This place is great. Fast service. I am only marking down a star because the coffee is just average. The Potato Skillet is absolutely amazing, as is their biscuits and gravy. This is our go-to breakfast place in SLC. Expect a wait anytime after 9am.

This place is so conveniently located in sugar house. Their blintzes are no doubt my favorite. While yes, this place tends to be a hot spot and can be somewhat crowded I like to think of that in a positive manner. The staff always have smiles on their faces even through all the hustle. I love that they serve coffee in mismatched mugs of all sorts and the laid back environment.

Absolute favorite breakfast spot. Always have great service and although it may take a bit to get seated some days it’s worth the wait!

Finding blintzes in Salt Lake is a challenge. This is one of the few places which has them. They are generally quite good if you are the type who likes cheese blintzes with a generous amount of bananas and berries. Last week they came with large dollops of whipped cream. Huh? Server must have noticed our puzzlement and acknowleged the lack of sour cream. Hope this isn’t a trend. When we have tried other things we have been satisfied but not ecstatic. So having the blintzes stay respectable is important to us. This place can be very crowded but we had the place almost to ourselves right after opening on a weekday. Service generally cheery and efficient.

I live very close to this place, so I have been there quite a few times. It’s so unbelievable overrated. Seriously, I’d take a breakfast sandwich from Starbucks than wait to eat here. The food is typically undercooked and the service is pretty bad. I can’t even tell you how many times our waiter has forgotten about us. Yes, they are very busy, but so is Blue Plate and that has never happened to me there. I will say that the employees are always very kind and apologetic when something goes wrong. Review from my 8 year old: they have the best food ever but their que is too long!

I have been in slc for two months and love breakfast. Bc of this I’m trying to try different places; however, when I wake up and think where do I want to go? Eggs In the City is mind wanders. So good. But get there early cause it can fill up fast.

Walked in about 1:10pm New Year’s Day, lady at the counter said estimate wait time was 15min got seated about 40 – 45 min later. Server seemed rushed while ordering she took the menu from me even though I wasn’t done ordering. The food was good I ordered the create your own omelet my boyfriend ordered the create your own burrito we were both satisfied with our food.

This place had great eggs Benedict tasted some lemon in the hollandaise sauce and had a nice bite to it. Also ordered the Mexican skillet and it was also a hit. Service was so on the ball and great. Waters didn’t go unfilled, empty plates weren’t there very long, extra napkins followed shortly after the meals came out. Need to for sure come back when in the area.

Cool place, tried it for the first time. Everything was good, bacon was a little too crisp. I asked for extra crispy potatoes, they were not able to get that for me. Eggs Benedict with crab was yummy.

Such a cute little place for breakfast or lunch or brunch! There isn’t much parking in the parking lot but there is tons of street parking on the side so just be prepared to park on the street. Also be prepared to wait if you are going there for Sunday brunch. They don’t have a lot of tables but they try to turn them as quickly as possible. If you are more than a party of 6 you may have a lot of trouble. I got the macho style which is eggs on a tortilla with avocacdo, beans, sour cream, pico de gallo and lots of other things that I cannot remember. Their potatoes are to die for. They were probably my favorite part of my breakfast. I don’t drink coffee but my friends who are very picky about their coffee said that the coffee was amazing which is high praise coming from them. All of my friends enjoyed their meals. Next time I may go with one of the breakfast skillets, they looked so good and I cannot get enough of the breakfast potatoes! Even though we waited a long time for a table the service inside was quick. If we weren’t so hungry we probably would have been annoyed at how brisk our server was but that was because we all had the same thought process«get them seated and get them food». They are probably less brisk if there are fewer people waiting for tables! At least I hope they are.

Went there on a Friday morning for breakfast with my girls! It was busy!!! We were quickly seated in the bar table area and they took our order pretty fast! 1 of the girls got a Greek skillet the other did the Mexican skillet and they both LOVED their meals! I chose the Eggs Benedict florentine and added crab and avocado! Oh my goodness… it was dreamy! Every bite was spectacular and then for my side I had a pancake! It was such a great meal, great atmosphere and we’ll definitely be back! If you haven’t tried this place this is a MUSTGO!

