If you like nuts, you would be NUTS if you don’t buy your nuts at We Are Nuts. Does spending over $ 100.00 on nuts on one trip sound crazy? Well then yes I am crazy. I used to be a casual fan of nuts. I mean who doesn’t like to snack on nuts? Whether its eating peanuts at the ball game, sun flower seeds on my salad, cooking and baking with almonds and walnuts or snacking on cashews and pecans. I have always liked nuts. Well after first trying some nuts from We Are Nuts, I became a fanatic. Their nuts are so good! So you have to be wondering, what makes them so good. Well let me tell you. We Are Nuts is a family owned business. They started out just making nuts somewhat as a hobby for the 3M company and grew from there. I remember reading an article in the paper about them several years ago when they opened their retail space. Now let me tell you, their retail space is not like the typical retail space. In fact its in a warehouse area in St Paul. The first time I went to their location I figured I was lost. You’ll drive a long all these warehouses with lots of trucks and dump trucks in the area. At the end of the road you’ll pull into a warehouse and figure you’re lost until you see their sign. It’s a no frills place but let me tell you this is one of the gems of MN. We Are Nuts is only open about 4 months per year. Why is that? Well they pick their own nuts at the peak of the season. Then they roast their nuts and open their store When the nuts are sold and the season is over, so is business until next year. They also have other great deals on groceries and other items in their store. The freshness in their nuts will have you loving them at first bite. Their prices are very reasonable and if you sign up for their newsletter you’ll be aware of their weekly deals. I am a bit surprised that there were not more reviews written. Then I thought maybe I’ll keep this sweet secret to myself. Nah, this is the type of place that people need to know about. I usually don’t like to go shopping, I love shopping at We Are Nuts. Do yourself a favor and take a little trip to St Paul and make that drive through the warehouses as their is a little store of gold waiting for you but only for a few more months.

Milk Chocolate Double Dipped peanuts and Poppycock are both two thumbs up! Very challenging to not pig out and finish in a single sitting.
