Dollar Tree

Harried employees, items on the floor, typical Dollar Store atmosphere I suspect. This particular store in a spacious Roseville Mall is a little better organized than some of the other typical of the genre. I found some major brand names such as Dawn Detergent. Beware there are products seemingly made for the dollar store trade whose labels try to deceive as though it is the major product, as in copying Old Spice Body Wash label almost to the exact logo, or just barely legal imitations. The store is full of real label products such as White Rain, which used to be a quality household name, but now seems relegated to the deep discount shelves with watered down product. There are the usual cheap trinkets and plastic household helpers items which I have no idea what they do. I’m sure there must an entire manufacturing niche that does nothing but design products to be sold at the many dollar entities across the country. This store has fast check out and seems to do a swift business. The employees are scurrying in their multi-​tasking duties and one tripped over items left on the floor.

This store is close to my home so I enjoy stopping by several times per month. The prices are good and they carry a wide selection of items. However, the store tends to be very dirty. The carpet is absolutely filthy and needs to be replaced. I mentioned this to an employee and he told me that the store is «corporate» so there is nothing anyone at the store can do. Secondly, some of the cashiers do not greet the customer or say thank you and in fact do not seem interested in the customer. I was at the store recently and the cashier talked non-​stop with another employee throughout my sale and did not say hello or thank you for the business. In the future, I will likely visit other Dollar Stores that offer better customer service.

–Plastic Silverware– great to store in the cubicle for lunches
–Wrapping Paper
–Turkey roasting tins– perfect for making chex mix
— Napkins
— Kleenex– they carry Puffs and they are some of the softest things around.
–Some party decorations for showers, themes parties etc.
Not everything they carry I would buy, but for a few necessities that I can buy here a whole lot cheaper, this is the place. I was so happy to find out that they carried the decent and did I mention soft kleenex. Comes in very handy for cold season.
This one is pretty good sized, clean with plenty of parking.
