Delicious! Puts Five Guys in the corner where they belong. Burgers were huge, greasy, flavorful, and amazing. Fry sauce was superb. We will be regulars now that we’ve discovers Nancy’s. We got ours to go, next time we will be separating the burgers, one got a little smashed and was even messier than it normally would have been. Still tastes great though!

We were eager to give Nancy’s a try after reading all the hype. We like 5 Guys and if she could do it better, so be it. My wife and I quickly came to the conclusion that«No» she doesn’t do it better. Burgers were OK, fries nothing to write home about. Service was lackluster and not very personable. After a couple of bites, we wished we’d saved our money and gone to the Wendy’s 100 feet away. Can’t believe they haven’t gotten a nasty letter(maybe they have?) from 5 Guys about stealing their theme.

This place kicks five guy’s butt. Im always greeted warmly and one lady(wish i could remeber her name) even gave me some recommendations on what would go good a burger. Love going there

The food here is a strange mix of great and horrible. The fresh vegetables were great. My order of fries was inconsistent– some fries were crispy, well done and great, while others were limp, greasy and horrible. The bun and party on the burger were fresh, which is great. But they also completely fell apart, making finishing the burger nearly impossible(horrible). The service was fast and friendly and the restaurant was clean. It does strangely appear to be duplicating Five guys, from the bags of potatoes to the menu. The prices are even higher though, with no discount on combos. I wanted to try a burger and a fry, and got a drink– it totaled to around $ 10, and ended up being double the food I could eat. The small fry would be a large at many places– I’d rather pay less and get far less fries. Perhaps splitting a meal with a friend is the way to go here, but I wasn’t blown away enough to return with a friend anytime soon.

Only patrons in this joint at 230pm. Shoulda known. Hubby’s egg burger was just OK. my $ 4.25 grilled cheese was inedible. The fries were all green and tasteless/hard. Onion rings were decent, thus the 2 stars. Won’t be back.

Nancy’ bergers are OK, very greasy. I am kind of freaked out because the last few times I went there my burger was pink in the middle. And one of the cooks is always stuffing food in his mouth rite in plain view while cooking .(that’s not right) .the bacon is always wobbly and pretty much raw and when I mentioned it to them they said that’s how they cook it and recooked my bacon till it was way over done. I have just been going to Five Guys lately. And I think going to Five Guys has been great .they don’t have employees stuffing their face with food while cooking and 5 guys is a lot better and they use much better quality of meat .at five guys they are really is friendly and customer oriented. And don’t try to pay with a hundred dollar bill. Nancy will let you know that your not welcome to eat there if you try paying with a $ 100 bill.

Mediocre burger. I asked if the fries were crispy before I ordered. The girl said she could make them crispy, so I ordered the small… Which was double the size of a recommended portion. It took about 15 minutes for my order, and when the fries were delivered they were quite brown… But NOT crispy. Very disappointed in their over-cooked, bendy fries. Do people not understand that overcooking fries doesn’t necessarily make them crispy? If I am going to splurge and eat something unhealthy, I want to make damn sure they’re going to be the right texture and taste. The girl should’ve just said no to my question. To some people, bendy fries are actually acceptable. Honesty is always best. I will not return.

Delicious burgers! Love the choices of lettuce and cheese. Fresh ingredients. Fries are hot and good old fashion french fries like mom made! Prices are spectacular, location is good although I could see how someone not familiar with the area could miss it on the first pass. My only complaint is the fry sauce sitting on the counter without being iced. But whatever!

Good food. But my rating is based of the fact that their riding on the coat tails of five guys. I find it utterly disgusting that they duplicated five guys almost exactly. Yes, they have a few small differences, but they don’t have a single original idea. Shame on you.

One of the best burgers in Salem, juicy, hot. Service was very friendly and fast. This is casual dining and much better than many of your national chain places. I recommend you stop by and grab a burger.

Heard great things about Nancy’s from locals and decided to try it when I had an errand to run to Salem. I walked and in and stopped in my tracks, I looked at the sign, it said Nancy’s Burgers and Fries but I thought I was in a Five Guys, same décor, potatoes along the wall, menu… I hope Five Guys doesn’t sue the pants off Nancy. Smelled good though, so we ordered our toppings, of which there are many to choose from and the size of our burger and of course, fries. Really basic soft drink choices, only one diet option. When will people learn? The space is small, but we found an open table that was tall with tall stools, it’s always fun to eat and look down on people. Before long our order number was bellowed out and I hopped down to retrieve it. The burger was quite excellent, the meat was good, the bacon crisp, the lettuce fresh and I liked having a cheese choice like provolone on my burger. The fries were plentiful, a small order was enough for two grown men, however they were super duper greasy, and yet the taste was good. Since the fries come in a paper sack we rolled them around and wicked off some of the oils which helped but we did not finish them. Overall, a nice place with a good burger and nice staff.

Came here for my family Birthday Lunch. It’s a lot like 5 Guys but since it’s local I prefer it. It’s a bit on the expensive side, with the cheapest burger being about $ 4.50. This is not a normal sit down restaurant. If you want fine place mats and the like go to Red Robin. This is a messy juicy burger in a bag full of greasy fries type of joint. And if you are eating here then that just means you’re pulling the burger out of the bag and sitting down on their complimentary chairs and tables. No trays, no plates, no frills. I ordered the double bacon cheeseburger(almost $ 8) and it was great! My only complaint is the buns don’t hold up well to these burgers. All 4 of us had our buns falling apart on us but the buns were fresh and soft. There are some other burger joints that make just as good of burgers if you want the more proper sit down restaurant but sometimes having juice flowing down your arm and dripping on your shirt is just darn good. My family loved the fries, they were fully cooked and yes they were a bit limp, but do you know what the other fast food companies do to their fries to make them crisp like they do? Lots of chemicals I am sure. I will be coming back when we can afford to!

Had lunch here today because we heard it was better than Five Guys. Nancy’s is nowhere near as good. The lettuce was wilted and rotten, way too much ketchup and mustard and the fries were not very good. They may have started out good but were cold when we got them. We will definitely not be back.

It was meant to be. I just changed jobs and now work on Lancaster and from my window I can see that horrid restaurant, Five Guys. Although Nancy’s didn’t open up right next door to me, they are just a short drive down Lancaster – perfect for my lunch hour. I went in today and found the place dead. I think that being tucked away like they are is a big problem, but hopefully soon everyone will learn they are there and flood in. Not too soon, though, because I enjoy the quick service. The food and service were stellar. Maybe it’s just because it’s been about a month since I ate here, but I found it to be – seriously – the best burger in Salem. Hands down. LOVELOVELOVE Nancy’s!
