The food was extremely bland. The beef was over velvetized making it mushy. Definitely not a 2^nd try when there is so much better.

My parents have been coming since I was inside my dads… Anyway this is my go to spot for Chinese food in Salinas. The cooks are nice peeps as well.

I’m visiting from out of town and decided to check out this 4 star Chinese restaurant and wow, this is probably the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had.
It pretty much comes down to two sentences.
Combination fried rice/​orange chicken/​chow mein was soggy and completely tasteless. Don’t come here to eat.

We order here all the time great family owned restaurant. The lunch specials are really good. Service is great .they treat you like family when you go all the time. They remember what you like. It only takes your order 5 minutes to be ready to pick up.

Brought the whole family here based upon other Unilocal reviews and have to say everyone was full and satisfied. Food was good, service quick, and servers pleasant. Will definitely come back.

The service was outstanding. Very friendly. Ordered broccoli beef and Mongolian chicken. The beef was a little off tasting broccoli was cooked perfect. Mongolian chicken didnt have many onions that im used to but was tasty. Not sure if I would go back here for the food but great service!

This is my favorite Chinese food restaurant in Salinas, my family and I have been eating here as long as I can remember. The food is great and the customer service is great as well, they’re super friendly. Good sized portions and good prices & if you go before 3 you can get the lunch specials!

Since I moved to salinas 2 years ago I had been looking for the best Chinese restaurant in town. When I finally came across this place I was amazed at how delicious their food was. I would go at least once a week that I become a regular. I even purchased food to go for a party of 12 and was well taken care of. The owner is so nice and so are the cooks! Love this place

China center has the best egg rolls and wonton soup i have tried in the monterey/​santa cruz county. Came here when i moved to Salinas and i will still drive back for their yummie food. The owners and their kids are super friendly and their prizez are very affordable. Always clean and fast service, encourage people to come

Seen this place has 4 stars on Unilocal so I thought I’d try it out. ThIs place was dirty and the food was awful.

My family has been looking for a good Chinese restaurant in the Monterey County. Thanks to the Unilocal,we discovered this restaurant today and really liked it. The food tasted fresh and the portions are generous. I hope we get a chance to go back again sometime.

I dont normally Unilocal about anything but today was a MUST! I was there earlier today with a friend. And i was sitting down facing the kitchen which keep in mind you can see everything in there. So as im staring at one of the chefs i see that hes just grabbing the food with his bare hands and putting it on the plate. As he was grabbing the fried prawns to put them in the plate he saw me then he put the prawns down and he kepts staring and staring at me the whole time. I did not eat i was soo disgusted and this man kept looking at me the whole time like he knew he did something wrong. NEVER AGAIN WILL I COME HERE.

I can’t say enough great things about this place. My family and I have been eating here for years. Service is great and we’re always greeted with a warm smile. They offer abundant and inexpensive portions. Everything is always fresh, flavorful and comes out fast. Off menu items are made upon request. I have to say I really like the shrimp fried rice and wor wonton soup. Nice chill place to have lunch or dinner.

One of my favorite places for some good Chinese food. Always fast service and food is always good. Price is good and place is pretty clean. Good family owned restaurant!

I visited this restaurant today because of some good reviews it had, BAD MISTAKE!
Vegetable chow mein was tasteless and soggy all the noodles were stuck together like a sticky ball. Sweet and sour pork was ok, nothing to rant about. Then charged extra when asked for hot sauce? First and last time I will eat here.

Seeing this restaurant and it’s location I wasn’t expecting much. We ordered potstickers and some beers (a safe bet usually frozen when served) and they were made from scratch; dough and all. Also came with a yummy vinaigrette sauce; not what I’m use to and the sauce made me want to lick my plate good. We ordered the rest of the meal to go;

Kung Po Chick
Broccoli beef
Hot sour soup
WOW very good and it survived the 1 hour drive home in really bad traffic and being reheated.
The chow Mein noodles made from scratch and tons of yummy stuff added.
The broccoli cooked crunchy and good and sauce was flavorful and not just a crap load of salt and soy.
Kung po home run for me sauce was not over powered by salt and soy. Tons of good veggies and cooked just right.
Did not try the soup tonight I will have for breakfast.
But have feeling will be having a great breakfast.
I love Chinese food and I am from Northern Cal and have been a frequent diner and chef shopper of SF China town. These folk are a gem.

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid, my family and I are regulars here. The service is always great and attentive. We always start of with the shrimp wonton soup, a must have! I usually get shrimp chow mein and vegetable fried rice. It’s family style so the plates are big enough to share! They also have combo plates that are very tasty that are not family style, if you don’t feel like sharing. Inexpensive and delicious, flavorful food.

This is the best Chinese restaurant in town. We have been coming here for 10+ years. The prices are amazing and you can’t complain about the portion size. You definitely have to try this place. My kids love Chinese food!

Best Chinese food I’ve had in Salinas! The food was plentiful and inexpensive, but the ingredients certainly were not. I ate the vegetable chow mein which had lots of bok choy (yum) and my fiancé had the «C» platter starting with wonton soup, then had sweet & sour pork, pork fried rice, broccoli beef & tempura fried prawns. All was delicious and cam out fast! Definitely recommend this restaurant!
