Erma’s Custard

No more driving to Shelby Twp for this guy, Erma’s in the SCS! They close for the season after Oct. 31^st and I’ll be having a pumpkin spice custard every day until then, :). Great service, great location!

«OK, but no depth of flavor», is my feeling about the variety of flavored custards offered each week. Each one just tastes bland… yellow cake, tastes like vanilla. So does the banana. On and on… even the deep dark chocolate is a bland form of Hershey’s syrup. I know I’m criticizing a legend in these parts, but I’d really like to know why they don’t have more flavor.

This place is amazing as always. Every location is amazing. I stopped in today to enjoy a tasty parfait and BOOM Pineberry Parfait happened. Magical. This place has all the treats that you might want to have and even some you would have to try. The Fish Bowl with fish in it. whatever your craving is stop here and enjoy. I cant want to have another chance to go back and try something new.

So many choices and flavors. Was extremely happy to know that they opened a location in St. Clair Shores. They purchased the old dairy boy stand. Perfect spot.

First time here today and I just got a small twist cone but thought it was absolutely delicious!!!
I can definitely notice a difference in texture and taste then other custards I’ve tried (airy soft texture and sweet taste that is wonderful, not bland at all!) and they take credit cards unlike another home made ice cream place down the road, that I do also enjoy but can be such an inconvenience! I will definitely be back, would recommend this place to anyone! Give them a try, I think you will be very satisfied!
P/​s my mom is ecstatic Erma’s opened up down the road from me… I remember her telling me about making trips to the original location 40+ years ago when she was young with her friends but hasn’t been to in a long time since it’s just to far of a drive for her now. can’t wait to bring her here! 8-)

Huge selection, friendly staff and takes credit cards. It is a little on the pricey side, but I don’t mind paying more for variety. If you just like plain vanilla, you’re probably better off somewhere else.

I was glad to see an ERma’s opened near our house, however the «custard» tastes like regular soft serve but charges for something it is not. Medium cones are like small. 3 medium cones $ 10.00. I suggest to go to Mcdonalds for this taste at a Much cheaper cost. Staff behind the windows act very strange as well. Weird place and horrible custard YUK
