Sunrise Lanes

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. It’s just not an option. This place is horrible and the «customer service» is non existent. The lanes suck and Eric behind the counter doesn’t have any sense of customer service WHAT SO EVER. We paid for two games with the possibility of a 3^rd but we weren’t sure at first. Eric said we could add one afterward but then (without checking with us) gave the lane to another party while we were waiting in line to pay for the 3^rd game.
Plus side is that the bar staff is awesome. Thanks Michelle for putting a little happy into this crappy situation.

Came here on a rainy day finding something to do. We have been coming here for over a year now and this is one of the best bowling places to go to in St Pete.
The bowling alley has a great selection of food, bar, and many lanes to bowl in. You can actually bring your alcohol beverages to the table at the seating area which is great. The seating is updated and provides you with couches to sit on. We enjoy the cosmic bowling after 9pm which is always fun. We enjoy coming here. The food, beer, and cost to bowl is typical and not too pricey like Splittsville.

Overall pretty fun place. In elementary school every time I got straight A’s we had a field trip here. The nachos and cheese are the BOMB. My 10-​year-​old cousin had her party here last December, and the other food was not bad. I’ve never been to the arcade.

On Saturday night we arrived at Sunrise Lanes at around 11pm. Unfortunately we weren’t able to bowl because the waitlist was 12 people/​groups long. We decided to stay anyway and check out the pool tables, darts and arcade room. The darts machine was not working properly. It was not keeping score correctly. The games in the arcade room were worst. Almost every game was just taking our tokens and never actually coming on and allowing us to play it.

A little nicer than your typical bowling alley, although you definitely can’t tell from the outside. We went in the afternoon, and being that it was summer, their were other moms there with their kids too! The young woman at the counter was very friendly. The place seemed clean and in good shape. Go to the website and sign the kids up for free bowling, 14 and under, it’s a great way to save money. The kids get two free games during certain hours and certain months. (You’ll still need to pay for shoe rental.) Good place to kill a couple of hours during summer break.

As far as bowling alleys, this is one of the nicer ones I have been to. Like some others have stated, from the outside it doesn’t look like much but the did some nice work inside remodeling. The place is clean and each lane has a nice set of couches for the bowlers.
I thought the people who worked here were friendly, especially our bartender. We didn’t eat anything from the snack bar but there is a full bar that met all our needs/​requests/​bad decisions. Rates for the lanes seemed reasonable with unlimited bowling after 10 pm on a Saturday night.
The game room is a awesome. They have air hockey and pop-​a-​shot which are pretty much my main requests for a bowling alley game room. My only complaint is they still use tokens so you have to commit to spending X amount of dollars.
Overall a fun place for a good price. I’ll be back!

IGNORE THE OUTSIDE. STEP INSIDE.
I’m wrong. I judged a book by its cover. Sunshine Lanes is inside the corner of a drab, brown plaza with an equally drab parking lot. But once I entered I felt like I was at any ol’ bowling alley. It’s not the flashiest inside with all the latest entertainment and food – but it’s definitely clean and open to families.
CHEAP ENTERTAINMENT
One corner is for the parties – often kids’ birthdays. Another corner has a bar (didn’t try) and there’s a small arcade too with about a dozen games. Check their website and calendar because there’s often deals or discounts to play on certain evenings.
The screens up top often play a mixed genre of popular music videos Again… nothing flashy. The alleys are straightforward with the option for bumpers. The cheap food counter has all the typical fried items like Fries, Nuggets, and Sodas. My gluten-​free self had a difficult time finding something to eat. It’s a simple, fun way to spend a competitive time with your friends, family, or date night.

We were not treated nice when we went there. The person working the counter was rude and a bigot I will never return to this place again.

Went with another couple and had a great time. We went on a Saturday evening, it was fairly quite which was nice. They offer several deals, just not at the time we were there. Very clean. They have couches at the lanes to sit on. Drinks were reasonable and well poured. It was a really nice facility.

I’ve been here about three times for the Saturday unlimited galactic bowling, only $ 15. The service has always been good, they move as quickly as they can with people lines up out the door for the special. There’s also an arcade and about 4 pool tables, which is a nice variety of activities. There are plenty of chairs and couches for a party. The full bar is a nice touch if you’re looking to just hang out and have a few drinks. And I think it’s worth mentioning that the areas are clean and the bathrooms are kept up with (the best they can). I do recommend this place and I’ll definitely be back!

What a great place! One of the nicest bowling alleys I’ve seen. The bar area overlooks the lanes. The lanes have cushioned seats. $ 15 all you can bowl on Friday night includes shoes. It has a decent size arcade room but the games are really old and we had a hard time finding the right ball for us. I would def come back. Fun night!

We went on a Saturday at noon and had a wonderful time! Great 80 ’ s video music on the screens and super clean. Had 2 buckets of beer and was reasonable. Would certainly recommend during the day time for families and couples wanting to have some fun and do something different. Cannot really say about the night time, though I have heard it can get quite busy with the rowdy teenagers and early 20’s

Fun, Fun, Fun! I love to go bowling and Sunrise Lanes is my preferred location. They have a decent amount of lanes and we have never had a problem getting a spot. They have a wide variety of bowling balls, nice lanes, «galactic bowling» for cheap, pool tables, arcade games and a nice bar.
I would recommend eating before or after bowling. We were hungry while we were here and my Husband decided to order onion rings. Big mistake. Our expensive onion rings took FOREVER and ended up being burnt. The kid behind the counter (who couldn’t have been more than 16) apologized and offered to remake them, but we didn’t have all day. Just skip the food.
Service at the front desk is also a little iffy here. It can be quite slow to pay and get your lane. We also learned that you have to go back up, wait in line again, pay and then go back to your lane if you want to play additional games. Kind of a hassle. When I used to bowl a lot as a teenager, we could just play as many as we want and pay at the end.
Overall, a great time. I recommend Tues-​Thurs Galactic bowling for only $ 11/​person. Definitely the best deal!

A nice bowling lane to bring the family to. It’s not that fancy and pretty old school but they usually have open lanes except for league nights and a full bar and game room. The couches you sit on and wait your turn with are a nice touch and pretty comfy. It does get quite busy on Saturday nights and if you have your family here with kids 12 and under I’d suggest leaving by 9:00.

Good place clean and renovated. Has sofas for seating. Late night LEDs come on and disco lights get on.

Great place! Expensive though and the cashier was reading a magazine while we were standing right in front of him.

Every Tuesday and Thursday, galactic bowling for $ 11 with shoes and tax included. Best deal ever! Place is clean, staff is friendly, and they have an amazing game room! Always been a favorite for bowling at this location. Keep coming back and there’s a reason why.

This is a great place to bowl.
There are sofas at each lane, so it is really comfortable and allows for easy conversation. It is a clean bowling alley and there is a place to get food and an arcade. The screens often flash with deals that are happening. You can even get jello shots here for $ 1.25.
We were bowling with one kid and could make it that the bumpers came on only for her. That was really neat.
I would definitely come back and maybe try some of the food and beverages.

This place just underwent a beautiful renovation! Now, instead of the uncomfortable plastic table and chairs, they have modern comfy couches to relax while you wait for your turn to bowl! A pretty cool bowling alley with a lounge that has a full bar and pool. There is also a café where you can get food and beverages. This came in handy when I needed a cappuccino because the air conditioning was on so much and it was freezing!
This is just your typical neighborhood bowling alley. The inside is pretty cute with the aquarium décor.
