If I could I wouldn’t even rate 1 star… very disappointed in our local storage facility. I choose to go there simply because my work offers a discount according to our employee website… however this is FALSE advertising! The manager claims the discount is only valid on «specific» sizes and also only IF it is not the last of a size. Which that does not state on our advertisement. The manager insisted that’s what it says so I still rented a space there… when I went back to work and printed the ad it clearly does not state that… so I returned to speak with the manager Daniel and showed him the advertisement they are offering and he claimed it was wrong. Since I already had chosen to use the storage I asked if he was willing to honor what OUR ad says since that is what brought me to the business in the first place. He refused and said it was the mistake of my employer to misprint what he is offering and he would call immediately to have it corrected. Once again I stated its usual best business practice to honor what a clearly stated ad says especially since it’s being posted on my employers website(which happens to be one of the largest employers in our town) and to my shock he was very rude to blurt out that it was not his fault that the ad reads incorrectly it was the INCOMPETENCY of our employer! At that point I was in disbelief how unprofessional he was handling the matter and I let him know I will be moving my storage to another facility. He was quick to reply«oh you want to close out your storage I can do that for you…» Had I not been on my way to work I most definitely would have done so immediately. Frustrated I let him know I would notify my employer of his bad business ethic and recommend to have him removed from our list. Still he was quick to snap back at me saying I had no control of that it was not my(as a customer and employee) right to do so… frankly if I am the paying customer my rights have a lot of say on what business will and will NOT be brought your way. I left and posted my mishap on social media(FaceBook) and not to my surprise I got a lot of negative feedback in regards to this same facility… other co workers having the SAME interaction with the same manager Daniel. Why has no one bothered to report him is beyond me(probably the same reason I have waited to so long to do this review… mostly out of it not being worth my time) Low and behold here it is a week and a half later I checked my employer website and still NO change has been made on Security Public Storages behalf correcting what is supposedly stated to be wrong on the discount it «claims» to offer. Even though the manager Daniel said he would have that fixed right a way so I had no room to «argue» my claim… thank goodness for social media because without me posting this review here on Unilocal and other sites the poor customer service will most likely continue.

Had rented a smaller sized unit for 2 years, over 100 bucks a month, dont know if thats good or bad. but when i went to get all my furniture out yesterday, i noticed my almost new couch was covered in old looking water spots and mildew all over it. When i went to file a claim i had asked what the process was, they said they would have the owner call me. no answer, so i called him. He said he would call me back and he did. Claiming that he saw no leakage in the unit(which the unit had nothing but gaps in the ceiling and floor by the door and the fact it hasnt rained in months here) so i dont know how he would figure that out without a test. Plus its all metal siding so isn’t that stuff supposed to resist water rot and discoloration? i now know why their units have no lights inside, so you cant see your property until you get it out. Anyways, after that he said, insurance only covers water leakage, fire, theft.(I don’t know the difference between water leakage and water damage, i wish he explained it to me) He basically refused to submit it, I’m glad i got a copy of everything from his wife, it had the numbers and addresses to the insurance. I’ll submit it and also submit it to my insurance, my insurance will get the money. i mean, its only fair i trusted them to care for my property. I might as well threw a tarp over it and left it in my back yard, wouldve saved 100 bucks a month for 2 years and gotten the same results. Go somewhere else guys
