My husband and I have been going to this restaurant since 1998. They have always had wonderful food. And we go there at least three or four times a year. We really enjoy their food and love going to their restaurant. We will return again and again and again.

Went there for dinner with a party of 5. This is the second time here and we like this place. Was told about this place by a concierge at the Marriott. It was a good recommendation back then so we came back. Seems like this place is never busy, we were there on a Wednesday around 6:30 pm and the place was probably 75% empty. This was close to what I remember from the last visit. I like the food here. The pasta is good and the overall consensus from the group is that they all like the food as well. Had the calamari and caprese appetizers. The bread was good but wished they would have brought more or at least asked if we wanted more. I had the linguine alle vongole. I thought it was a little salty, nice little kick but wished the clams were a little meatier. Seemed like a mix of chopped clams and small, almost tiny, whole clams. Service was good and the server realized we were from the same place her mother lived which was nice for her to share. I hope this place stays open and it is just a case where we go there on days which are not typically busy. The mall it is in could contribute reason why it is a little slow, the entrance to the place can be a little tricky to find but when you find it, I think you will find a decent meal. Go Hawks

Menu is extensive and the service feels authentic. The wine list for reds has only one medium body red. All the rest were dry, which was somewhat disappointing. When we asked to taste the one red we thought we might like the waiter scoffed and said they don’t allow tastings. When he saw the shock on our faces he reluctantly and rudely relented, then literally snatched the menu from my hand and left. We did taste the wine and we ended up getting 3 glasses of it but it was quite dry as well. Otherwise it was noisy and not at all cozy.

Tucci’s is a wonderful place to eat, and especially on Christmas! We have visited on Christmas Day two years in a row, and had an amazing experience both times. We kind of went all out and had 5 courses … I know, I know, but it’s that good. Our Christmas lunch started out with amazing freshly made bread with olive oil and balsamic — very authentic. And of course, two glasses of wine! We then got the Fonduta which was fantastic. I loved that it contained fresh herbs which really gave it that extra pick. The tomato bisque is a MUST. We got it last year and were amazed at how rich the flavor was, and were not disappointed this year when we got it again. For our main course, my husband got the veal osso bucco and I got the New Zealand lamb chops. Just wow to both although I have to say that the veal stole the show. It was so tender, and a very generous portion. Finally for dessert, we had to try the fresh cannoli. By this point I thought my stomach was about to explode haha but it was so tasty I managed to eat a pretty good amount of it. I’m glad we got it! To sum up, Tucci’s is a wonderful Italian restaurant. The service is very good and everyone is so friendly, and the food is simply superb! We recently moved closer to Tucci’s so expect to see us more often!

Sorry people, I can’t agree with your 4 star reviews of this place. I came down from Snowbird with my family one night specifically to try this place as we have seen it when we come to Trolley Square. There is just so much improvement this place needs, I could write volumes on it. One of the biggest problems I see is with the wait staff. They are not properly trained and because of that, the whole evening suffers. So upon entering, the décor of the room seems nice enough and we were seated right away.(It could do without the saran wrap covered sample plates on the table by the hostess stand) We sat down, got menus and ordered some drinks. There were 5 people in our party and we all ordered some sort of drink, but it shouldn’t have over burdened the staff. My wife ordered a Campari and soda, the waitress(who also appeared to be the part time bartender) says, «I’ve never heard of that» and shut that one down. She goes off to the bar to fix drinks. Lemon drop cocktail comes out delivered by a different server who says he is the lemon drop specialist. So be it. The other drinks come out about 20 minutes later(served by our waitress/bartender) along with another lemon drop and she seems confused as to why. So are we. OK, so then when we order dinner, I say that before our main course comes to the table, we want to order a pizza as an appetizer(as we sometimes do at Italian restaurants). The waitress says, «if you order a pizza, it will come to the table with everything else.» Really, how difficult is it to stagger delivery? Anyway, shot down again. So we ordered without the pizza and I ordered a bottle of wine for dinner. The food comes out, everyone seems moderately satisfied, but my veal marsala was the strangest cut I ever had with a marsala. In my mind the veal should be a cutlet, but this was like a cut from a veal roast. Couldn’t even tell if it was veal as it tasted like beef and was overcooked and dry. So I see the bottle of wine come up and the waiter(who is being trained by our waitress(I am making the sign of the cross)) is opening the bottle over in a corner away form the table. He comes to the table and I tell him that he is supposed to show me the bottle before he opens it so that I know it’s the right bottle. He gives me an incredulous look and says«Really?» He then shows me the open bottle and ask if it is the right wine. It is and he is going to start pouring to others at the table. I then have to instruct him in proper wine etiquette letting him that I should taste it first, then if I approve it, he serves the others and then I get served last. Another incredulous«Really?» Didn’t give dessert a try so can’t comment on that. Anyway, I have spent way too much time on this review. I can only sum it up and say for my money, Spaghetti Factory or Buco de Bepo is a better experience. Sorry Papa Tucci, you need a stronger management team there to train your staff.

