I am gluten-intolerant. Yesterday, June 26, 2016, I ate at the St. Charles location. I made it very clear to my server that I needed to eat gluten-free and ordered the GF rotini. After waiting a long time for our food, I started eating. After I had a few bites, I noticed a spaghetti noodle in my pasta. I called my server over and showed it to him and asked if they had GF spaghetti, too. He said no, only GF rotini. He apologized and ordered another meal for me. Unfortunately, the damage to me had already occurred, since my pasta had obviously been cooked with regular spaghetti and contaminated. The manager came over and apologized, saying that the server had put my order through on the regular screen instead of the allergen screen, and that he wouldn’t charge me for my meal. That’s the least that he could’ve done! Because the second meal took so long to make, I had to box it up and take it home. I didn’t feel like eating anything else from there so gave it to my son. Today, I have been dealing with the after-effects of basically being poisoned at Olive Garden of St Charles and will be doing so for the next week. I will not eat at an Olive Garden again. It is not worth the pain and discomfort I am experiencing!

We eat at Olive Garden often. This is your average Olive Garden, nothing over the top and not a dive. We ordered takeout from here and they forgot the sauce on my wife’s meal, yes just a pile of noodles in a box. So I had to make the trip back to have them put sauce on it. Other than that, food/service has always been decent. Just make sure you check your food when getting your order to-go.

I ordered to go, i had eggplant parm, there was barely sauce on my spaghetti, so it was really dry, also ordered the chicken gnocchi, it was extremely bland and didn’t have any gnocchi. Ordered dessert, which was delicious !!!

Olive Garden… Mom and dads«go to place». This place is so so for us «kids». Coupons are what bring mom and dad back we believe! The food is fair, I feel this is not a true Italian food representation, it’s usually bland, not much flavor punch! For the prices they offer we think there are so many other restaurants with flavorful and fresh options! Some people love the unlimited salad or soup option with meals, but the salad is iceberg lettuce and fair at best. The soup options are better but again, bland in flavoring. Breadsticks are just ok. Warm, yes, but just a typical warmed breadstick with some oil and salt on them. I can take ‘me or leave ‘em, better carbs out there to consume. I only give this place three stars cuz food comes out as ordered, the service is ok, and the place is clean. That counts for something!

Worth the wait, worth every single penny. Best food I’ve had in a while. Our waitress was Mary and she was really sweet and service was excellent. Everything was perfect, food was hot and delicious. Well done!

The women’s bathrooms always smells horrible. I am unsure if it is bad drains or what. The service is always amazing along with the food. If you could change the bathroom it would be 5 stars.

Wow, I hope the new CEO turns things around. I visited this location on June 6th at about 5:30 pm. Our past experiences we had no issues but this time I asked my wife if she thought we were on candid camera. I listed our experience below so it would be much easier to read. 1. I dropped off 3 guests from our party of 4 at the front door and I proceeded to park the car. As I approached the hostess stand the hostess just stared at me until I greeted her I thought it was the other way around. I asked her if she could direct me to my party of 3 women who just walked in and she replied I have no idea who you are talking about go to your right and than go left I just sat a party not sure if they were all women. I followed her instructions and looked like an idiot walking around in the wrong area, my guests were seated to right in the back corner. 2. As I approached the table my wife said what an unfriendly hostess she sat us at a table that was wet from we are not sure why and when we asked to move over to the next table she gave one of those annoying unfriendly deep breaths. 3. Our server approached and took our drink order but her approach was standing about 5 feet from the table and spoke very softly we were unable to hear her comments. 4. Our server brought us salad barely enough for 2 guests let alone 4, and returned to offer more salad about 10 minutes later we requested the additional salad. In approximately 10 minutes went buy and here are our entrees no salad yet. 5. As we began to eat our meal about half way through her comes the salad, at this time we had no room from all of the plates on table including our salad plates staked up. 6. We asked for soft drink refills but again it took approximately 10 minutes. 7. As we were eating our entrees the server dropped off the check and said I will take this when your ready, thank you. Why would she drop off the check while we are still eating, we were not offered dessert which we wanted. At this time I just told the guests this has to be a fluke there is no way an organization of this type would allow servers to react this way. So I payed my $ 75 bill and went to Dairy Queen for dessert. I should mention that the food was good but the service out weighed the tasty meal.

We went there on mother day for lunch. The service was terrible .it took very long for the waitress to get our order and she did not come to check if we needed any things more. I and my daughter order one kid meal and Alfredo chicken and she gave us only 1 mint at the end.

I’ve been to this location a few times over the last decade and the service and food was always okay. Not this time! I went there last Tuesday night, unknowingly being a guinea pig for the new menu they released 2 days prior. My wife and I both ordered make your own pasta with garlic wine sauce. The menu describes the sauce as being made with garlic, white wine and tomatoes. What arrived was a bowl of pasta with oil and a huge amount of garlic. I actually pulled 4 four heaping tablespoons of garlic out of the pasta. So I informed the waiter of the problem and he truly couldn’t understand the problem no matter how I tried to explain it. He went and spoke to the manager, who never bothered to come and speak to us, and first told us they would comp both meals. I said okay, can we at least have some tomatoes add to these dishes to make them partially edible. He brings us 2 bowls of bruschetta tomatoes straight from the refrigerator to add to our now luke warm pasta. I managed to choke down some of it. Then when we get the check, they only comped one of the meals. On top of this, the service was horrible. We were there nearly 90 minutes with very few visits from our waiter. He was clearly new to the profession, so I’ll cut him a little slack. Overall, bad food, bad service, very loud atmosphere = last visit to Olive Garden

This place smelled bad, like a chicken coop with a severe mold problem. The restaurant is in bad need of a makeover. I’ve been in truck stops with cleaner restrooms. The food was bad too. The meatballs tasted like Salisbury steak. The soup was too salty. The service was pretty good though.

