Cute little place, friendly staff and darn good food! Bonus points for waffle fries. I had the Abby’s BLT which is a BLT with the addition of a fried egg, cooked however you like. The BLT is a triple-decker, which was not indicated on the menu and they were not shy about piling on the bacon, either, so this sandwich was huge. The Hubs had a the waffle/breakfast sausage sliders which came with a side of sausage gravy for dipping. The waffles were quite soft, not at all crispy on the outside so that was the only downside but it still tasted good. And that sausage gravy… oh my! This is the only place with sausage gravy better than my own — they use some kind of smoked sausage in it and man was it delicious! We also tried their Cidermosa’s which is a hard cider(they had 4 different fruit flavors to choose from) mixed with OJ which I enjoyed but the Hubs wasn’t a fan.

Cute place and not too small. Menu offers a nice range of breakfast treats. Had the waffle biscuit & gravy with a little sausage mixed in. Just enough. Great presentation. Only thing, wish their coffee wasn’t $ 2.49 a cup, even with free refills. Rumor has it they’re expanding.

They were quite literally a group of high schoolers who run this restaurant like millennials would. Little to no customer service, and waitresses are in their own world. They’re fine but don’t expect great people skills. Their coffee is 2.50, because it’s supposedly Kona. But I couldn’t taste the difference. Sounds nit picky but it’s just one example of a fluffed up piece of nothing.

Love the atmosphere and décor, staff are friendly. Portion sizes are a little small(ordered a waffle and the size is slightly small and thickness is about half of a regular waffle. The flavor of their breakfast potatoes are amazing. I do enjoy the food, but if I’m really hungry I’ll go elsewhere to get a good portion. Coffee is good too. My daughter loves that they have a selection of books for her to read.

What a great spot! If you want a Bloody Mary on Sunday, wait till after 10 am… but they’ll likely be a wait. I had scoped the menu out ahead of time and decided on the waffle and gravy. Waffle made from biscuit batter and gravy made with andouille sausage. They make a killer skillet too. Friendly wait staff and delicious coffee. Be sure to look at all the childrens drawings of foxes that line the tops of the walls. Sone great old photos of the Fox River too. Already looking forward to my next visit.

Had great expectations for this place. Food was OK, not great. Presentation is severely lacking. Mexican omelet was so spicy it overpowered the dish. Beignets had little flavor due to the sparse sprinkling of powdered sugar… just fried bread. Service was friendly, however not all that attentive. My coffee cup was empty the majority of our meal. There are much better choices for breakfast in STC& Geneva.

Decided on a whim to go for brunch during the week. The food was incredible! And to make it better, the staff was super helpful and friendly. Will definitely make this place a routine visit.

Quaint local breakfast shop. Felt very welcomed. The duck bacon rocked and the kids loved the fried Spam. Mmmmm. Give it a try.

Good brunch spot — Terrific Food! Food — Great skillet. I had the Mexican skillet, without the jalapenos. Coffee was very tasty too. Price — Eh, Ok. Egg Harbor is less expensive, but not by much. Not something worth complaining over. I paid for two meals, and two coffees, which amounted to around $ 26. $ 13 a person for brunch is a bit pricy, but the food definetely brings back the customer. Environment — Very cute. Seating is limited, but server assured us that it’s rarely a wait to get in. It’s a bit off the road, didn’t sense that there was ever long lines like Buttermilk. Service — Very nice young lady, but she wasn’t attentive enough. Definetely the weakest part of the experience, as I had to ask for a refill once and remind her to take the bill. To be fair, she was busy, and very kind. Cleanliness — Restrooms were well kept, but their were ants on the wall next to us. Overall — Good food, service could’ve been better.

Tried Abby’s for the first time today and was blown away! Great space(which I was told would be expanding soon), extremely friendly staff, and the owner seemed like a great guy! The food was great! I highly recommend the chorizo chicken enchiladas & reuben benedict. I can’t wait to come back on a weekend and sample some of their adult beverages!

I love that downtown St Charles finally got a breakfast joint! Abbey’s has a cute pinterest-y feel to it. The menu isn’t huge but I like that. We’ve always had good service every time we’ve gone in. I have noticed that it does get a little nippy but nothing like keeping my coat or sweater on can’t fix. I appreciate when they bring out my mimosa with the wine glass and a separate oj glass.

Hands down the best breakfast joint around! The staff is extremely friendly, service is always right on and the food… drooling at just about everything on the menu. My kids are picky eaters and they clean their plate when they are here. I personally enjoy the omelettes and the hash browns, which I always seem to eat first and pout that I have no more to eat with my meal! Waffle and sausage gravy, skillets, the corn beef hash with sweet potatoes, I mean the list continues and all have been delicious with tons of flavor! Have yet to have a bad experience here, I mean even the bathrooms are super clean and«cute». If you’re in the area and looking for good food, look no were else, this is the place to go!

4.5 Stars here… There are a ton of wonderful things to say about Abby’s. The smiles as we walked in were big and bright. The books in the waiting/kids area are awesome; the selection is perfect for any age. The ambiance is quaint and cute for STC. It’s a great addition to all the bars downtown. The food was excellent and there are plenty of healthy options. I will go back, for sure. The -.5 star is for the price to portion ratio. My chicken salad, I opted for it served in avocado halves, was delicious. I got a side salad as my side choice and my meal was totally appropriate for $ 9.99. My sister got the Southwest Chix Salad. It was a bit small and bell peppers were listed on the menu, but didn’t arrive. For $ 9.99, a portillos salad would have a bit more for less $. The kids got various kids meals. My disappointment came with the waffle, bacon combo. The waffle was thin and only half of one. I think a whole waffle would be more fitting for $ 5.49. Mind you, I tasted a bite, and somehow it is way better than a typical waffle, just a tad small. The pluses outweigh anything negative I could say. I will go back, I just may add an egg to my son’s meal :-)

When I walked in the door I saw weird décor. Pink walls and stain glass scenery. Once we have the waitress our order it took a while for the food to come out. For Breakfast I got a ham and cheese omelet with hash browns and a pancake. The omelet was extremely salty and the hash browns were over seasoned with a bad after taste. The pancake was just fine. None of the food was that good and it was freezing in there. No more than two stars.

We don’t often go out for breakfast because it’s the cheapest meal of the day(food wise) but can cost as much, if not more, than dinner. This turned out to be the case here(although admittedly alcohol was involved so that was more on us) but it was worth it because the food was unique and delicious. I had the Hawaiian Eggs Benedict which were the best eggs benedict I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating. The hashbrowns were uniquely seasoned too which made them better than your average greasy flavorless hashbrowns. My husband had the sweet potato corned beef hash with eggs which he loved. He also had a bloody mary which was different with the cucumber vodka used. Our server was warm and friendly and very attentive. My only complaint is they should probably warn you when ordering coffee that you’ll be getting the $ 2.50 kona variety. Otherwise it was fantastic and I’m sure we’ll be back at some point. P. S. They’ve lowered the volume of the music for anyone who complained about that. But unlike Andre, I think ambiance is important and if it’s too loud to relax and enjoy your food you should absolutely have that reflect in the # of stars in your review. Environment can be just as important as the quality and taste of the food.
