Norma is great, she is nice she is kind to her customers and add to that she does great work. This is a true small business that is run by the owner and she respects and values every customer. Take time to patronize her business and bring new life in to clothing that you may not wear because it does not fit right. By the way her English is great, there are no issues with a language barrier as suggested by an other reviewer. Thank you for you efforts, you have a life long customer.

I came here to get my bridesmaid dress hemmed and I only gave Norma and her team one day to get it from dragging on the floor to dance floor ready. She succeeded admirably. Given my negligence, I love when I don’t get a lecture(it took me longer than expected to find the perfect shoe for the dress). Given the speedy turn around, the price I paid was a total bargain and made the celebration of my friend’s wedding ALL the more enjoyable. The only thing to note is the address is(as other reviewers have mentioned) not on Bernard St, but a short jaunt over a few houses with off street parking. Also, they do accept cards!

I just returned from visiting Norma. Norma has been doing alterations for me and my daughters for many years. She has always been WONDERFUL. Today I wanted her expert advice and possibly have her make me something for my daughter’s wedding. She assured me that what I had was lovely and that although she could make adjustments to what I had, she recommended that I do nothing. I can’t tell you how much better I felt because I knew she would tell me the truth. I tried(REALLYHARD) to give her money for her time and advice. She had just saved me a lot of money and time! She would not accept the money. That is just the kind of person she is. Want someone who is gifted, reasonably priced AND who you can trust? Go to Norma!

If you don’t mind the language barrier and poor customer service this is a good place to get clothes altered at a reasonable price. The shop actually moved two houses down from its original location– white house with the main entrance and parking in the back(alley). It’s pretty easy to find. There’s a huge sign upfront on a busy street. Norma did a good job altering the dress I brought; however, I had a hard time communicating with her. She came across a bit rude due to the language barrier. She just had a different way of explaining things. Also, make sure to not hand her a mileage(earning) credit card, she will not accept it– she said she pays extra to get those types of cards processed. Also, you will have to call in to check when you can pick up your clothes. She does not make calls to remind her clients nor let them know when their clothes are ready. Norma has the skills but lacks major customer service.
