Pizzas and calzones are great. Just had a chicken Caesar salad though and I’m not impressed. The lettuce was fresh and crisp and the chicken was amazing(very juicy and well seasoned). Which is great but the dressing I was given was literally mustard and mayo mixed together. It was gross.

I agree with others who have found the employees to be rude here. I always hesitate to visit Rizzo’s because they are *that* rude. Sometimes I just suffer through it because their pizza is PHENOMENAL, but I mostly decide against Rizzo’s and head elsewhere.

Tried there pizza, not bad for greek pizza if you like that. I ordered an Italian sub, the meats and cheese and vegetables were good but the sub roll was hard it seemed stale. Not worth the price.

I was here earlier today(10−31−15). I wish that I could give it 5-stars. However, due to the rudeness of the employees here I can only give it 2 stars. The food was decent and arrived reasonably quickly. It is a little bit on the pricey side for fast-food type food.

Horrible staff. They have no sense of urgency whatsoever. There was a line of 8 people and they didn’t even acknowledge anyone because they were too busy putting delivery orders together. Wouldn’t you think they’d at least have one person taking orders at the register? We waited for 25 minutes for a small pizza(they didn’t have slices) then asked, and they haven’t even put it in the oven yet. We gave the benefit of the doubt the first time that happened… but we should’ve known better! And they didn’t even apologize!

Pizza is Greek style with generous amount of toppings; Monday beat the clock is a worthwhile deal. Their calzones are also filling and great for parties

My wife and I love Rizzos. We order from here at least twice a week or more. Let me make it clear, we tried ordering from other places just for the sake of trying, no one came close. Fresh ingredients, awesome taste and combinations. We love the salads, specially the Greek salad, grill chicken salad, and the house dressing is the best! The subs and pizza are also really good! About a month ago, we had a small issue with our order that was caused by a new staff, the owner emailed us, invited us back and the issue was fixed and it never happened again. If you’re in the area and want great food and awesome service, stop by Rizzos. They really care about their food and service, and for us that’s important.

Great roast beef sandwich. Neck and neck with Mino’s. Staff makes you feel like you are bothering them.

Just got a pizza from there and was very let down. We have ordered from them since they opened a few years ago, and they just changed their dough/crust. It is now a «Greek» style crust where it used to be a «Italian» style, and some of the ingredients changed too. Now it is just like every other pizza around, and that is not a good thing. Too bad. It was great pizza before, and now it’s just ehh…

I tried Rizzo’s in Swampscott again, and was greeted with adequately friendly service, timely serving, and good food. The owner who reached out after my original one star was clearly concerned as an owner of any business should be. Based on his concern, I am confident he «retrained» the counter staff. I will be back.

Best roast beef on onion roll with LTM I’ve had in the immediate area. The only other place I like as much is Nick’s in Beverly but it’s too far to drive. We also liked the Tonester pizza.

Been here a few times now and have literally waited my entire lunch break for my order to come up! 25min for Mediocre food! No thanks! Won’t happen again, don’t waste your time with this place.

Ordered out from Rizzo’s two weeks in a row. Friendly, efficient service both times. Got the kids a cheese pizza on first visit & it had nice flavor. Second visit ordered a Greek salad which was prettier than almost every other Greek salad I’ve ever ordered at a pizza joint; orange & red peppers, red onion, mescaline mix with iceberg lettuce and lots of feta. The Greek dressing was nice and different than the same old bulk ordered Greek dressing. My DH got a roast beef sandwich and he said it was as good as Royal Roast Beef in E. Boston(he loves it there). We’ll be going back to Rizzo’s for sure.

The Greek style pizza was soggy, greasy, sauce spicy, and the cheese was too waxy. The Greek Salad was pricey and the chicken was dry. They actually charged me for extra dressing, too. The subs are nothing special, good to absorb the taste bud numbing brew from a party night. The roast beef was tender, but not rare, needed lots of Catchup or BBQ sauce. Because of the dearth of decent sub shops in the area, it’s an option, but I can’t say I’d make it a go to weekly place.

I haven’t tried their roast beef yet. Most of what I have tried has been acceptable. They put mayonnaise on my Italian sub, who does that!!? Italian subs come with oil unless a customer specifically says; «I’m retarded and want mayo on my Italian sub…»

The Greek salad — with home made house dressing — is addictive. I WANT the recipe that’s how much I love it. Nothing fancy about the ingredients, but they know their olives and feta cheese. I’m picky about both. I always order double the feta and I’m lucky enough to get a second thing of dressing to keep in my fridge. It is a little pricey, but I’m always willing to pay more for good quality food.

The subs are decent, but the marinara sauce for their Mozzarella sticks is terrible, no flavor at all.

Rizzo’s is without a doubt the best roast beef in the North Shore. This place is always consistent, always spotless(clean) and the staff is amazing. I have eaten at about every roast beef place North of Revere; Rizzo’s food is absolutely amazing. This place has the best roast beef around, his steak tips are out of this world. Everything is made fresh that day. As far as for the owner George, he is a master at his craft, he will make you feel like you are family when you go in there. He truly cares about every aspect of your experience well eating there. You can check out Rizzo’s in Salem/Swampscott line, Peabody, and in Wilmington. If you enjoy subs/pizza/roast beef/exc, you have to check out Rizzo’s 5+ stars

It’s a pizza and roast beef joint. Expect to walk into a kitchen with a counter used to serve guests and a coolers that allow you to pick your drink of choice. That being said, I chose my favorite past-time…Italian sub, loaded. I was quite impressed. They weren’t cheap on the cold cuts or the veggies. I made the mistake of not getting it toasted which I think is always better. Can’t blame them for that. The sandwich was a good size and had all the fixings. All in all it was a good experience. Nothing over the top for me, but they do deliver to Marblehead so that’s a HUGE plus! I’ll definitely check out Rizzo’s again!
