We stopped here after dinner for dessert. The quality and quantity is good. However the lack of ability to use card payment makes coming here more difficult since we dont usually carry cash.

I went to this place while driving around St George downtown area. The lady owner was really nice as she greeted with a warm welcome. I had the vanilla custard with cookie mixture. The custard was really soft and the sweetness was just perfect. A must try place if u r in George Town Utah.

Most amazing ice cream I’ve ever had. It’s actually frozen custard, who means it has egg in it. Makes it creamier and softer. I should have gotten the larger size, but settled for the flavors they had. Very nice staff, friendly and reasonably priced.

I’ve had frozen custard all over the country, this was by far the most delicious I’ve ever had anywhere. I love how simple they keep everything and how clean and bright it is inside. I recommend this place to all of my clients and they all think it’s absolutely fabulous, and I have to agree. There is no whirls in town that I would rather have frozen custard.

It’s 2015, I don’t even sell anything and I accept credit cards on my phone. Other than that this place is great.

Not too shabby. I stopped in night for a late night treat and it was packed. I ordered the chocolate custard and wasn’t disappointed.

Excellent«concrete»! We stopped in as we headed across the desert and it was a nice way to stay cool. The custard was delicious. We each got a different flavor and I can honestly say that they were all fantastic! The kid working the counter was a little lacking in people skills — kind of a dead pan high school student kind of thing — and I docked the place one star for only accepting cash. It’s the 21st century… get with the digital times… I rarely carry cash, but because I was traveling I happened to have a few bucks on me to cover the tab. Whew! That could have been embarrassing! Kudos, however, to great frozen custard! I’m a fan!

Only reason I’m giving it 2 stars was because it was delicious. We walked in and there was a customer in front of us. The cashier was very happy, smiling, laughing. But right when we walked up her smile literally disappeared when she saw my friend and I wearing tank tops(it was August and she very obviously looked us up and down) she seemed very bothered when we asked about their flavors. We got our custard and sat down. The next person to be helped out was welcomed with a huge smile and she was very nice to them. Probably won’t be back.

Good ice cream and custard… But for my husband and I, we are upset that they only take CASH. We almost never have cash on us. This is something that would cause is not to return.

One of the most unique places I have ever been. My parents and I went here after dinner and we found the bright pink neon writing above the venue totally enchanting. Although we had eaten lunch at a fast food chain and bought kid sized soft serve there, we had to try this frozen custard as a late night treat. Two desserts in one day usually doesn’t go well, but this did. The custard was hands down insanely better than any ice cream! The environment was great, as well. Lots of families eating custard, teens with pints. They serve the custard via scoops so I ordered a small vanilla in a cup. Perfect amount and utterly glorious! Go here!

I was greeted by a «cash or checks only» sign upon entering. Due to the advent of the credit card, I don’t carry cash unless I’m traveling to Mexico. The smiling teenager at the counter informed me there was an ATM around the corner. I faced a moment of truth. Did my desire for what appeared to be creamy goodness outweigh my dislike of third world payment methods? I glanced at my phone and reminded myself of the year«2015» it confirmed. I took a deep breath and walked out. I walked down the road and ate shave ice, paid for with a visa. I would wager that Mr. Nielsen is losing more revenue than the 2% fee the credit card companies charge.

We found this place to have the best custard ice cream with the worst customer service. Id have given a five star rating, as the custard kept us coming back, and the problem is Not the employees fault, but management. Maybe management will see this review and do something. My husband is a quality control manager and in the hour plus wait notice Each serving had to be weighed. Might be a good idea to order cups with custard fill to lines to avoid a time consuming problem. In our wait time we noticed many potential customers leave after seeing the wait and ask for money back after waiting thirty minutes. We waited over an hour for two small sundaes and a concrete Oreo. Placing orders was quick, but the wait was horrendous. Nobody cleaned tables filthy bathrooms. Was a busy social place amongst locals. Everyone was friendly. To save wait time I suggest purchasing pre packaged servings of basic flavors to take home. Delicious custard though…

I love this place. My friends and I stop here every time we come visit St. George or even drive through. The sandwiches are delicious and the cement is great. You can see them make it too which is cool. !!!Whenever we’ve gone there they only accept cash or check… But the check has to be an in state check. I know lots of people have trouble with this. But it’s worth it.

Custard is really good. Creamy & tasty, lots of flavors. Price for concretes(thick shakes) is a little steep($ 5.25) and they should offer more sizes as no one in our party was able to finish more than half. Does not take credit cards and no atm on site.

Custard was great! Not as good as Luv-It’s but a close second. My only complaint is the price, for just me and my wife it came out to over $ 12.

So many people say its worth the stop in St George and I would agree. They have concrete ice cream that is unique in its production, but are you going to get a much better and bigger shake at Iceberg? Yes. Bring cash. They don’t take credit cards and the employees look at you like a credit card is a ridiculous way to pay for something.

I’d give it five stars if the place accepted credit/ATM cards. Thank god I had a bit of cash on me otherwise I would have had to leave. Other than that it was amazing! The bumbleberry concrete is the best! I had a coconut concrete with chocolate brownie coconut and kept finding myself stealing some of the bumbleberry. The portions are big almost shareable between two people. If I didn’t live in CA I’d be here more often :)

Let’s face facts, I get that they’re trying to be all old-timey, and believe me, it’s cute. I like the walk-up window. I like the non-frivolous, get back to that good old days interior. I even liked the outfits the teenage staff was all wearing and their attitudes were reflected in that they were all cute and chipper. However, again, facts are facts, and the fact is it is 2013, not 1953. Accept debit and credit cards. Seriously. They force patrons to walk down the road to a bank that has an ATM to get cash out. Luckily for me, I have USAA and USAA allows me to take money out of other ATMs and reimburses me IF the machine charges me for using it. So, my husband and I had to do the walk to the bank to get actual cash. Other than that the store itself could use a little fix me up as well, and the bathroom too. It just looks old. And not in the«Ooo, cute old timey» look. No. Just, kind of old in general. The one thing I can’t complain about is the actual custard, which was creamy and well blended. My husband and I got the same thing concrete style with cookie dough. I’ve also had custard from Luv-It in Las Vegas and I think I like Luv-It better, mostly because they just have a lot more options than Nielsen’s. None the less it is kind of an iconic place that you should consider stopping at if you’re in St. George. Just don’t forget to birng cash!

Frozen Custard is like super rich ice cream, and I felt like it melted really fast contrary to what many other reviewers described. What you need to know is: 1) Nielsen’s is Cash Only 2) The menu is complicated but there are two different products: Concrete Milk Shake(pretty large!) or Cone(3 flavors daily) 3) There are a ton of mix-ins, they are added to a vanilla concrete base. I got the oreo and the brownie, and the oreo was way better because the brownies are low quality pre-packaged types(like the kind at froyo places). The ice cream cones seem to have a different consistency than the concrete. If this is your first time and you can share two items, I would recommend getting two different items — a concrete milkshake and a cone. Enjoy! Tip: They have a Nielsen’s in Las Vegas.
