Really good food! Great egg rolls and the Mandarin Chicken is awesome. Portions a tad small but prices are reasonable.

Wonderful place been going here for over ten years and always get the same great food. Lunch special before 3pm is by far the best way to get most of your money although the crab puffs are so addicting u may not be able to stop at just 2.

I do agree that the owners are not very friendly and joyful people. The food is always good. I always follow the health department score on restaurants and this restaurant has been in the mid 90’s for the las five years. I feel safe eating here and would give them 5 stars if they were friendlier.

The best tasting Chinese food ever! But customer service lacks and the place is just so dirty and crowded with their home junk as if they live there! They need a serious remodeling or else the health inspector is going to find something that is going to shut them down.

Food is great, and my husbands first choice 100% of the time when we eat out lol! However, the customer service is TERRIBLE! They seriously need help with that :/

I would love to give this place 1 or 2 stars, I really would. Their customer service is severely lacking and the hostess looks too young to be working; no greeting when you enter and no friendly warm and fuzzies like you expect when you give a restaurant your hard earned money. The same girl also spent a lot of time sitting in one of the booths playing on her phone with her ear buds in last time I was there and not a lot of time greeting or helping customers. The waitress we had the time before last seemed to have extreme difficulty with even simple tasks. A lot of their stock and store room is visible from the dining area, so on, so forth. But alas, I can’t. Their food is just really, really good. I typically get pork chow mein, pork fried rice, and sweet and sour pork. Yeah, it’s a lot of pork, I get it. Sometimes I also get the fried shrimp. It’s all delicious. It reminds me of the place I grew up eating Chinese food back home. I can highly recommend the take out service and its my preferred method of eating there. 4 out of 5 fortune cookies, would definitely recommend.

Lunch specials are very reasonably priced, but the meat quality is just as poor a every other Chinese restaurant. Stretchy beef and chicken-blech! Against my better judgement I ordered the Mongolian beef. It was SUPER sweet, not spicy, and didn’t have broccoli like another restaurant I used to order from. The fried shrimp were really, really good though. I might go back just for those. The water was nasty. Don’t drink it.

It was not as good as it was before. Very bad services. The lady who owns the place seems like a racist bitch! and was so rude to me and my family. I was even disgusted in what I found in my food. I took my leftovers home since I don’t like to waste food. When I open my box to reheat my food I notice a small green like worm in my rice noodles. I poke it with my fork and it stared to move. I was so freaked out I threw all the food away. Never again will I return to this place!

Food is excellent! Best generals tso chicken I have ever eaten. Other very good plates Ginger beef, Mongolian beef, House special chow mein. Also the hot and sour soup is a great way to start a meal here.

Came in for our traditional Christmas Eve dinner. Even though they were busy, food was fast and friendly. Food quality as always was amazing. Decent portions, we went home with leftovers. Kung pao chicken, sesame chicken, sweet and sour pork were all delicious.

Best consistently good Chinese food in Salem, hands down. Family owned & operated. It’s a dive — VERY funky. The service isn’t overly friendly and sometimes there’s a wait. But the food more than makes up for it. Lunch specials are huge and so reasonably priced. Sesame Chicken, Lemon Chicken, House Special Chow Mein, Happy Family, Mongolian Beef, Kung Pao Triple, Curry Chicken, Vegetable Deluxe, Double Pork Chow Mein … these are all such special, scrumptious dishes. It’s as if the chef is truly cooking with passion and love. The sauce on their General Tsao is amazing! Their soups are yummy — their House Special Noodles are comfort food heaven!

The food is very good, I’ve been coming here mostly for lunch for the last 7 years. However, there is one waitress/hostess /family member who’s service is so poor, I’m giving China Faith one star. My son and I popped in last night for dinner after a movie at about 9 pm– they close at 10. We were greeted with, «you pick up order or you stay?» yelled from the back of the restaurant. I cheerily replied, «we’re staying» and a look of disgust crossed get face. «You pick out table…» Okay, fine. We sat at a table. She tossed down a few menus on our table and left. There was one other young couple eating there and they had already finished their food. No tea, no water for 20 minutes while we waited to order. She finally came back and we immediately ordered. I got the shrimp chow yuk and my son ordered a combination dinner. There was no music, only some talk radio that we couldn’t make out. We finally get our food, which I was quite happy with. Our waitress disappears into a side door, and the 13 year old who’d been sitting in the cluttered front storage area(it looks like a disheveled closet– I spied a crock pot on one shelf), comes to the front of the restaurant and broadcasts an angsty teen conversation so loudly, she may as well have been talking to us. This is how I know she’s 13, «I’m 13 years old, I don’t have time to go out, I have to study!!!» My son pleaded with me not to say anything to her, like oh I don’t know, we were CUSTOMERSIN A RESTAURANT and to keep it down? Finally in disgust, my son asked the girl for some to-go containers, we packed up our food and left the dingy, angry atmosphere. Frankly, I want my $ 24 back… and no, I certainly did not tip. I hope one of the owners reads this and helps that lady find a more fitting job than Asian soup nazi… and perhaps a smile which we also never received. Jeezes!!!

VERY slow service when I was here. 30 minutes — had to ask them to check on my order, as people who had come in after me were already served. Had to ask twice for a water refill… But the food was good(Kung Pao Chicken) — and the portion size was just crazy huge. WAY more than I eat — and traveling on business, had to leave it behind which was a shame — it was quite good actually. Very well balanced, with good overall seasonings consistent with the«heat»(I asked for very spicy). Service was pretty indifferent — perhaps it’s a place for locals, and strangers are more or less ignored? I got that sense anyway. The FOOD was 5 stars — But overall, 3 stars — I’d eat here again Dave

I never give 5 stars… but imagine a place that you hadn’t been to in 11 years(because you moved out of state) and you walk in and the owner not only remembers you, but your favorite dishes as well!!! Delicious, fresh and fantastic service. Love the diced chicken chow mein with pan fried noodles!

It was a pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff, and clean. Unfortunately, if you are sensitive to MSG this is NOT the place for you! Very few items on the menu are prepared without MSG! Couldn’t eat the fried rice or pot stickers… 2 of my favorites! It is sad with the awareness of the current chemical evasion that they don’t consider using other natural seasonings instead of MSG.

We have been dinning at China Faith for the last 18 years on a regular basis. The food is consistently good and the price is right. The owners are not very friendly and happy people, but the waitresses they have hired are nice. We have ordered about $ 60 of food to go and it more than filled up 12 of us and we had leftovers. I would recommend first trying a lunch special.

After reading a number of favorable Unilocal reviews I presumed this would be a safe option. Unfortunately that was not the case. Although I ordered a vegetable/meatless entrée, the food smelled like pork. This leads me to believe they used a pot that was not properly cleaned. Also the order was excessively greasy and otherwise inedible. This may have been the worst Chinese meal I have experienced in Salem.
