What a find! Saw some great reviews on Unilocal for a little diner-y sounding place 2 minutes from work. Decided to try it today… smart move! Greek gyros, burgers, simple sandwiches. We had a burger, gyro and a gyro omelette. Good, great and wow in that order. I would have the omelette every day if i could. Also had Baba ganoush and hummus sides. Delicious! Will be back often.

A great place to eat and catch-up with friends. The food is excellent and is price appropriate. We have made this our place to have breakfast with friends on the weekends. The menu is extensive and they will pretty much make you whatever you want — regardless if on the menu or not.

I’m usually all about the food so this is the first time I’ve ever found food to be a 5⁄5 but wouldn’t go back due to how bad the service is(most places that have this bad of service can’t produce food worth eating). The last few times here have shown that they don’t know how to run a line. They take 10 – 20 minutes to serve the simplest of foods even when there is little to no wait. Today was the worst example of that ineptitude. This morning, I ordered a breakfast burrito and there were 5 orders(not large to go orders, single person for here orders) in front of me. It took 26 minutes to get my order. I love the quality of their breakfast food but the fact that they take that long to prepare the food makes me never want to go back. It was fine back when they weren’t very popular but now they’re pretty busy a lot of mornings so I never stop there on any day when I’m heading to work and even on the weekends I tend to avoid it.

This is my first time here. I had the Philly cheesesteak and fries. It was very good. The sandwich comes with green peppers, onions, mushrooms and provolone cheese. Mmmmm. The best I’ve had in St. Louis. Only NYC beats it. The only problem I had with it is there were 2 small bones in the meat. About ¼″ long. The food was hot and the meat was tender. They serve Pepsi products. Diet Dr Pepper too. Heinz ketchup is used, not the cheap stuff. The building is older but clean. Plenty of seating. You order from the counter and they bring you your food. They have a good selection of donuts that looked very fresh. There are a couple of big screen tv’s in the corners and had daytime show on. I work at a hotel in the area. I will be recommending this place to our guests.

Stopped in for a little something for dinner since I’ve been hearing such great reviews of this little café. I’ve never been here but, the menu was easy to look over and the kind lady upfront was more than helpful when I asked about the sauce that came on the chicken gyro. Wow! It truly was delicious! The chicken was grilled and it had plenty of fresh lettuce, tomato, onion and the special gyro sauce. The pita bread was soft and the sandwich by itself without the side is a very filling meal. I will definitely try something new next time I go, possibly breakfast one morning. They have donuts as well. Now, while I’m not a big donut lover myself my family is and they had such a selection of donuts and pastries I wasn’t sure what to get. I ended up getting one cannoli and a strawberry long John for the family and they loved them. Decent prices on a dozen as well, if you are bringing them to work for everyone. I say I’m very surprised at how great this spot really is and I do plan on coming back!

Went here for lunch based on a coworker recommendation. I had the gyro and it was one of the best ones I have ever had! I will definitely be coming back.

Came here for the first time after wanting something different for breakfast and let me tell you I was not disappointed! My wife ordered the biscuit and gravy and was ready to complain because since leaving the east coast she hasn’t found a good let alone decent plate of biscuits and gravy and boy was she surprised!!! I ordered the gyro egg and cheese sandwich and if you have any taste buds treat them to this sandwich. 16.00 filled both of us up! We will DEFINITELY be coming back here!

Been buying donuts here for several months and they are always great. Have a good selection of donuts even after 12PM. Have had excellent cannolli’s here as well. Very nice people.

Great food and service! It’s worth the trip from wherever you are. The Philly cheese steak sandwich is the most popular item. I recommend the falafel sandwich, but omit the pickle to cut down on sodium. The baba ghanoush is excellent. Breakfast items are served all day and there’s a nice selection of donuts available. Do try the baklava!

We tried this spot this morning thanks to Unilocal.Never knew it existed. Located close to the new Menards that is going in at the old Northwest Plaza site. First of all the place is spacious and spotlessly clean. The staff are super friendly. I tried the breakfast burrito at the suggestion of the associate and it was terrific. My wife had donuts which are great too. The prices are very affordable and the menu selection is large. I’ll be back to try the omelet and then a croissant breakfast sandwich. The lunch menu looks great to. This place is a gem.

Had gyro omelette and falafel, my table mates had gyro salad, gyro sandwich and sausage and egg on a bagel with a side of babaganoush. My 3 egg omelette wit coffee toast and the falafel was $ 8, More than reasonable. Everything was really good, and the service was great. 2 rings really stood out in the meal, the coffee was really really good and the babaganoush was simply amazing!!! Whatever you get when you come here get that. And I absolutely hate eggplant, but I could tear every day.

They’ll put gyro meat on just about anything for you… including an omelette or croissant. My family raves about the burgers, and the portions are large but good quality. The menu is very diverse. Donuts are a bit above the standard for donuts around here. Not a huge fan of the baba ganoush. Definitely a matter of personal preference, though. The dining area is open and well lit. Very clean, and friendly staff who are very willing to accomodate. Great experience!

