PDQ Jacksonville: Julington Creek

Great customer service, drive thru is pretty fast. Sauces and fries are great, not to mention they make pretty good milkshakes… Food and service are consistently good. We went close to closing one night and they were very gracious and friendly about letting us in without making us feel bad. PDQ is a keeper for a simple meal!

I dont get what the hype is about this place. 2^nd time I try them. First time we got 2 party planners and everyone agreed their chicken has No Taste. They have wonderful sauces,
I guess thats why. 2^nd time yesterday thought I get the 3 grilled tenders. Same thing
no taste at all. And the 3 wings were so little, it was pathetic. Last time I come here.

The food is good. clean. fast
It was rather loud while I was there. Almost nothing to absorb sound in the dining room, makes it hard to have conversation. Kitchen is open style, which allows one to watch food being prepared. Staff was friendly and busy, either preparing food or cleaning.

We wanted to try something we haven’t tried and this place was awesome! I ordered a salad and it was probably the freshest salad I’ve ever had. And the honey mustard sauce was amazing. I got crispy chicken, so good! My husband ordered a buffalo sandwich and it was good. It was kind of small but was very fresh. He liked the fries as well just wished they were cut thicker. Will definitely be going back here! Was also a very very clean restaurant!

For a fast food place, yes this place is 5 stars. This place is so fresh so awesome. I have not had anything bad. The crispy chicken sandwich is my favorite. Love the chipotle bbq sauce.

I have been contacted from the manager of the location asking to make things right for me but also for everyone else from now on. So I am impressed with the leadership and hope problem is corrected I since returned and i have been sticking with the great tasting and affordable salads. So I guess I caught them on a bad day and everything seems to be back on track.

Well I felt that the price was WAY too high for the amount or quality of food. Chik fil A is better and offers more. While the experience was great because of the kind gentleman (chef?) who checked on us twice it wasn’t enough to warrant a second try. $ 9 for a drink, thin fries and 4 chicken strips. Eh? Customer service and cleanliness is A+, value is C–

I went back to PDQ after the regional direction, i believe, sent me a couple of free vouchers to try some more food! He has also invited me to take a tour of the facilitiies but I never know when I’m going to be there to take him up on that offer, but we’ll see! I went back and tried the chicken fingers and they were great and filling. I can’t believe the amount of food I got for my combo especially for the price! I believe I’ll make the trip more often. :)
Just a tip, you can’t go wrong with the honey mustard!

This is a nice place to go to get some slightly upgraded fast food from the standard McDonalds and Burger Kings of the world. The chicken is hot and freshly cooked, the fries are shoestrings (my favorite) and well seasoned. The staff are so polite and a pleasure to work with as well.
Negatives: It’s a bit pricy in all honesty. Spending $ 7-​$ 8 for a few tenders, fries and a drink is a bit on the excessive side if you ask me. The other issue I have are portions, it’s simply too much food. The amount of fries you are served is simply overkill. When me and my wife go we can easily share a meal and be fine. I appreciate them not wanting to skimp, but I have to throw away half of my food at my lunch break.

First time trying this newish restaurant in Julington Creek. I ordered two grilled chicken meals. This was two sandwiches, drinks and fries. The total was over $ 15. The sandwich was pretty good, not too sloppy,
The bread was good. The fries were above average, unique in a good way. The drink size was average. I just did not find this place to be anything special. My two meals certain weren’t worth what I paid for them. My advice? Stick to Chil Fil A. They’ve got chicken down at a good price.

Try the apples and toffee. For fast food, they do a great job.

PDQ… A company really striving to live up to there name. My business partner and I came in for lunch, he ordered a turkey sandwich which had a fishy taste to it and didn’t recieve much help as far as getting it replaced with another item. He left a small complaint and we left to go back to work. By the next morning he was contacted by management offering to make it right and they showed there sincerity for our unsatisfactory experience. We work in the service industry ourselves and know it’s not easy to please everyone but just the fact they go out of there way to see how people are reacting to their company speaks volumes. Here’s a big thumbs up and keep the A+ service going! You’ll have many loyal customers doing so, I’ll be supporting you guys from now on. Btw I love the chicken tenders and that honey mustard sauce is just amazing. Thanks for the great experience and I wish there were more companies that care as much as you.

Ate here yesterday. The food was fresh and delicious, as always. We all had the tenders with fries, and coleslaw. The coleslaw at PDQ is tasty because they don’t use too much mayo like most recipes do, and they add in blueberries. It’s very refreshing. This location is new and it still has its new cleanliness to it.

