We just moved from Salem to Texas and we rented from John at U-​Haul moving and storage at Silverton. John was exceptional. He went out of his way to make sure that everything was perfect. The truck was not clean but he made it right. Great guy. Even if you have to go out of your way you should go to this U-​Haul. OUTSTANDING customer service,

The staff was friendly and the service was as fast as could be expected for a u-​haul location. We rented a small moving box truck to pick up a scoop loader to work on our property, just for towing, no moving. We got to the rental yard and found it had a 2″ tow ball and we needed a 2.5″. We called u-​haul and this was all they had. We returned the truck and had it less than a hour and put 7 miles on it. They charged us for the whole day and rerented the truck to someone else. We are moving in a year to Nevada and will need several moving trucks with car haulers to move all our vehicles. We will not be using U-​haul because we feel they shouldn’t have charged us full price if they were going to double rent it that same day.

This place is horrible. the staff doesn’t know how to use the computers properly. They weren’t able to answer questions I had about the storage units. Their outside storage units are raised way up and surrounded by mud and gravel when it rains. I waited in line for 15 minutes to speak with someone, and the people behind me even longer while I argued with them about how I dint want anyone else to have authorized access to my unit. Just me and my husband. They said I had to… WHAT? No, I don’t think so. I was so mad, that I left there and went to a different storage place to empty the U-​haul. And then I went to a completely different U-​haul site up the road at Security Storage to turn the truck in. By the way, security storage has better prices on space and the staff is way more friendly.

Great staff, helpful and always willing to help with questions about trucks. Defiantly recommend to anyone that needs a truck to go here. Renting was easy and returning was simple. Didn’t even have to go in they came out and checked the truck in in less than 5 mins.

We have rented moving trucks from here on 3 separate occasions and there has never been a smooth transaction. Once, they stated they didn’t have our reservation (which it was later discovered they did have) and sent us on a wild goose chase around town trying to find it. Another time, the car started shaking violently when I used the brakes. When I returned minutes later stating I would not be driving it, they tried to convince me that it was normal. The customer service has been extremely poor an the knowledge seems to border on incompetence.
