Sorry I’m a few weeks late on this review, more on the ball with bad reviews. Anyway wife and I stopped in on Saturday afternoon, Bartender ask us what we wanted as we first stepped in the door, what service. Luckily got a seat at bar and met Kenny the bar manager. Without a doubt the best and nicest Bartender at any brewery I’ve been. Beers are fantastic, Imperial Cave Stout is fantastic and I am a IPA drinker. Came back a few days later to try Jalapeño Cream Ale, but wasn’t quite ready. will be back very soon. Great job.

I was determined to try Wabasha brewing and I certainly wouldn’t let a bridge closure stop me or my crazy phone GPS from trying their beers. We were able to navigate our way there, but afterwards felt a bit like a mouse in a maze getting his treat. The treat, of course, being the beer from Wabasha. A flight is always a good thing to try at a new brewery. It can give you an idea of what level of brewery you’re dealing with. So that’s what I started out with. There was the Son of Eric Cream Ale, Implosion IPA, Lawnmower Porter &RED Bonnet Amber. All were a step above the average brews with the Cream Ale being my favorite. The beers were great and all, but the taproom seemed a little too cozy for my introverted nature. It’s fairly small and the brewery portion takes up a lot of space in the building. Although seeing what they’re working with, they made the best out of what they have. If they decide to get a patio, then that will help thin out the indoor seating. In short, it’s worth stopping in for a drink. I went home with a growler as well. Cheers!

A brew room disguising itself as a neighborhood coffee shop. It’s a small brew room(At the moment) that has good beer. I had the West Side Popper, just a wonderfully smooth blond with a touch of heat from jalapenos. I was surprised at how well it worked. There is not much more you can ask. Will be back.

This place has what is most important — good beer. My wife liked the jalapeño one and my favorite was the cherry. We got the flight and everything we sampled was very tasty. It’s in a fun location considering there isn’t another brewery on that side of downtown. Small but definitely growing — tell your friends!

Small brewery right now, but big plans. It’s in an interesting partially-industrial area near the caves in St. Paul. Awesome staff and the crowd is super nice. Rumor has it they are planning on building a patio and expanding to the remainder of the building. I loved the«West Side Popper» — it tastes like a jalapeño popper since it’s cream ale. Great flavor, great finish, and I’ve never had anything like it. I thought their«Son of Eric Cream Ale» was also a nice beer. Other people at the table enjoyed the IPA’s. I thought the«Snowblower Robust Porter» was a bit too sweet and vanilla-forward, but I will be back. This place is getting big with the west side/west st paul crowd.