Liked this place at first it was great ate there way too often then one day it started… I heard that nasty snap and got that ugly taste. I hadn’t noticed at least the first few times anything bad but now I quit going because every piece of chicken has that nasty tendon in it, that snap is cause it’s grossly thick, in most cases it cooks out to slime but here now it beckons me reminds me how we as Americans have wholeheartedly bought into this idea that «chicken tenderloin,» is a good thing. IT’S NOT PEOPLE, it’s the part of the chicken they cut off between the breasts it scraps there is no regulation for chicken as there is for beef so they sold us all on it being a good thing but every single piece has that nasty tendon yuck just yuck.

Currently my favorite of fast food restaurants. Very happy they opened something in the Julington Creek area.
I am giving the food 5 stars because I am comparing it to other fast food restaurants, such as McDonald’s, Burger King and Wendy’s which all pretty much suck on my opinion. I get the Crispy Turkey sandwich which always comes out hot, juicy and seasoned well. This comes with pickles, lettuce, tomato and a ‘sweet heat sauce’. I have tried the sweet heat sauce and I don’t like it so I substitute Ranch on the sandwich or on the side. I get fries with the order which I dip in ketchup and they provide Malt Vinegar in the condiments section! Yay. The only other fast food/​food fast place I have seen do this is M Shack. The fries are different then most fast food they are sliced thin and perhaps flash fried? I’ve also tried the crispy chicken tenders/​strips and crispy chicken sandwich which are both good.
I always leave filling full. I feel they provide plenty of food and the prices are comparable to Chik Fil A.
They have tables and booths inside and covered outdoor seating. This place is pretty spacious and the food comes out fast! The turnover rate is quick so we never have to search for a seat even though the parking lot may be full.
The bathrooms are very clean and smell of lavender and cream. They have a place to wash your hands inside the bathroom as well as right outside the bathroom across from the drink machines.
They also have corn hole, the game where you throw sacks (with beans inside) into a wooden board with a hole in the middle. My friends love this game so we sometimes play when we leave.

Chicken sandwich was awsome. Salad could have had more chicken and the chicken need to be smaller pieces.

I think that Tim Tebow would help out ever failing Jags. Tim really needs to help out the store. I have eaten at the store close to the beach a couple of times. They did it a lot better then this store did. The place is super sweet I love the interior and it is done well. I like the soda machine with a zillion flavors. The service is really good. That’s where everything down hill fast. First I got my drink cup and before I could fill it they were calling my name for my order. Ok they are quick and the place wasn’t even a quarter of the way filled. My chicken tenders were warm at best which told me they cooked a lot. Just they were cooked way before I ordered them. Swing and a miss. Then the tenders were as bland as well just bland. The tenders had some colored specks in them but they didn’t come with flavoring that normally one would put into those specks. I also got the blueberry slaw. Thinking that it was a different combination what the heck. I’m a different kind of guy. But, this was too different for me. First the slaw was also bland and dry. I mean I need a drink dry. In all I don’t think I will be back unless Tim is helping out in the kitchen.

We love Tim Tebow and were excited to support PDQ. We were impressed with the open clean atmosphere. The place was packed as it was brand new. The chicken tenders are really tender, but just a little bland. I would love to see a little more flavor in them. The French fries are dirty fries which I love, but these are so soggy and greasy.
When you buy the chicken tender dinner, you have to choose French fries or cole slaw. For the price, you should get both. Even just a small helping of the blueberry cole slaw would be great. If you want the bigger helping, you could pay extra.
We went for the second time. No big crowd, same tenders, same soggy French fries. Still way too many employees. The ones working the dining room got on our nerves. Three times coming by our table to see if we needed anything.
Overall, I think they need to get a little more creative with the spices, bump up the menu a bit, tone down the employees a bit, add a sample of cole slaw with the tenders dinners and rethink those fries.
We still love you Tim and are always hoping for the best in all you do.

Enjoyed this new location in Mandarin. I grabbed the Grilled Chicken sandwich and fries to go. The sandwich had great flavor but the fries weren’t quite crispy enough for me.
Overall good experience, fast and friendly service. They have healthy options also. Maybe some day I’ll be into that.
I recommend PDQ if you’re in the area.

This place is great! I came through the drive thru and I had never been here before but the girls in the drive through were really helpful and super sweet. My food was ready really fast and they made sure I got the sauces I asked for. I will 100% come back. The food seemed really fresh too. Glad they built this in JCP!