I always give this Olive Garden a try once a year to remind myself why I don’t dine there! I have yet to receive good service! So sad, as they don’t have a lot of Italian Cuisine Restaurants to compete with around here so they bank on that fact! Sick.

Please tell me, is it really a problem if we just want to order lunch on the weekends. My husband asked the hostess if we could get a lunch menu on a Saturday afternoon and this lady barked, we only serve DINNER on the weekends… Our server got us lunch menus and we were ALLOWED to order lunch. Guess what? Not everyone wants huge portions… JUST lunch, with the salad and breadsticks are plenty for us. NOTE: If you go the extra to get us the lunch menus, we go WAY the extra for a HUGE tip… on a side note… PLEASEPLEASE clean your bathrooms… Oh gosh, NASTY

Service was terrible! It took forever to get drink refills, soup refills, they brought eggplant Parmesan out instead of the chicken Parmesan we ordered. The waiter complained to us that he had 2 other tables to serve. It was kind of like they forgot we were here. It’s a party of 9 and there were 2 servers! The food was great though, and the manager stepped up and was very good.

I ate this particular one a several years ago and get nervous eating here. This is not a joke but on one occasion finishing a meal here, I seen one of the cooks when paying my bill enter the restroom. He went in and did a nasty stinky #2(dump.) as I finished my number #1 and was washing my hands. He finished up, walked right out of the washroom, and into the kitchen he went. I immediately summons a manager and told him what just occurred. The manager tried to apologize and offer me a gift certificate, and I told him that his offer was unacceptable. I told him he had 2 choices: he either fire that cook or I called the Kane County Health Department right then and there in the flesh. I told them I wasn’t messing around as I worked as Fireman and had the after hours number. The manger got the Store Manager knowing I was disgusted. I told him what occurred. He said it was going to be handled immediately and I am assuming the cook was fired. Haven’t seen him there again. I have eaten there a few years later and it seems ok. My advice to all: watch staff in the restaurants you eat at! Note their habits. Report them for unacceptable behavior as such. Ask them when they last washed their hands if they look questionable?

Oh, Olive Garden. I’m so sorry that you weren’t feeling well tonight. It’s funny, I am giving them four stars for the service, even though the service wasn’t that great. Confusing? Yes. My husband and I arrived before the rest of our party of nine did so we were able to procure a table. We were surprised that we A. Didn’t have to wait to be seated, on a Friday night might I add, and B. Were seated in own little private nook separate from the other tables. Score. My husband and I sat down and waited for everyone to arrive. Three people appeared in our nook and introduced themselves. Two were servers, one being our waiter Blake, and one looked like a manager. Our other guests arrived which is when things took a turn. Normal OG protocol is you order the entrée Soup or salad comes out with a couple baskets of breadsticks… Yada… Yada… You eat until you explode. We ordered. Before our entrée one salad bowl appeared for our entire table. The Breadsticks didn’t come until way later. Entrees seemed to take awhile as well. When it came time for payment there was a discrepancy on one of the tickets which got fixed but seemed to take an eternity. Why I still give this visit four stars is that as we were all getting ready to leave another manager appeared and asked how everything was. Reading between the lines you could tell something wasn’t right tonight and they were really really trying. Nobody really wanted to complain. The fact that both managers visited us before and after dining was exceptional. So while we really come for the food, I was not turned off to St. Charles OG, despite the«bad» service.

The service was great. My server I believe beth was outstanding. I never had to ask for a thing and the recommendations were on point from the app to the dessert. I would recommend this olive garden compared to others. Will return soon!

Went for a family dinner on July 4, 2014. While I don’t come to Olive Garden on many occasions, the experience was a very good one. I cannot attest to ALL of their food, but what I had was fantastic. — Soup — very good. — Bread — pretty good. — Calamari — outstanding! — Service — very good! Server named ‘Alexis’ was very attentive, brought refills of soup and drinks, and was very accommodating and nice. VERY cute, too. Overall: Very good! Would I be back — yes probably. Would recommend!

It’s a chain restaurant… I know. It’s not authentic Italian eats… I know. This is where 300lb+ people like to eat… I know. And I don’t care. The OG is the home of peach bellini iced tea(with slices of real, yet canned, peaches floating about!), zuppa toscana(creamy sausage, kale, and potato soup-you must make this at home… thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2011/10/sausage-potato-and-kale-soup/), the never ending pasta bowl, and complimentary Andes chocolate mints. I like to slum it sometimes and this is one of my guilty pleasures. Large portions. Large bellies. Do NOT look up the calories of what you just consumed. You’ll hate yourself. That is, until you have a craving for their stuffed chicken marsala again. This particular location is a mere 5 minute drive from my house so it’s my home OG. Service is typically quick, not necessarily friendly at times. On my last visit, I showed up with my sister and her two kids, both under the age of 4. Arjun is an awesome server. Brought me brand new glass of peach iced tea with peaches for refills(usually they just refill you glasses without additional peaches). I’m easily pleased. He came by often and was very friendly towards the kids.
