless I have no plans on returning especially given Connie’s and the hoot owl are far superior.

My stars are for the waiting staff. The young girl was nice and concerned for lack of satisfaction in the meal provided. I do however wish the lady at the register whom I assume to be the owner or at least manager would have asked what was wrong as there were only a few tweaks that would have made my meal tasty.
I ordered a mexi omelet and red potatoes. At first glance the egg party of the omelet was too thin and stuffed inside was bland ground beef and a few «would be» Mexican ingredients. A little more egg, a little less beef, and well seasoned, would have made the omelet rather pleasant.
The red potatoes were cooked quite well actually but lacked flavor. Salt is on tables for those that want too much. Real flavor comes from cooking with salt so that it gives time to draw out the flavor of the food (all chefs know this, including myself).
The soda was flat and the omelet had a couple sprinkles of cheese shredded on top. Overall I finished only a quarter of my meal.
I gave four stars due to a successful french dip I had in the past and for the nice wait staff. I will probably go back someday and try their biscuits and gravy as I am a huge fan and the Hoot Owl is a little further of a drive when I am busy.

First time we visited and it was the best breakfast I’ve had in north idaho. They had the absolute best iced tea and everything was seasoned perfectly. Large delicious portions. I will definitely be back, even though it’s a little drive to get there!

Love this place every time we come visit. Portion size is big and delicious. Everything seasoned just right. Friendly staff. Only complaint is wish they served pancakes and French toast later than 11am. Can’t wait to visit again.

This place is simple, great, home style food. I felt like I was at grandmas. Fried chicken was crispy, mashed potatoes were lumpy and the fries were amazing! Prices were very fair and the parking was good. Only a matter of time until this gem expands into a bigger location and everyone in sandpoint discovers it! Only negative comments I had was that they advertise a salad comes with your meal bit then they tell you it’s an extra charge, and my stomach wasn’t any bigger so I couldn’t finish my meal! It’s a lot of food, but damn, it’s good!

Again, (visited five times) mixed feelings and mixed food quality.
Most anything deep fried (fish & chips, chicken) is overdone, dry or even burnt.
They will happily reburn your order. ;-) Why are fries on thethe soggy side… i don’t know. Not «bad», i presume many like soggy fries?
It is clear there is an odd mixture of frozen mixed with fresh.
If i must eat there, i stick to french dip sandwich… quite decent.
I «want» to love this place, but can only manage it perhaps twice a year. Our first experience, when they first opened, EVERYTHING was fresh, hot, properly cooked &unprofessional wonderful. Don’t know what prompted it into mediocrity. Could be much worse, or much better. :-)

We own a summer place in Sagle and Stacey’s is a great breakfast place. My daughter is a picky eater but she really enjoys the pancakes here. The servers all make you feel welcome and it is a good value for your money.

I’ve been there twice for lunch and the food was blah and quite generic, and décor dismal. Maybe I’ll give breakfast a try… Staff were nice, that’s about it for the positives.

I love this place. There isn’t anything like some country soul food on a chilly day. This place has a warm feeling to it, and their staff is super friendly. Not only are they friendly, they’re pretty snappy too! My sister had her younger daughter and they were very helpful getting her settled in and comfortable. This is a great low-​key place to bring a family. And every thing is pretty low priced, which is refreshing. Overall if you’re looking for a great place to grab some great food at great prices, check this place out!

I have been to Stacey’s Country Kitchen once for dinner and once for lunch. The service was very friendly and fast considering the place was full both times. The food came out promptly and was very good both times. I highly recommend Stacey’s and will be returning as often as I can.

Nice country kitchen cooking. This place is just off a busy highway so keep a look out for it right off the road. It was a nice little joint. We came in from out of town and noticed it was mostly the local crowd. There was a chef nazi yelling out orders in the kitchen and the waitresses had to hear this through the swinging door. It was pretty funny. He would just scream out orders in the kitchen. The waitresses are bustling around trying to make everyone happy.
I ordered a spinach and mushroom omelete. It had a lot of mozzarella cheese and some bacon. The side was red russet potatoes. Sliced thin and cooked just right. I also had an english muffin. Covered in margarine. A side of gravy for $ 1.75 to top off the meal. The gravy was okay. Very creamy but could use a bit more sausage.
Coffee was okay but could be a little stronger.

Stopped here on a whim, glad we did! The staff was friendly, helpful and patient with our 2yr old. Our drinks were never half empty. The portions are huge! The prices are about $ 5-​$ 10 for breakfast. It’s typical diner fare but better than most. The hash browns were crisp and garlicky without being too greasy. There are no vegan/​vegetarian options for meat or egg replacers. So I was stuck with hash browns and toast.
If you’re coming for breakfast make it here before 11am if you want pancakes or french toast. We’ll be back next year when passing through town again.
Side note for parents: there is a handful of high chairs but only one booster. They also have a few handheld games to keep little ones busy!

This is definitely diner style food — which I generally hate. I had breakfast here the other day — the meatlover’s skillet — and it was awesome. Trying to power through a good hangover, this meal packed enough greasy deliciousness to do the trick. The portion was huge, I could only eat about half — and I’m a big guy. Prices were very reasonable for the portion size, waitstaff was friendly.

If you want a good home cooked meal these guys rock.
