I eat here an average of once per week. It is great. The turkey sandwiches are awesome, and the price of the meal deal makes this place affordable as a regular lunch option. My only complaint is the quality of the cookies.

This will be brief, and I guess somewhat fitting since Turkey To Go is pretty much just state fair nostalgia dressed up in fast food clothing. Your options when approaching the small counter at Turkey To Go include the following; turkey pita, turkey sandwich or a turkey salad. The roasted turkey is pulled and shredded, which I suppose is a bit of niche in the fast casual market and it has always been pretty good, though seeing it scooped out of the heating tray behind the counter isn’t all that appetizing. You then get your choice of various veggies, sauces and other fixins’. Overall, it’s reasonably priced fare that’s fairly tasty and ready quickly, but other than turkey filling in for more ubiquitous protein choices there isn’t anything differentiating this from the other sandwich shops around.

I’ve never been to the Turkey to Go truck/stand in Minneapolis nor have I been to their booth at the State Fair… that being said, I probably should have opted for their basic sandwich as a first timer but I like lots of vegetables and so I tried the Greek pita version. The turkey meat was very good, definitely will try the plain version next time, since the meat was good enough to eat alone, it was moist and flavorful. The Greek filling was great, good array of veggies and there was feta plus great olives. My only complaint is that the actual pita bread that my turkey/Greek filling was put in was not great. I don’t mind that the pita fell apart, but the pita had a taste/texture that made it seem like the pita was undercooked, it was a bit thin and I didn’t necessarily love that it was an herb pita either, I would’ve preferred plain wheat. Great place overall! Can’t wait to go back… won’t be a regular though, since the price was a bit much if you compare it to the other St. Paul skyway lunch options. Hope they do well and stay!!!
