They are so helpful. I had no idea what to buy for a four-year-old boy but they did! The gifts were a huge hit and the parents were pleased. I love the wrapping paper, too. This is always my go-to place for kid gifts.

Very disappointed in the service. They decided to change their policy on the discount card. The reason I shop here because of their discounts on their products with the discount card. The products are overpriced and ok quality– but the discount usually brought it down to ok value. I just found out that 20% of your entire purchase doesn’t mean that which it did last year. It’s only off of regular price items, not on sale items. Probably the last time I’ll visit.

I was initially smitten with Creative Kid stuff when they opened roughly 20 years ago in St. Paul. It filled a large void in the market for down to earth and learning oriented toys for kids. I shop local when I can and appreciate small businesses. However, I have to say since toy shopping there a number of times in the last 5 years that they are asleep at the wheel and not doing a good enough job in the buying or customer service department. At least 2 of my last 5 purchases have turned out to be overpriced garbage of notable low quality as of they never tested the product. Check the amazon reviews of some of their new recommended products and you will see how poorly they are reviewed. I am glad there at least a handful better options for this type of toy purchase in town. I also have to say the management of this store are unpleasant and have been oddly very defensive about returns for the one time I purchased very poor quality toy and wanted to return it. I also can’t stand there insistence on branding there gift wrapping in their dated wrapping paper when you use their gift wrapping service for a price.

I’m going to have to drop a star from my earlier review. Still a pretty decent place, and I still find the prices to be a tad high, but they now also sell way more furniture stuff, and have redesigned and now sell more cribs, strollers and cutsie wall adornments than before, and I don’t find that to be an improvement. Also, the last time I was in there was a noticeable increase in the plastic toys, which was a bummer. Also, the staff were not at all chipper. I know it is the holidays, but man, the staff’s eyes read panic, dread, drowsy or some combination of the three. I had gone in a couple of months ago for a birthday and had a not awesome visit service experience too. So, three stars for now, but I’ll be back.

My kids are all grown up but guess what, I still enjoy coming into this store. If you need a gift for a kid I highly recommend stopping in here… they have all sorts of things in various price ranges and I am sure you will find something. They gift wrap for you and it is the cutest paper, bags, ribbon===== very colorful. They have all the toys you remember playing with as a child and all the newest educational offerings…

Creative Kidstuff is, hands-down, the best toy store! They have a wide array of high-quality, unique toys from infants thru elementary school — at, and this is important, numerous price points! The store has a great selection of art supplies for kids as well as a fantastic science section(I think my husband was bummed that I wouldn’t let him buy the mad scientist kit — he claimed it was for our nephew, but I’m pretty sure he wanted it for himself!). The staff are friendly, helpful, and truly understand kids and how they play. So, they are able to offer good recommendations. You get the sense that people working here really love it. Growing up I remember it was always a treat when my mom would bring my sister and me here. I’ve since moved away from the Twin Cities, but now that I have a child of my own, a trip to Creative Kidstuff is on our agenda every time we’re in town.

Are you tired of of the same old toys sold at Target? Well then Creative Kidstuff is for you. When I need that something special toy, I head over here. Staff is very friendly and helpful and they also offer groovy gift wrapping services. Items range from kids art stuff, books, Legos, well, just about everything. Near the counter is one of my favorite spots especially when my kids are with me. Lots of little dinky things for about $ 5 and under. And for the finale… drum roll… the tremendous SALE after Christmas!!! Wowzee. I stopped in to browse and tons of Legos and Lego games that my boys love were so inexpensive!

This is a pretty cool place. Many kids toy stores attempt to do what this store accomplishes but fail. They have cool, original, nonmass market toys at an ok price. If you have kids or a niece or nephew to buy for it is worth the stop. Also if your just a kid at heart, it is a fun place to play.

I work with kids on a daily basis and love to peruse kid’s toy stores to find trinkets of distraction. Excellent store with toys to help kids think via expensive and more frugal options. The staff is always attentive, yet not intrusive. Regardless you still have the option to buy video games for your child, park them in front of the TV, and let them grow roots.

Creative Kidstuff is a thoughtfully organized store with helpful staff members. It is filled with everything I wished for when I was a youngster. It’s always worthwhile for me to shop at this store for toys because I can find things that are useful, durable, and educational(while still being really fun!) without having to step foot in one of those biiiig toy stores. I like bringing my son here because I know I won’t lose him in aisles and aisles of gimmicky toys. It’s hard to say what my favorite thing is here. Puzzles? Games? Books? Art supplies? Science stuff? Dollies? But I can tell you that my son loves the dinosaur temporary tattoos. Something so simple brings so many smiles to his face.
