I get general tsos and ham fried rice, and love it. This is, far and beyond, my favorite Chinese I’ve ever had. They moved locations a while ago, and I lost track of them; I thought they’d gone out of business, it was a huge blow. Ever since then I’ve tried every hole in the wall Chinese restaurant I could find, trying to find anywhere that makes general tsos with the perfect touch that China delight did. The closest I found was Jasmine across town. I moved to another state, and tried every place I could find, nothing compared. Then one day I realized that I might have been mistaken, and I looked up the area on Unilocal.I didn’t remember the name at that point, so I wasn’t sure if I’d actually found it; but the next time I visited town, I made it my first stop after the airport. While I was ordering, I asked if they’d moved — they said they had, nearly ten years ago. And I asked whether they had ever changed their recipe — they said, in no uncertain words, that they had not. I was ecstatic, I’m crying as I write this(edit: which I think was probably because my emotions were out of wack), I finally found the place I missed! Please please please never let this amazing restaurant go out of business. As a crude summary of what I like, they get the sauce just the right mix of sweet, dark, and spicy, and they use good meat. I think it’s still«cheap» food, technically, but they know exactly how to make that amazing. It’s a little more than, say, panda, but it’s totally worth it imo.

The portions are small and have the min amount of meat possible. I know Panda Express is a better deal a quality.

Surprisingly good Americanized Chinese food. Fresh, made to order, with good quality ingredients and it was spicy as I asked for it. It was a little too sweet but that is par for the course. Overall I was pleasantly surprised, went in expecting average and got much better than that.

I like that this place has delivery. But I wish they knew how to make soup. Today I ordered special wonton, at first glance I saw plenty of fresh broccoli, mushrooms, and peas, but then I noticed a quarter inch layer of grease which is a shame because it had the ingredients to be amazing but a truly awful base. I then tried to salvage the soup by skimming off said grease when I found a super long black hair. At this point I gave up.

Meh. Wasn’t too impressed. I ordered a lunch special. The total with tax came to $ 7.50. I ordered the lemon chicken and the sauce was completely tasteless. The amount of rice I got was just puny. It wasn’t terrible food though. The chicken itself was ok, just the sauce was tasteless, I dipped my chicken in the sweet and sour sauce they gave me for my spring rolls and the sweet and sour sauce was pretty good. If I had to go out of my way to go here I probably wouldn’t go again, but since it’s like a 2 minute drive from where I live. I might go again if I wanted Chinese food and didn’t want to make it or drive anywhere. I’d recommend Panda Express before I’d recommend this place.

Bland… bland… bland! Also, not fresh… had to add salt to everything. Plus, all the condiments are hidden by the register, like soy sauce, salt and pepper. They charge extra for soup on their lunch special and it is thick and flavorless. It is next to a gas station so I was hoping for a hidden gem dive… but I just got a dive.

I guess I am a little puzzled by some of these lower star reviews. I have been coming here 2 – 3 times a month for the last year or so and I have always been pleased. The dining room is very clean, the family has always been pleasant with me, and I am rarely dissatisfied with the food. This place reminds me of a traditional Americanized Chinese Restaurant from the 80 – 90’s(my teenage & early adult years) that has started freshening up their menu to be more in line with a Panda Express experience. They have similar menu items to a Panda, with some traditional standbys. They cook my meals fresh so it is always hot, and the sauces are not getting thick and clumpy. Occasionally the chicken breading gets a little soggy tasting but I think that’s because I save my favorite for last and it has sat in that sauce awhile at that point. I enjoy eating here and intend to do so until I no longer work in the area. Good price, good people, good experience.

Went during lunch and got in and out quickly. pleasant staff. I had the orange chicken and fried rice and egg roll. The egg roll was great. The other food was rather bland. It was cooked very well but not kick to the orange chicken at all. if I worked in this area i might go back but probably not. the other folks that went with me had similar food taste issue. just need more kick to the food.

Don’t go here!!! HORRIBLEFOOD! I ordered general tsos chicken-a popular dish, it had a red pepper next to it, just to make sure I asked if it was spicy, she assured me it was. Got home and it was NOT spicy-like even a little bit. Also had veg fried rice and it was complete mush. The breading on the chicken was also mush, like nothing ive ever had-and not in a good way. I ate a few bites of both the chicken and the rice and feel incredibly sick-17 bucks later. Thanks for nothing!

My favorite Chinese food in all of SLC. Been ordering take out or delivery for 10 years, even when it was in its previous location. The main lady there is just awesome with service, and she even remembers what my family likes everytime. Everything we have tried has been quality and delicious. I love the Cashew Chicken. My parents love the short ribs. The rice is to die for. The sweet and sour and lemon cickens are well made. I recommend this place.

China Delight is a Rose Park classic. Good menu, great cooking, always prompt and friendly service. I dig the mixed vegetables, Mushu tofu, sweet an sour chicken, and the lo mein.

The lo mien is decent. I think I’ve had the orange chicken here but I cant be sure. Goes to show how memorable it was. Just got the teryaki chicken with white rice. Its OK. The chicken is pretty dry I’ve almost choked on it twice. Meh. I guess if you feel like changing it up and are in the area, this place is OK.

Nothing special but not bad. Pretty big portions. Ordered delivery and got the food in within half an hour.
