I’ve been to this location twice and mid rivers once, all to see the same stylist. I picked this salon due to their use of Aveda color which was very important to me. When I called to make my first appointment, I told the receptionist what I was looking for in a stylist, and she nailed it. I hadn’t gotten my hair colored in over a year bc I couldn’t find anyone I trusted to do the job. Now I have actually felt confident enough with my stylist to try a brand new shade — I went blonde from brunette and I think she has done an amazing job. I’m not not exaggerating — I get at least two compliments a day at work on my hair. The only reasons I don’t give 4 stars: they don’t serve alcohol or wine, which is something I’ve always loved about other salons. My other big issue is there are VERY bright lights over the wash bowls, so when you are getting your hair rinsed or washed the lights are so bright it gives me a headache. Change this, please!!! Otherwise, try this salon. It seems to be the most«Clayton» experience you can get in St. Charles.

It’s sad because the salon on Clay Street is very nice and they do a good job. I’ve been there several times over the past 5 years. Unfortunately, the last time I booked an appointment, they were full and the young man on the phone suggested I go to the salon on Mid Rivers Mall Dr. I will never go back to either now. They were rude, inconsiderate and way too busy to make me feel like they cared about my business. The person who did my toes talked about herself and complained about her job the whole time.(And she was wearing this way to revealing top which was very awkward for me considering my vantage point.) She left me alone in the room while she took care of other people for 20 minutes and then told me she didn’t have time to finish my pedicure, like I was the one who was taking up all her time… she barely saw me. Worst of all, she left the toilet paper(yes, she used toilet paper instead of toe separators) in my feet and just went to her next appointment. I didn’t know if I was done or what. Like I said, not going back… ever. Unless the staff at Clay Street takes over Mid Rivers Mall Dr. and they implement a dress code.

Went there for my first eyebrow tint and waxing. The staff was extremely nice and the salon was beautiful. THETINTDIDNOTLASTEVEN A WEEK. Spent $ 50 for a about 3 days of tint/color. When I called them about my dissatisfaction, she said she would just cancel my next appointment. I was really impressed with the spa originally, but now I have a different view all together.

This is one of my St. Louis favorites. I come here almost every time we are back in town. I’d name a specific stylist, masseuse or nail tech but they’re all fabulous. One of my favorite things about this place is the homey feel, especially the cozy fire place! The staff is friendly and always helpful. An added plus is that you are supporting a local family business every time you come in.

Salon De Christie is a great spa! I always enjoy a deep tissue massage. Some of the things that separate Salon De Christie from all the rest include a private locker room and a relaxing fireplace lounge. I was able to arrive early, do any check in paperwork, then undress in the locker room and put on a robe and slippers even before my massage appointment. Once my masseuse was ready, we talked about how I like my massage, and quickly got started. At other spas, the masseuse would then leave the room for several minutes while I undress and get on the table. I like to get as much massage time as I can get and the private locker room helps. After my massage, I was able to relax by a fireplace in my robe in the lounge and drink all the water I wanted. I didn’t have to get dressed in the massage room and then head directly up to the front desk to check out. With these two«difference makers», I have to also give kudos to the great staff at Salon De Christie, they are very friendly and the masseuses give a great massage. I highly recommend Salon De Christie for anyone getting a massage.

My daughter and I go here a few times a year when we can afford to treat ourselves to a massage. We always have a good experience. All the massage therapists we have tried are kind, respectful, and talented. I like the location on West Clay better than the MidRivers location. It seems to have more ambiance. :-) I think the prices are average for the industry. It is less expensive than Stonewater at Frontenac.

AWESOME massage ever!!! Gabrielle needs to register her hands with Lords of London. She treated me like I was fine china and did everything I asked perfectly. I will definitely be back to see her. This was my first visit to this salon and loved how clean and relaxing the atmosphere was in all areas.

Easily the best salon I’ve ever been too. we came with a group of four for pedicures and I got my nails done. the pedicures were amazing and they offer essential oils during the process. the staff was wonderful. my sculpted acrylic nails were beautiful. good selection of products for purchase. relaxing, wonderful experience.

My wife and I go to a Spa every year at least once. I would like to go more but, story of every ones life is that we are way to busy and that is why we need a spa day. I usually get a deep tissue massage for an hour and she gets girlie stuff done that I really cannot remember. So we usually go somewhere else that we love but they were booked up, so we went here because they had an opening. I think I know why they had an opening. I didn’t have a complaint about the massage therapist but the facility lacks allot. I felt like I was in a closet(already starting out creepy) and it sounded like I was on a boat, I guess the wind was picking up and the whole room was creaking and moaning. I though I was supposed to do that. I really could not knock out and totally relax because of the noise and I definitely could hear people walking around above me. I did like the fireplace but I think it was to over done. I felt like I was in some overly done Christmas card and wanted out rather than relax. All in all I enjoyed the massage just less thoroughly than I have at the other place.

Not super happy about how my experience here was. I arrived early to decompress and requested that since they have a spa waiting area. The girl sat me in the hair area to do my paperwork and I had to ask to go back to the spa area early. Weird changing area with old robes and old socks? I kept my own on thanks. Asked for a heated pillow and a cup of tea, the girl told me they only had this«gross aveda tea», um. bring it anyway? Unprofessional attitude from the massage therapist who didn’t listen to my requests of areas to be worked. The room was very small and cramped and you could hear people above you talking and walking. Liked the lounging area with fireplace but thats about it.

I have never been let down! Samantha is great with facials/waxing ect. Emily is great with hair! They are both very professional and the atmosphere is relaxing. Ever since I started going here, I have not been to another salon. I have been going here for 2 years. :-)

I visited this salon/spa in 2009 while I was in town visiting for a baby shower. This was my first experience, and will most likely be my last. I received a one hour massage and a mani/pedi. The massage therapist seemed more like a massage student. She did not have good technique and basically poured way too much oil on so there was no deep pressure in stressed areas on my back. I had even asked her to not use very much oil as I do not like it. Afterwards I had a manicure and pedicure, and while the service was acceptable, the attitude of the employee was not. She was not professional, she spent most of the 90 minutes chatting away with another employee and the topic of their discussion was inappropriate for the workplace. She went on and on about a party she was at the weekend before and all of the drinking and drunkedness present. I had never met this woman and was a new client and she went on and on about how drunk she was and didn’t try to make polite conversation with me as we went along. I wrote a letter to the manager/owner describing my visit and did not receive any kind of apology from him/her. Let’s just say, I won’t be going back!
