Owners are cool. Decent selection of beers. However two times now I have gotten beers way past the dates that were skunked. They simply do not change the stock out enough to make it good to go in and do a quick grab. I got two bottles this past week that were both skunked, but moved to the front of the shelf intentionally. Did not see or notice the dates until getting home and giving the shop owners the benefit of the doubt the product was good. (One was from 2013 — EEK that was supposed to be tossed a LOOOONG time ago, and the other was from 2014, same situation. IPA’s. Both should have been tossed out.) If you want to go in quickly and not spend the extra time checking dates on every single thing you purchase beer wise, stay away or shop elsewhere. Once a total wine or Randalls opens up near the St Charles location these places will have to change not only their shelving practices, but also the pricing if they want to have any business at all. As everything is inflated at the smaller shops. Its a shame.

Owners are the best. In the past few years their craft beer selection is easily the best in a ten mile radius! Second shift brewing is even making a beer especially for them. The staff is knowledgable and incredibly helpful.

Quick. Efficient. Great, friendly service. Good selection of hard to find whiskeys. This place is everything an independent liquor store should be. I’m a fan.

My husband and I are huge fans of Bombay and the owner, Hari, and his whole family with whom have now become friends! The other reviewers here are absolutely right, the selection of beers, wines and liquors at Bombay is wonderful. I am gluten-free and I primarily hit them up for wine, tequila and their growing selection of gluten-free beers and ciders and of course to talk with everyone who works there about what we should try, next. It’s an experience to go to Bombay, like a throwback to small town life where everyone knows each other and enjoys the flavors of really great spirits, not just stuff that will get you krunked. …though they have that, too. You can still get your Four Lokos, Hypnotiq and Mad Dog 20⁄20 here! I absolutely recommend this place just off of First Capitol near 70 between a bar and a pawn shop. Seriously, check it out!

This place is awesome! I love Bombay because they always have a great selection of all things alcohol — from beer and liquor to wine. You can buy six packs and big beers in lots of varieties not just AB products. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Often there is a table near the register with clearance items, woo! The other day I was looking for an IPA. I made my selection that happened to be one that I had not had before and the owner suggested others as well as his personal favorite. I thought that was pretty cool and super helpful. I have a current obsession with IPA’s and I can’t wait to go back for some of his suggestions. What also makes me happy about Bombay is that they carry my favorite brewery, Rouge, in lots of options. When I see a new one I buy it. Happiness comes in a bottle or at least in my world it does. I really like the Chimay beers and they have all three in the cooler and on a shelf. I’ve tried so many new beers because of Bombay. If you are looking to try something new or find something that you may not find elsewhere I suggest you try Bombay.

This is the only place I go for all of my alcohol needs. Their beer selection is simply the best I’ve seen in any liquor store ever. The owner Hari is one of the most knowledgeable people I have met when it comes to beer. If you want to try something new and don’t want to go out to a bar like iTap or Bottoms up, this is the place for you. The beer is reasonably priced and the selection is phenomenal. The selection constantly rotates and is always fresh and never past expiration. The owner Hari makes sure to rotate the beers properly to ensure nothing is pushed back and forgotten and left to spoil. I’m not big on hard liquor and wine but their selection for those seems excellent as well. Also noteworthy is their meade selection, sake, and genuine Absinthe. All in all, its a terrific place to supply your household with alcohol.
