Long waits for mediocre burgers. Coworkers always suffer from intestinal, digestive distress from any and all menu items. I hope the zombies and panhandlers outside the building know better than to patronize this establishment. Instead of courtesy cones they should offer Mylanta or Rolaids.

Two words: Courtesy Cone My partner and I went to the drive-thru or order a milkshake and fries. Came up to the window and the girl took our money. She gave us the milkshake and said that the fries will take a little bit longer because they had to make a new batch. That was not a problem because these things happen and I rather have fresh fries than stale fries also we only waited an additional 2 minutes. While we waited, she asked us if we wanted two courtesy cones. Not knowing what these are, I blurted out«yes». She asked us what flavors we wanted and I thought it must be an ice cream on a cone of some sorts and I said we wanted chocolate. She handed us to little bite size ice cream cones(it took us about 5 bites to eat the whole thing including the cone.) Wow! Name me another place that does this. Kudos to you Arctic Circle on North Temple!

Artic Circle is just the same now as it was in the 70’s and 80’s, and since I just moved back to Utah after 17 years, it’s nice to see it the same. I live very close to one, which is dangerous since I love their shakes. So far, I’ve only eaten one meal(The Ranchburger) and it was just like I remembered it all those years ago. A decent burger etc. The service was good and I’m sure I will go back again.

I know it’s stereo typical of Unilocal reviews to be overly negative, but I kind of have to share my experience at this restaurant. I had just gotten back from a BYU vs. Hawaii game at the Jazz center, and me and my roommate wanted to get something to eat. I loved the arctic circle in Orem, so I thought this one would be good. To be brief, I waited half an hour for a party and burger that looked like something out of an elementary school cafeteria. They were understaffed, and the organization just seemed off. This was the first time I had ever asked for a refund for a fast food restaurant.

In between SLC’s airport and downtown, there is a barren wasteland of chain restaurants, a light rail system, and a bunch of very interesting folks wandering around. I call them SLC Zombies. Some dance, some are very social, and some are just downright creepy. These zombies wander around businesses in search of brains or whatever. Anyways, I was determined to get a Chocolate Malt at Arctic Circle; because if you want a frozen treat, well duh. The zombies were determined to keep my from the glowing beacon of frozen dessert happiness. There was only about fifteen feet between me and the door, I ran as fast as I could to find even more zombies inside. The Arctic Circle is truly a location worthy of any zombie’s love, the building falling apart at the seams. The exterior patched with metal squares where there are rusted holes. The dining area covered in a film of fryer grease glowing in a dim yellow flickering light. Quickly, I placed my order and dodged zombies in the dining area; by continuously moving left and right to get out of their way and scare them off with my nasty obnoxious facial scenes. Similar to the way I was taught to run from gators that were chasing me, because they can only run in a straight line. I grabbed my choco-malt and dashed back into the car at high speed. Then, sat in the locked vehicle as the zombies swaggered around looking inside the car, eating the delicious salty-malty treat. Come here if you like dessert and tweaking zombies.

Staff always enthusiastic and place looks very clean. Every meal I have had here has been of very high quality for fast food. They bring the food to your table for you and even come back to ask if you need anything else. Their menu items are different then you will find at other fast food chains so if you’re looking for something a bit different you will be able to get it here. They always offer coupons that will help keep your costs down. Use these coupons! I could never give a fast food restaurant 5 stars but this place almost got it. My main reason for not doing so is the soda selection is horrible. They have Dr. Pepper just not diet. Places like Burger King and Taco Time have those hundred selection machines that draw me in back home. This place was a good find while in town.

Over the last 4 days I have been here three times. Not because I particularly love arctic circle. But because it is the closest food joint to the trax station, and I know I can be in and out with my food in less than 10 minutes. Which incidentally is important when you are located next to mass transit. So the place looks like it hasn’t had an upgrade in twenty pus years. Because of this it looks run-down and dirty. I noticed on these several visits that everything is clean including the ceiling vents,(which are dirty min more than half of the restaurants I visit.) I just feels dirty if that makes sense. The food is typical fast food fair. Nothing fancy in any way, but it feels your stomach and doesn’t empty your wallet. I am not saying the food doesn’t taste good because it does. It just isn’t special. The bright point at this place is the staff. They are always very friendly. Everyone I have met there seems to genuinely care about your experience. If I didn’t know better I would think that every employee I have met at this place was the owner. They care that much. One thing I noticed about this place is that they give away free ice cream to anyone who asks. Every time I have been here in the last week Usually between noon and 4:00 p.m.) I have seen at least 2 people come in off the street and demand a «courtesy cone.» This is a small ice cream cone you can eat it 2 bites. Personally I think it is rude of someone to demand anything for free at a business. If they are not purchasing something else. But the employees just smile and serve these«beggars» like any one else. All in all a good place to stop and fill your tummy fast. If you don’t mid the seedy freeloaders coming in every minute or two for free ice cream.

Come here all the time for shakes and other deserts. I have had there other menu items a few times too. I like that they will allow you to mix and match shake flavors. In fact I never just get a single flavor anymore. They have really great service and it seems like they really care about your experience. The drive through is always fast.

Decent burgers made to order. Good shakes and malts. Good onion rings for cheap and the Rickeys are always a good idea. Hint: I have them make my Rickey with Mtn. Dew instead of Sierra Mist.

Drive thru is super slow, gezzus, waay slow! The chicken sandwich is bland and dry, even tho sauce was on there. The halibut sandwich was the same way. Fries were bland. Only thing decent was tater tots. Pass keep driving.

Delicious food, great fry sauce, yes the burgers were slow but we did come late and there is a difference between making food fast and making food right!

Part III of the SLC series. After having Crown Burgers, I wanted to try the burgers at the birthplace of the Fry Sauce. Fail. It wasn’t much better than McD’s. Fries were decent though. Extra star because they give you a small bite-size thing of ice cream while you wait at the drive-thru.

A friend recommended I try the lime freeze after I talked about remembering lime freezes at Steak n Shake when I was a kid. I stopped in here for one. Although different from the one’s of my childhood, was still tasty. Fresh lime was used, although really could have had more. It did take a long time to make, and it seems like others in the place were waiting for their food a long time. But I was only in for the shake.

This is one of the worst fast food I ever had. We were in a hurry driving to Yellowstone and we wanted to try something we don’t have back home. I decided at last minute to try this famous«fry sauce» I heard about on the internet. What the mistake! My GF and I both can not finish the burgers. They were terrible. The fries was ok, and the«fry sauce» was not bad but no big deal. We wasted our precious time and $ 10 for nothing.