I’ve been here for lunch a number of times now after receiving a recommendation from a co-worker. It’s close to where I work, so convenience is a plus. I like to go on Thursdays when the Cardinals are playing. The people are very accommodating about tuning into the game on one of their two nice flat screens. Sitting in a booth eating and watching is very comfortable. I’ve ordered both the gyro with onion rings and the grilled chicken sandwich with fries. I was not disappointed with either. Very good. I’m not a picky eater, so I’m not the best for reviews like this, but I really enjoyed both of these offerings. I had the baklava a couple times for dessert, which was very good as well. Looking forward to trying other menu items(burger, Philly, chicken gyro). The people here are very nice and inviting, which is always a plus. This is just the kind of place I love to patronize. Yes, I’d recommend The Sweet Spot(and I have). Very nice spot just off the beaten path(Lindbergh), near NW Plaza and its reincarnation.

Sweet Spot Café embodies the essence of just about my favorite type of restaurant, neighborhood hang outs, and hole-in-the-walls. This place although quite charming with the ability to grow on you very quickly ISNOT a hole-in-the-wall. It is small but is on the upper end IMO of the neighborhood hangout spectrum. This is the type of place you could go for only a cup of coffee and sit there very comfortably watching cable news or whatever happens to be on the 2LED TVs on premise. With nice cushiony chairs(no couches or wingbacks however), good Chauvin coffee, and a great atmosphere created by the friendly/welcoming, seemingly familial staff, Sweet Spot Café has made my shortlist for neighborhood spots in this area. Now as for the food, the serve a nice, small breakfast menu comprised of mostly variations of their breakfast sandwich. Bacon, sausage, ham, steak, or even lamb gyro meat with cheese and egg on your choice of conveyance(toast, biscuit, bagel, croissant, or pita), and a large selection of fresh or grilled vegetables. The breakfast sandwiches are basic, good food done right. Eluding to their name, Sweet Spot Café is also a donut shop and offers the usual variety of fresh, daily made donuts we’re all familiar with. The donuts are another winner. It is worth noting that they serve the entire breakfast menu all day. For lunch/dinner selections, it is burgers, gyros, falafel, philly cheesesteaks, etc. I’ve only had the Steak Philly and gyro but they are both good and made a positive impression, I will definitely be back for these. Four star review is for the espresso machine being out of order on my visits, and there being way to many green peppers and onions on my sandwiches. Could definitely be a revision to 5 stars if these issues are addressed soon.

My mother in law said we should try this place out. It’s not to far from there house. So we all went out to eat. I ordered the gyro with cheese fries. The group came out loaded with gyro meat lettuce, tomatoes and gyro sauce. The pita bread was light. The gyro meat was tender and juicy. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh. The cheese fries were crispy and topped with just enough cheese. I dipped some in ketchup. For dessert I had a cinnamon roll. It was nice and moist. It was what a cinnamon roll should taste like. Had a bite of my wife’s chicken gyro. It was good to. Only down fall of my first experience was the AC was out so it was a little warm inside. But that won’t stop me from going back.

Fiancé and I came here tonight after we started our laundry next door! What a fantastic place. He got the gyro and I ordered a Philly Cheese Steak, very accommodating when I asked for it without peppers. Food came out fairly quickly and tasted great! The gyro has lots of fresh veggies and cheese! I’ve come one time before for breakfast and coffee. The bacon, egg, and cheese on croissant was worlds above any sandwich you could get at a fast food place, and the same price. The latte was a bit of a disappointment, but I think maybe just the person working the counter wasn’t familiar with how espresso can go bitter if left to sit more than a few seconds before adding it to the milk. If the espresso gets better, that will add the last star for me!

Omg — stopped here on a whim after dropping a family member at the airport. Friendly owner greeted me right away. Ordered a half dozen donuts to go and stayed for an omelette. Yum! Huge portion, fresh veggies cooked just right. Definitely a place to come back to! Great Chauvin coffee as well.

I’m a simple man who appreciates simple food, I don’t need exotic tastes to be impressed, I had the gyro is was perfect! Crispy lettuce, soft warm flatbread and juicy lamb! It’s was delicious and I got some doughnuts, my favorite are cake with white icing and sprinkles. Again perfect! Simple sweet and fresh all my favorite things! I’ll be back on Thursday with more people. Also the owner(in assuming) was very nice and the place was SUPER clean which I love! That usually means the place where they perform the cooking is clean too!

Hubby and I popped in today after hearing good things about the place. We had a delightful experience. Hubs had the Gyro and I had the Philly Cheese Steak. Both were delicious, but the Gyro was FANTASTIC! The food was hot and very fresh, the service was fast and friendly. We took home half a dozen donuts(they make them fresh every morning). All I can say is we were very pleased and will be back.
