This should have been a 5-star review for Bobs, as their burgers are a tasty little things(especially with extra sauce and onion) at a great price point. SADLY, however, its only 3 stars today because I went by the restaurant at 6PM, which was 2 hours before their posted closing time. However, being Labor Day, they were closing early. I made a special trip to the store just to get some Bobs burgers after hearing about it. Despite their being a line of folks waiting to order, Bob’s staff unceremoniously turned off the lights and walked out, without a word said to those of us who were waiting. Pretty ridiculous behavior to turn away paying customers in a brand-new«we’re back-in-busiensss» type«comeback.» Really, really rude and frustrating behavior. How hard would it have been to either(a) serve the customers or(b) apologize for closing earlier than the posted 8PM time due to the holiday. Anyway, will I come back? Sure, if I happen to be in the mall. Will I make another special trip there? Nope. This was a total FAIL on the manager’s part. Three stars is based on past performance; I’ll update the next time I’m there.

.@oregonstatefair Wasted $ 15 on 2 hamburger combos at the Bobs Burgers stand at the Oregon State Fair today. Burgers were tasty, but small and squished like McDonalds. Fries were soggy, cold and flavorless. Hubby raved about this place because of fond childhood memories, but I think he was a bit disappointed too. Thumbs down.

I grew up on Bob’s Burgers so much of this is nostalgia but there is nothing wrong with that. The burgers are just as I remember them and just as good. Yeah, they don’t stack up today to Carl’s Jr or Red Robin, etc… but that is ok. The downside is they cost as much as Carl’s Jr or Red Robin but serve McDonald’s quality burgers and fries. Basically they are way overpriced for what you get. But that doesn’t stop me from getting a burger there every once in awhile but I won’t go there regularly like I would if things were priced better.

It is sad, not the cheap/good bob’s of yesteryear. I have to agree with a previous posters comment, that famous Bob sauce is not the same as it use to be. Some things die for a reason, and should just stay dead! This is a travesty for any bob’s purest. So I hear burgerville is coming back to Salem?

A walk down memory lane for my fiancé, whose grandmother took her to the original location as a kid. Good food for the value, with a nicely sized menu.

Worst burger ever, their meat reminded me of school lunch burger or an ampm. Definetely not there burger I remember as a kid growing up here. Trust me save your money this place will be closed as soon as everyone realizes that the mc double is better than there burger at a third them cost

Their cheesburgers are thin patties like a McDonald’s single. They don’t melt the cheese slice and it comes with their special sauce which is similar to thousand island dressing. Their fries are equally like McDonald’s and, in this case, that’s a plus in my mind. However, the burger was pretty boring. I think this is one of those places that either isn’t as good as it supposedly once was the first time around or people just like to convince themselves that it’s better than mediocre because of a nostalgia trip.

Well me and my boy were at Salem center mall today. So I saw they had opened a Bob’s burger where McDonald’s used to be. We each had a double cheese burger meal. Well it’s about the same price as McDonald’s but about a quarter the size. There’d medium fries and drink are the size of a small any where’s else. We asked for fry sauce to dip our fries in that was 50 cents for a small container that would have dipped 5 fries It’s a shame I remember eating at Bob’s over on Capitol when I was in high school they were way better than this. We should have gone to Charlies subs instead

My third time eating at Bob’s since they came back. …flavor is OK but my two main complaints are: 1. think they are using the sauce from the jar and not making it fresh like they used to and 2. They are waaaaay over priced for what you get. Food in Disneyland is cheaper for goodness sakes! I gave them three stars mostly for nostalgia. I just I have to say, I hope In-N-Out opens a place nearby soon…

I cannot believe that there is only one review of Bob’s and it is negative! A Bob’s burger is a simple thing of metaphorical if not literal beauty. A taste of nostalgic bliss from a time gone by. If you weren’t raised on Bob’s, then you probably won’t get it. It’s like Salem’s version of White Castle. If you aren’t from around there, you might not get what the big deal is. After all, it isn’t obscenely huge and bogged down under piles of crap like 5 guys. It’s got American cheese, but just doesn’t look like something an American would eat! Why, it could only be 400 calories, tops! The nerve! I had a hamburger shaped hole in my life for seventeen years, that was only filled with the rebirth of Bob’s Burgers. It’s not just a burger, IT’S A BOB’S! God bless you, noble burger. You complete me.

Came here with high expectations due to all the rave about this place from my friends. Let’s say I was very disappointed. My burger was flat and lifeless, and the fries were wayy too salty. Both me & my date weren’t happy with the result of our meal. /:
