I like this spot, one of the last cigar shops that has that old time feel. The guy behind the counter was exceptionally friendly and it was nice to see two small little dogs hanging out. The prices for cigarettes are reasonable but you’ll pay a little more for the exotic selection of tobacco. All in all I enjoyed my visit, the dogs and the conversation with the counter guy.

My friend wanted to know the ropes of rolling her own cigarettes. I needed to fill up also. We came here and there was a sign in front: organic tobacco 5.99/oz. We went in and immediately asked him about the sign. He brings out two big bags of organic tobacco leaves, one bag American one bag Canadian. FULLLEAVES! He let us sniff and feel the tobacco, it was still fresh and not drying up at all. We decided that’s what we want and go to the back and get to shred our leaves. Roll this with raw rolling papers and i don’t think there is a more pure way to smoke. AWESOME. P. S. Tobacco doesn’t actually stink, it sort of smells like hay. Most stink because of all of the gunk that’s thrown in. Pesticide and additive free. The experience is a longer buzz and a cleaner taste.

We went to three different shops around Salt Lake looking for items necessary to roll our own cigarettes and we finally came upon Jeannie’s Smoke Shop. The first two places were completely useless and the people in the shop either didn’t speak English or had no idea what we were talking about when we said we needed filters for rolling our own cigarettes. Isn’t this one of the most basic things one could request? The man behind the counter at Jeannie’s was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about everything in the shop. He offered suggestions on types of tobacco and gave a bit of a history lesson on the shop and the tobacco for sale in the shop. There are tons of options for everyone’s smoking pleasure within the walls of Jeannie’s Smoke Shop and most of it isn’t expensive. We got what we needed and then some for less than $ 5. The shop has been around for decades and they definitely know what they’re doing there. We won’t be going anywhere else for what we need.

I’m a cigar smoker. I was pleased to stumble upon this shop while in the slc downtown area. I don’t they have a big web presence… The shops I found with my google search don’t have close to this selection. This is what I like in a shop, that kid in a candy store feel. I’m from Miami… and from My perspective, this city might be the worst place on the planet to be a cigar smoker, but at least this place is keeping the torch lit.

OK, this place is really classy and cool. I’m not a smoker. But my friend is and he just wanted some cigarettes. He ended up leaving with cigars, a bag of rolling tobacco, papers and a rolling machine. I almost thought about taking up smoking. They have a humidor. The sales staff is really intense in a good way. They know everything and take some true pride in what they do. I wish every politician worked with the same vigor as these guys. If you’re a smoker, or just into a cool shopping experience come to Jeannie’s Smoke Shop. It’s a Salt Lake land mark and has been here for over 50 years. It’s sign outside looks like vintage Vegas and it’s in the heart of downtown. So stop being a loser and start smoking!

Probably one of the best smoke shops Ive been in. They have a really great selection of cigars and there staff is beyond helpful and you can tell they have a passion for what they do. The Guy behind the counter could have talked to us for hours about cigars and pipes.

The best in Utah… but I believe they finally threw in the towel on cigars in the face of the state’s tax policy. Still… a legendary place worth a visit.

This is one of the best tobacco shops in Salt Lake. Large selection of cigarettes, cigars and pipes and accessories. Went in here to buy my first pipe. The man behind the counter was extremely knowledgeable and gave me a mini-lesson on how to fill and use a pipe. Highly recommended!
