I cannot speak highly enough of this wonderful little store! The yarns are heavenly. The owner and staff are so helpful. They are not just a place to purchase. You can go in sit and knit/crochet. In my case, they will help fix your mistakes :) ! I will also add, they taught me the proper fashion to knit when I was doing it all backwards and they’re amazing about it! There is not enough stars!

I can not say enough good things about this shop! It is a warm friendly place with helpful staff and lots of beautiful yarns to choose from. They are always willing to help you find a pattern for the right project for whatever yarns have captured your heart. They are encouraging to all levels of knitters/crocheters and after years of trying to learn, finally taught me how to knit!!! Their classes are small enough to provide plenty of hands on help and the instructors are patient and kind. This is not a stuffy grandmother’s yarn shop!

There are so many things that I love about this yarn store. The owner, Ana, is a friendly, knowledgeable and experienced knitter. There is a nice place to sit and knit or sit and crochet. She carries many types of yarn and whenever I am unsure of what yarn to use for a project, she is always there with a great suggestion. I have attended the Learning to Knit with Caroline, and the Learn to Crochet Class with Gina. Both were positive learning environments and I had fun. I’m a big fan of the shop and I think you will be as well once you check it out.

A great new LYS in Salem! The owner Ana Campos is very friendly and super helpful for new and experienced knitters. The inventory is always fresh and plentiful, with a price range to fit any budget. Circle of Stitches carries spinning fiber in addition to great yarn and handy notions, plus gorgeous project bags and a nice collection of patterns both new and vintage. Pop in to pick up supplies and stay to knit a few rows on the comfy couch, or just chat with some other fiber aficionados! Crocheters, don’t be dissuaded by my constant mention of knitting. I never got the hang of the hook, but of course you’ll be more than welcome! And for anyone looking to learn yarny tricks, there is a class schedule available on the store’s website. Parking is available in front of the shop, in the garage on Derby and Congress(25 cents per hour), or on neighboring streets with meters.

I love Circle of Stitches! I am a beginner knitter and have found a helpful staff and wonderful yarn at this shop. Anna Campos is an expert at directing me to the right project and right yarn. She has incredible, lush colored Malabrigo yarn. The ability to drop by and knit, ask questions on Wednesday’s knit night helped me complete my very first projects. I am so enthralled, that I now am on to my first sweater. Great place.

Fresh new face in Salem, Circle of Stitches on Pickering Wharf promises to be a wonderful addition to our knitting supply options on the North Shore. Ana, the owner, is a talented dyer and designer with experience in yarn retail and knitter support. She’s stocked great yarns like Malabrigo and Blue Sky Alpaca, and patterns from sought after designers from Mac & Me to Joji Locatelli. There’s a comfy couch and a table in the window for serious knit business. The space is light bright and airy. Parking is pretty fuss-free and there’s other shops and good food all around. Worth the trip to Salem in and of itself.
