As a burger snob they have the best in town. Tried a lot of other places that claim to have the best and they never stack up to Mango Mangos to the Char cooked Island burger. You also have to have the coleslaw just wonderful. I have tried a few other items but always come back to the burgers.

We return each time we visit St. Augustine. Clean, updated and super yummy. Mahi Mahi, coleslaw and all with lots of fruit and special sauces. Highly recommend! Within walking distance from the beach.

Holy Arroz con Pollo! Stopped in at this unassuming little place on cold windy night in February and was transported to warmer climes immediately. It really doesn’t look like a 4 ½ star place: more like a neighborhood café trying to look Caribbean. Just laminated menus and specials scrawled on a chalkboard. Until you get your food… Ordered the Arroz con Pollo and a Cuban sandwich with a side of beans. We weren’t expecting the world from this place, but to say we were pleasantly surprised would be the understatement of the year. It was simply the best Chicken and Rice we have ever had. Period. No contest. The seasoning had a Caribbean flavor that was amazing, with black beans and sweet plantains perfectly cooked and nicely presented. The Cuban sandwich was correctly done, with ham cheese pickle and most importantly, a good Cuban roll. Got it with a side of those amazingly seasoned black beans. Added a cold beer and for a while at least we forgot about the crappy weather. It was so good we got an order to go a few days later. Do not miss this place if you are within 50 miles of Anastasia Island!

Great food. We had a great experience. The food was awesome. Giving 1 star less because of the wait. The rest of the service was great

There is a fun, energetic atmosphere to this restaurant; the staff was very busy but having fun and enjoying their work. I will second other reviews on the mango slaw — delicious! Fish cooked«just right»!

This is a great stop near the beach with great prices. Start with chips and salsa. The salsa has great fruit flavor… yeah, just go with it. Trust me. Go with the corn cakes and add the pulled pork. It’s good and evil, meaning sweet and spicy. The slaw compliments it well balancing the plethora of taste. The Cuban is a lot to eat. Better like mustard cause, it’s good together. Fries are crispy and make a nice side. The pulled pork tacos are splendid — get the mango’s slaw cause it’s the most unique and it’s sweet. The mahi mahi sandwich was a full size with robust flavor. The artichoke vegetable of the day was special. The wings dry rub works if you like that flavor. The shrimp tacos are really really good. Not too spicy. The fried fish sandwich will require a take-home container but is worth it. The margaritas are strong and the Koko Brown is liquid aloha. Highly recommend this place. The price is right and the service is great every time.

We stopped here a couple of years ago on a hot August afternoon for a drink. We came back later that day but separately. The owner remembered us and told me my wife was already here and waiting for me. We were so impressed that buying 2 bottles of water earlier in the day and he remembered us. That is great customer service. The dinner we had was excellent and we make this a” must do” when we visit. Today I had the Cuban burger and my wife had the Hawaiian chicken. Both were great.

Coming in the door, there are 3 seating areas, like a front porch and back porch with lots of windows and table seating, and the third area in the middle is the bar and booth area. Bar and booth is a lot noisier but warmer on a cool night in January. We started with the app corn cakes wow, I can see why people order them as an entrée. Perfectly fried, with spicy verde sauce on the side, cheese stuffed, with fresh avocado slices, oh my you need these. We continued with a Mango Mahi-Mahi sandwich for me, served with a tartar sauce that went beyond the normal, more chunky and spicy. I had a side of the mango slaw, crispy and with mandarin oranges on top. A Cuban steak sandwich special for DH, nicely tender and big enough that he couldn’t do justice to his side of black beans and rice. All just excellent food, quick and attentive service. 5-star if there was just more heat in the porch, it was just chilly enough to be uncomfortable. Tip: They are serious about the parking lot only for patrons, lots of warning signs. Good for the patrons but I wouldn’t leave the car there to walk to the beach after eating.

Jerk pork quesadilla with a side of black beans for lunch. The black beans were some of the best I’ve ever had. The jerked pork had just enough kick. Nice flavored!

We’ve been here many times — fun, loud atmosphere and great food! The veggie wrap was excellent. Hard to find a good quality vegetarian meal, and this is it! My family loves the huge burgers.

This place is so tropical and the food is so yummy. We ordered the Chipotle Shrimp tacos and the Cabana Havana Mahi Mahi. Both were amazing! The sides we ordered were the mango coleslaw, carribean rice and fries. Everything was great and the service was excellent. This is a great spot, you have a short walk to the beach afterwards.

