We have eaten here many times and is by far our favorite restaurant. The food is top notch and everything they serve is at least a little better than everywhere else. Always worth the trip.

Vito’s kitchen people… Wow! Tonight was a disappointment. Went out to celebrate at a restaurant close to boyfriends work to surprise him that my blood pressure was up and the cooks weren’t cooking at 930p when they close at 10p. This was one of my favorites places but tonight you lost business. Sorry waitress you didn’t receive a TIP. You can thank your kitchen guys! Went next door after that to the sushi restaurant and they were happy to cook up a $ 50 food order in 15 minutes before they closed. Cheers to a new year at our new place to celebrate at. Sushi

Always a great place to go eat, love love love the pizza. Wild mushroom is my favorite. Living in NJ and coming back to the area to visit family, this is THEBEST pizza in Pa. In my opinion. Keep up the great work and don’t change

The pizza is excellent as well as the service. I’ve tried other dishes and all have been great. Also, the desserts are to die for!

Perhaps one of the nicer dining options in the area. Definitely very popular and packed week in and week out. The outside dining with patio furniture, lounge chairs, a fire pit and potted furniture are a nice touch in seasonable weather. The pizzas range from margherita which is consistent, the new yorker to gourmet fancier pies. It is different from that usual skook pie but it is very good. Sometimes, the cheese varies… could be fresh mozzarella or just processed. Service is above average compared to most establishments and is usually very friendly. I would love to see them introduce a sunday brunch option. The conscious diner situation: There’s ways to work around it if you are a vegetarian and even vegan! Could use a gluten free offering though.

Was staying at nearby hotel and in search of a nice dinner and I was not disappointed. Enjoyed s delicious meal and friendly service al fresco. Homemade bread was served with outstanding dipping oil. I ate way more than usual but it was just too good to pass up. Stuffed mushrooms were yummy… Garden salad was full of fresh vegs and house sweet and sour dressing was tasty. Margherita pizza topped off an outstanding and unexpected meal. Also should add that I was feeling a wee bit chilly on the patio and asked if they could fire up the heaters. Staff went out of their way to get the engine lit and accommodate me. Highly recommend this establishment and look forward to visiting again next time I’m in town.

Unexpectedly pleasurable dining experience… we pass Vito’s in the Summer when we make a few treks to Knobel’s with the kids and we have always wondered if it was good, parking lot is crowded, people milling about… or is it just busy because there are almost no options locally. We were hungry this time around so we decided to stop… it exceeded our expectations. The wings were large and crispy, the sauce(bang ban) was fantastic, the Vito’s calamari was excellent, just enough sweet and sour chili sauce and chopped peppers to make each bite perfect. The house salad dressing, sweet & sour parsley was amazeballs… seriously, the house salad is greens, mozzarella, olives, walnuts and the dressing was a perfect match, like eating summertime, oh and it is served with these house coal fire rolls and sauce to dip, heavenly. We ordered a pizza, perfect, absolutely perfect… we ordered the crab ravioli, again, perfect… one of my son’s got a burger and claimed it was among the best he has had. Basically, this place is the bomb, we’ll stop every time!

Get off of interstate 81 in Frackville. Head towards Pottsville on 61 south. About 5 miles(+/-) you’ll be there. Same shopping center as Home Depot and Walmart next to DD. It’s a shame I can’t give this place a 10. My wife had a salad and I had the Vito’s Steak Sandwich with mushroom, onion and a dollop of sauce on a perfect Italian baguette. My wife’s salad came with a garlic knot and sun-dried tomato infused olive oil which I enjoyed with a ice cold Yuengling light on draft… very special. You can fill up down the street at the Mobil station $ 2.579. Don’t get suckered by the ESSO… same price for«cash» sales.

Stopped in and had a Yuengling(how could I not so close to Pottsville?) and ordered some takeout. My waitress was very friendly and anxious to offer suggestions. The food(2 pizzas and 2 salads) was ready before I even finished my beer. The salads were fresh and the homemade dressings(balsamic vinegrette and house sweet and sour parsley) were great, as were the fresh garlic bread rolls. We really liked the pizza. Quality ingredients, fresh/adequate toppings, delicious crust. They had an ok selection of draught beers(yuengling, the usual lights, yuengling summer, goose island, a shandy…) Only negative thing was that the bar is really small and was full, so I was seated in a booth to have a beer and order takeout. Prices are reasonable. I’d like to go back and try some appetizers and an entrée. I’ll definitely be stopping again for takeout next time I’m working in pottsville.

The white arugula pizza, caprese salad, and balsamic dressing are outstanding! Owner is very personable and aims to please!

What a gem. Found this restaurant while traveling. We wanted something other than fast food. I have to say we were pleasantly surprised! Hubby and I ate at the bar. We always get good scoop from the locals at the bar. The food was fantastic! I opted for several of the appetizers for my dinner since there were so many really good choices and my husband was really craving ravioli. They had a crab ravioli that was, awe… So yummy. Came with a salad(no big deal… but) and it was recommended to try the house dressing. OMG. Parsley sweet and sour. I have never had anything so tasty. We also had the asparagus wrapped in prosciutto with Gouda and a balsamic reduction sauce which was again fantastic. The bartender suggested a drink based on what I liked and again everything was so good that we decided on our way home we will stop again and try some of the other items on the menu because right now there is no more room in my stomach. LOL. Definitely worth getting off of I-81 and finding this place.

