I love what the DAV stands for, just not this location. It was dirty, smelled bad, and the cart I used was sticky (!). Since there were a plethora of volunteers, maybe they should spend some time cleaning too? There was a bunch of junk no one else wanted (brass fixtures, dirty mattresses, tchtochkes, etc.) and I overheard the volunteers arguing about who gets 1st dibs on donated items. C’mon Salina, you can do better for our vets. #GodblesstheUSA

Whenever I’m in Salina, I have to come by here to see what new things they have in. They consistently beat Goodwill and the other thrift shops in town in terms of the volume of offerings for sale, and have a great selection of books, music & furniture — the three things I’m usually on the hunt for at thrift shops.
Always seem to have a slight problem to get someone getting to come to the register when it’s time to check out, even with a little bell up front, but other than that it’s generally a great experience.
