Office Depot

This locations has its positives and negatives. First with the positives. So this location is very clean, and nicely laid out so shopping is rather easy. The prices weren’t that bad for what I was looking for, but the employees were helpful. When I was here the other night all the employees were hanging around up front, and didn’t acknowledge our presence in the building. When we couldn’t find what we’re looking for we had to walk up front and interrupt the talkative cashiers to ask where an item was. Some proper training is needed here.

Obviously these employees seem to have trust issues for minorities. Or their loss prevention is overcompensating for something. I went in for my daughters’ back to school supplies and the girl at the cash register wasn’t very friendly. It almost seemed like we inconvenienced her. 4 different white employees asking me if I needed help. One immediately after the other. (As I’m looking down at my daughters’ supply list). How many different ways can I say NO THANKS! I get it people, I’m the only (Asian) minority in that store and I should be leaving. WOW.

Was told by store clerk Max they didn’t carry a certain product after he relunctantly answered any of our questions. He told my husband and I other stores that was far away had the chair and just walked off and said okay. Very rude and disrespectful! We left the store however we went back because I felt this guy was lying because he was so rude to us. Asked a different associate to help and he was great in which he checked to see if the item was in stock and it was right on the back shelf of the store. Unbelievable! I reported Max to the store manager Steve and he said that Max was a tech guy, however when we left the store the first time we saw Max ringing up customers. The manager gave us 10% off since they saw we were spending over $ 500, however it doesn’t excuse the fact that this guy could be so rude to customers. There’s tons of people that would love to have his job and do it right. I’ve experienced rudness before but I don’t believe I’ve ever experienced such natstiness. I guess my husband and I didn’t look like the type of customers he wanted to help. That was my first $ 500 I spent in the local Office Depot and my last! Will take my business elsewhere. This is why I love, love Amazon!