I had to spend the night in Pottsville and needed a place to eat. I didn’t have money for Greystone, so I tried Vito’s. I was impressed at the diversity of their menu, but this is a pizza place so I got the pizza. It was toasted as expected, flavorful and light(although greasy– but I’m a napkin sopper; don’t hate). I ate the whole thing myself, and I’ll be back to try the non-pizza offerings. The staff was a plus as well– attentive and polite, and the dining room is large and well maintained.

We returned to Vito’s recently and again on our way to HS basketball playoffs in Pottsville and as before were pleased. We stop in mid-afternoon so our experience uis not at a busy time… but we were also not alone. The pizza, beer, and appetizers were all very good. We did ‘miss’ the Lager Light draft that they’d had before… my guess is it didn’t sell as well as some other lights and the regular Lager(which is of course good… especially in the Pottsville area) and they have limited taps. Nevertheless in Pottsville on way to a game, we looked forward to Lager Light on tap :-) They did have a couple other craft beers that were good too. LOVE the pizzas… thin crust, blackened, cheesy, nicely done and unusual for the NEPA area.(NY ‘experts’ may disagree …) In summary, a large, clean, family friendly, with a nice little bar and TVs too. Convenient to local highway with lots of parking and easy access. Service has always been good. It’s still a nice place to stop when in the area. We always look forward to our visits.

This restaurant is a fine option for pizza. The menu is extensive, so you have a lot of options for your type of pizza-and you can direct the amount of sauce/cheese on the pizza. One pizza should satisfy two people, any more people and you should probably get another one. It’s coal fired pizza, so expect it to be blackened, particularly on the bottom. They have other options on the menu-but I’ve only had the pizza. They also sell desserts, which look tasty as you enter-where they have a case of the cakes and pies they have available. The place sells alcohol, and often has a seasonal Yuengling on tap-which is great. The service here is friendly and attentive. There is not normally a host waiting at the front, but someone comes by shortly after you arrive. The location is setup nicely, with a bar just past a portion of the dining room. It is clean.

Great stop after visiting the Yuengling Brewery in December 2013. One word of caution is that the place is BUSY and the hostess has not a clue how to run a waiting list. We ended up sitting at the tiny bar are so we did not have to wait for 45 minutes. We had the Fresca Salad — wonderfully fresh with the peppery crunch of arugula, sweet tomatoes, salty parmesan and lemon/olive oil finish. The Margherita Pizza was good. It had burnt edges from the coal-fire which is great but the«under crust» was a little soggy. Certainly a family type location with big portions for all dishes.

I had the chicken supreme pasta. It came with a Caesar salad and some bread. I didn’t eat the bread but the Caesar salad was very good. While waiting for my food I ordered a a leinenkugels vanilla porter. Very tasty but doesn’t pair with the food I ordered at all. I drank it down and ordered a Yards IPA. It went much better with the cream sauce in the pasta. The chicken supreme pasta I ordered was very good. The portion was large so I was only able to eat half of it. The bar tender was very nice and quick even though there were several customers at the bar and she also had a few tables. A good place to eat.

Simply the best Italian food in a sea of so so pizzeria. Great food, excellent service, did I mention great selection of great food? We drive an hour to get here and cannot decide which delicious item to choose. Do not overlook this place. Mussels, hot pork sandwich, pasta, veal. OMG you gotta try this place then set it as your regular place.

I had another chance to be in the area recently and so talked my coworkers into eating dinner at Vito’s. This time we ordered four 12″ pizzas for the five of us. The traditional margherita pizza was just as good as last time. It was a bit black on the bottom in places, which didn’t bother us but might be offputting to anyone accustomed to franchise pizza. If you are bothered by the darkened crust, don’t let it stop you. This is good pizza and the kind that many folks really miss when they can’t find it in their areas. The other pizzas — barbecued chicken, pepperoni, and mushrooms/onions — were also good, although the plain pizza was the star. This is definitely a find because you don’t expect such great thin pizza outside of New Haven or New York. I hope the good people of Frackville, Pottsville, and the area support this restaurant so that it is still going strong on my next trip, whenever that may be.

Yet another restaurant that I can frequent when I visit my hometown! The food is a little classier than the stuff that the Skook palate is used to, but I’m down with it. The last time I was here, I got the white grape sangria(sweeter than I would like, but still good) and the Anthracite salad with grilled salmon. It was really tasty. The bread that is served with the salads is baked in their coal-fired oven and is served with a sun-dried tomato oil. Yum!

This place is excellent. The service is always attentive and I love the food. The menu has a wide variety — so whether you want a huge pizza, are there to share a few apps at the bar or love a good chicken salad, you can find it here. I recommend the bread(must have), walnut chicken salad or the paninis for lunch. They also have a huge selection of desserts! Definitely a favorite in the area.
