I hired firm to get earnest money back on a land purchase gone bad. They did get my money back. Earnest money was $ 1000. Total attorney fees for one certified letter drafted and sent to 2 locations was $ 585. Was billed $ 20 for a phone call. Same billing for them to read my email. Initial $ 195 consultation was billed for $ 300 because it ran long. I won’t say firm isn’t good. I feel I was mislead on how far my $ 500 retainer was going to go. The billing is very high Unless your legal problem is very significant, I would highly recommend to get your information organized and file a small claim suit yourself. It is very inexpensive. I would not hire Federer again just because of the outrageous fees. Or, I would want a set price and not the hourly billing that they do. They will nickel and dime you for everything.

I would not recommend this firm. I took a leap of faith because of the award they had received and retained Mr. Federer. I was heavily billed for the time that it took me to explain my situation for which I was offered no viable solution or advice. Later, when I did really need a court action filed, my follow-up email inquires were ignored and when I went to their office to force a response, I was told that I had an outstanding invoice that needed payment before continuing. Essentially, Mr. Federer handed my case over to one of his associates who did not follow-up on the filing and completely lost any traction in the action. The associate then proceeded to inform me of the situation with regard to the legal aspects of my situation — all of which I was already acutely aware. And of course, billed me for this waste of my time. If you want to waste your time and money, go here.