Eggs in the city is like the little brother of the Park Café. If you can’t get in the park café, you go to Eggs in the city, if you can’t get into Eggs in the city; you missed out a really good brunch! Eggs is in the city, is a very comforting small restaurant ran by a very lovely women and her humble son! Decorations inside is very awesome! Must Try this place

After reading the reviews, I really wanted to try this place. Unfortunately, I never got chance, since my server forgot about me. I wouldn’t have written a review, but I just didn’t get a very good feel about the place. It was more than being forgotten… the energy at Eggs was underwhelming. At first, everything seemed fine. As soon as I walked in, I asked one of the expediter/bussers if there was a table with an outlet since my battery for my laptop was nearly dead. The person who was to be my server ran over and helped me find a plug for my computer. He was helpful and attentive, setting me up and taking my drink order. When arrived at Eggs, there was only one table occupied, but soon more people came in. As my computer booted, I read the menu and had decided what I wanted pretty quickly. The servers were at their station talking, which didn’t bother me(but that’s when I started to get a bad feeling). More people came in, eventually filling the patio. The servers took menus out to the new customers. I was working on my computer and didn’t think anything about it, until a couple of minutes later. I looked out at the patio and saw that the servers were taking orders. I knew that once I did say something to my server, it would have been too late. My order would have taken a half hour, which I didn’t have, so I closed up my computer, left a dollar for my server’s trouble and went on my way. Unfortunately, I ended up at the Corner Bakery Café… absolutely awful croissant sandwich. The breakfast gods were not with me on this particular Sunday morning in Mormonville.

This breakfast spot always gets it right. I’ve had several menu items & haven’t had anything I don’t like here. They are also willing to modify the menu if you prefer something that’s not listed. The staff are friendly and treat everyone like family too!

Such a delicious breakfast! I’m a sucker for eggs benedict, and theirs was high up there on my list of favorites. They were busy for a Friday brunch, but luckily there was space inside to eat because we couldn’t take the heat outside(out of owners, hello!). Glad we found this on Unilocal, because if we were ever back in SLC, this is the place to go for a good meal.

Oh man, I haven’t been so pleased with a breakfast plate in so long! I went with the eggs benedict, AMAZING. I was very, very impressed! The poached egg and hollandaise sauce were both perfect. They even had an option to add crab which I will definitely try next time. You get a choice for 1 side and I went with the delectable breakfast potatoes. Cute little setting with outdoor seating. I guess I went on a good day because the service wasn’t too bad, other than the cashier being slow.

I went back and forth between giving a three or four star rating. To be fair, I think Eggs is a three and a half for me, but I want to try them again. The Pros: cool ambiance, outdoor seating, super delicious French toast, reasonable prices. The Cons: got our orders wrong, were so busy they didn’t really come back by our table, so even if we’d WANTED to send our food back we couldn’t have, undercooked pancake. I felt like any missteps that occurred today were due to their being extremely busy, which is why I want to give them another chance. I ordered the Goldilocks and asked for breakfast potatoes but got a pancake instead and also the French Toast with blueberries. You can probably understand why I didn’t really want a pancake, and I was disappointed to find it was still a bit runny. I could tell it would have been an otherwise really good pancake, though. My friend ordered the Mr. Big with french toast and liked everything except for the eggs, which he ordered to be over easy and were over hard(pretty big discrepancy there). He said the coffee was fine, and they did give him a cup to go since we got up to leave before they could refill his mug at the table. Restaurants have off days, and I understand that. Plus they were REALLY hopping today for brunch. I wish our server could have been a little more attentive, but that was more an indication of being understaffed.

Large portions, tasty food. I would return. I enjoyed a scramble with sausage, peppers, onions, etc. A big portion of potatoes came as a side. Freshly brewed iced tea was not a drink option, unfortunately.

Been here a few times and always leave super happy, and with a food coma. They have a BYOO option(build your own omelet) which is awesome because you choose exactly what goes in it. You pick your meat, cheese, veggies, and voila– you are presented with a delicious omelet. Their house potatoes are also really good and slightly seasoned. I tried some of my friend’s biscuits and gravy and it kicked my omelet’s ass. Don’t get me wrong I loved my omelet, but get the biscuits and gravy! The gravy is amazing and the biscuits were super fluffy and delicious. Everything on their menu sounds really good, can’t wait to go back and try more.
