Stoked they have soccer golf now. Been playing here for years before it was First Tee. Wish they had a restaurant or some place to eat like they had before. And it would be nice if they brought back the golf carts. I have a few friends that are handicapped and it makes it really difficulty for them to keep up.

Enrolled the kiddos here for summer camp. I missed the early enrollment in May — 20% off the enrollment fee! Really great program this year for summer break. Field trips include Horse camp, Toro Park hiking, Bowling Alley in Salinas, Monterey Bay Aquarium, tennis and other fun activities set up aside from learning how to play golf! Will write another review after the kids are done based on their experience. FREEMEMBERSHIP if your elementary kid is enrolled in the Alisal School District! Otherwise, it’s $ 100-something. A great after-school program to take advantage of.

This has become a great facility for the children of our community. I see the outreach they are doing especially with lower income families and it warms my heart because this community definitely needs more and more programs that prevent gang involvement. I really feel like this is one of the«what’s right» with Salinas kind of activities that should really get more publicity and recognition. They have group golf lessons starting for kids at the age of 4. The summer camps are a fantastic value. The membership for kids allows access to lessons(excluding camps). The equipment is provided(at least at the lower levels.) My only constructive piece of advice would be the phone system. If you plan to call a lot, make notes of the extensions you want. When you call, it doesn’t go right to the pro shop. You always have to enter an extension. Just a minor thing, but it’s the only thing I’d change about the facility. The staff is very friendly and helpful and everyone has been great with my kid and the other kids as well from what I can tell in observing. My husband, however, is grumpy because he feels like the course is too directed towards kids(security etc.) which is great if you are a parent leaving your child, but if you are just a golfer trying to hit a bucket at the end of the day or want to get in a quick nine holes, it’s not always easy to get in with all the security and kids activities going on for kids. As a grown up if you are looking for a place to play golf, give them a call before going to make sure you can play.
