Breeze – Foothills

Huge thumbs up. As others have mentioned, their location is very convenient if you’re coming from Salt Lake City proper, and they have good pricing and discount lift tickets. We used them for our 3-​day trip in 2010.
But «Brenton» really earned the 5 star rating for Breeze this year (2011). I called the shop on Nov. 16^th to check their rates and hours, because we were flying into SLC on Thursday Nov. 17^th and wanted to get our skis after we landed. Brenton told us that they didn’t open for the season until Saturday Nov. 19^th, and I said «Oh, that’s not good. We’re flying in tomorrow.»
Brenton told us that he’d open the shop early to rent us our skis. He said he lived nearby and would be working at one of Breeze’s other locations earlier, so he’d just wait for us to call and then open up for us.
After we landed and rented our car I called Brenton, and he was there in 20 minutes. He was very patient with my 7-​yr-​old kid, including trying out a dozen different helmets to make sure he was fitted properly.
I can’t remember another time that a retail employee (e.g. not an owner or manager), was willing to make special trip to accommodate one customer for a $ 30 youth rental package. But it’ll pay off, because we’ll tell others about Breeze, and we’ll be back next year.

I just came back from a week long ski vacation and if you’re looking to rent some skis, this is the place to go.
They’re conveniently located close to where I-​80 and I-​215 diverge, thus giving you easy access to either Park City or the canyons.
Their rental prices are quite reasonable. They were among the cheapest that I could find on-​line.
AND they have good deals on lift tickets as well. Some of the discounts were close to $ 20 off!
Going here was our daily ritual. We had people coming and going throughout the week, so we were frequently picking up or dropping off skis. Plus, we’d check out the weather report and then decide on the day-​of where to ski. We’d swing by Breeze, get our lift tickets and go on our way.
Top it all off with a super friendly staff!
I have nothing bad to say about this place.
Oh, and make sure you reserve your skis online. That’s how you get their best prices. I don’t think they’ll give you that 20 or 30% discount unless you booked online.