Great spot for a casual and delicious meal! You can watch the game(even though my Seminoles had their victory stolen the night I was there — no hard feelings) and/or dine with children, family, and friends. I had the blackened mahi on the house salad. Delicious! Finding a line chef who doesn’t overcook fish can feel like finding the leprechaun at the end of the rainbow. Paradise found, right here! Cherish that, folks. Good selection of local beers but I was pretty disappointed that the large bar area doesn’t bring any liquor offerings. Free parking in the back, friendly efficient service, and(relatively) late hours. If I find myself back in St Augustine Beach, I’m sure to stop back by. Bottom line: great food at good prices with a cool casual atmosphere.

We drove the extra mile to try out this local dining destination. I ordered the Mahi sliders, with a side of yuca fries and black beans. It all was delicious. The fish was well seasoned, with a kick, and the beans warmed me up on a chilly evening. One of the tasty surprises were the yuca fries and the coconut sweet sauce that came with the fries. It tasted like icing! Combined with the fried yuca, they reminded me of a funnel cake in taste. Glad we tried-out this new place, it’s a great spot near the beach!

5+ years later, this is still my favorite place to eat. Great little Caribbean vibe, rain or shine, hot or cold, lunch or dinner. Food is always tasty, staff is always friendly, and it’s inexpensive. Ultimate island burger, Mango Wrap, and the Cuban are all winners. Great quirky sides and deserts, too. All somehow work. Glad this place is here!

Dang Unilocal. You are making this vacation awesome. I got the coconut shrimp and plantains. My husband got jerk pork tacos. My picky husband declared«this jerk makes me realize every other jerk was amateur hour» And I usually am not a seafood person but the coconut shrimp were amazing and fresh. I ate too much and now need to pass out on the beach…

Stopped by here for lunch based on Unilocal reviews. It’s a small and casual place. We were immediately seated. Server was very nice and attentive. Food presentation was amazing! I ordered corn cakes with jerk chicken and was disappointed with it. Chicken and corn cake was cold. .like refrigerated cold, which made me question freshness of it. Server assured chicken was made that morning. We were first ones there at 11 so go figure. Server ordered me a another one which was much better. Everybody else loved their food…

Ate here a few weeks back while on a weekend day trip up to Saint Augustine to go to the farmers market and it was the best decision I could have made. The restaurant is right near the beach, in what looked like a remodeled house that had indoor and patio seating and played ska music like Mustard Plug and The Slackers. Although it had already won me over, the food at Mango Mango’s is the real reason why I can’t stop thinking about it. Their famous corn cakes with jerk chicken on top were phenomenal, although I was disappointed in the black beans I ate everything else on the plate. The tuna wrap was great, as well. Will definitely come back on my next trip to the area.

St. Augustine is a big foodie town– any type of cuisine one desires can be found here. Vegan, raw, Cuban, Irish and of course, seafood. What would a Florida beachside town be without a fabulous seafood restaurant? My better half Chad and I visited Mango Mangos Caribbean Grill with high expectations. Mango Mangos is located on the main road through St. Augustine Beach. A small strip lined with plenty of seafood eateries and bars. We did our research and Mango Mangos was consistently everyone’s favorite. The first thing we ordered was the Mango Mangos Famous Corn Cake. Corn cakes stuffed with Monterrey Jack cheese and topped with sour cream, avocado, salsa verde and pico de gallo. It was love at first bite. I could eat a stack of those alone. I also wanted to try the Clam and Shrimp Chowder. While it was good, it was mostly cream and not a lot of seafood. I wouldn’t(and didn’t) order it again on our next visit. Chad ordered the Mahi Sliders as his entrée. Served on mini Hawaiian rolls, the mahi was blackened and served with pepper jack cheese, pico de gallo and cabbage with a spicy jerk sauce. He enjoyed them immensely and savored every bite. I ordered the Cabana Havana Mahi Mahi. A filet of grilled mahi mahi brushed with a spicy Cuban sauce and topped with pineapples, mangos, avocado, red pepper and onion. The fish was fresh and meaty, and the fruity salsa was tangy and sweet. On the side we enjoyed black beans and rice, steamed broccoli and mango slaw. The mango slaw was sweet and fruity. Very unique. On a second visit I tried the Do The Mango Wrap with sushi grade tuna, mandarin oranges, pineapples, lettuce, tomato, cheese and avocado ranch dressing. The menu stated everything was wrapped in a tomato-basil wrap but instead my meal arrived in a white flour wrap. Otherwise, it was very tasty and satisfying. Chad had the fish tacos with mahi. It was basically a tortilla filled with chunks of mahi and topped with lettuce, tomato and a spicy mayo. We both most definitely preferred the meals we had on our previous visit. However, the second visit did introduce us to the yucca fries. While I am not usually a big yucca fan, these fries were incredibly hearty and served with the most amazing mango colada sauce. I could dump that sauce on mud and it would be delicious. Mango Mangos seemed to be a pretty popular place with a very Caribbean and bright atmosphere. The restaurant and bar were both busy with a lot of people greeting one another– leading me to believe that many locals frequent this beach spot.