I love this place. Papa Tucci is wonderful. If you get lucky you will get to hear him sing. The arrezio is amazing. If you are looking for a great date night, this is a great place to go.

Great for groups! I was here for a friend’s birthday party on a Wednesday night. Our group of 20+ people had an area of the restaurant to ourselves and everyone was seated comfortably. The restaurant is dimly lit and gives off a cozy feeling. The staff was as attentive as they could be for a group and Papa Tucci was even present to serve food. The rolls and salad served before the meal were standard and pretty good. The lasagna came out on a large tray to be served family style. It was well-cooked and seasoned perfectly; I couldn’t stop eating it! I tried the Pizza Margarita, Pesto Pollo Pizza, and the Tradizionale Pizza and thought they were all fine; nothing sensational but not bad. I definitely preferred the lasagna. Overall, this restaurant works well for large groups of people as the space can accommodate for groups and no one could really hate the food; it’s comfort food! This would be a fun place for company dinners.

As a native New Yorker, I had to try this place out. I was not disappointed. I had the veal parmesan. The Arrezio pasta was different, but a nice change from your common fare. The bread is also different, a wheat, grainy loaf, but also a nice departure from common plain white bread. The veal was really tender and had a good flavor(sorry baby cows but you’re delicious). As far as the portion size goes, this is quality over quantity. It wasn’t enormous, but I was more than full when finished. That being said, for 19.99, I would go the extra mile and put a little more on there for take home. What I really enjoyed was the cannoli. Good god, it hit the spot just right. Presentation was good, while they usually serve them two at a time, one was more than enough. Why not 5 stars: It didn’t blow me away. For me, it’s about authenticity. The owner is Eastern European, not Italian, which isn’t a huge deal, but I’m something of a purist with this sort of thing. I didn’t feel like I had taken a trip to Italy, which some places are really capable of doing.

The calamari was excellent, not heavily seasoned or breaded. The pastas was a delight for our whole table. In addition Pappa Tucchi waited on us. He was very friendly and helpful.

A group of friends and I decided to dine out at Tucci’s last night. The staff is great, very friendly and attentive. Our meals came out quickly and the food was delicious, as usual! The Con Pollo plate I ordered had tasty grilled chicken, Italian sausage, and alfredo sauce. The price was reasonable for the portion and taste. A worker came to our table nearing the end of our meal and asked if there was a special occasion. He deemed getting together with friends a special enough occasion to sing an Italian song. Beautiful voice! Everyone in the restaurant applauded. I would recommend Tucci’s to anyone who loves a good meal at a restaurant with a warm and welcoming environment. Better than Olive Garden and Macaroni Grill.

I was not impressed by my first experience at Tucci’s Cucina Italiana. We ate here for a family dinner a few weeks ago and no one seemed particular impressed with the food. I ordered the pork chop at the recommendation of our server and it was one of the worst chops I’ve ever had. The pork was overcooked and had a very smoky flavor, which I didn’t care for. The sauce on the pork chop was also not very good. On the side I had a spinach salad that was also disappointing. I only ate a few bites of my meal, it was that bad. Two people in our party ordered salmon and both dishes were undercooked. They had to send them back to the kitchen to be cooked more. Our server apologized halfheartedly but made no efforts to compensate us for the inconvenience. I won’t be going back to Tucci’s Cucina Italiana if I can help it. What a disappointment. Not sure how a restaurant stays in business with problems like this…

I love this place! So does my husband, my mother, and mother-in-law. Every time they visit from California they insist on visiting. Everything we have had there is delicious! Last time I had the Pollo Parmigiana, and it was delightful. Flavorful, rich, the chicken was cooked to perfection. The desserts are phenomenal as well. We had the turtle cheesecake, and it is one of the best cheesecakes I have had. To top it all off, the service is exceptional. They are always so friendly and welcoming. Our server was a sweetheart and the man who greeted us and said goodbye is always so friendly and charming. The prices are very reasonable as well. Comparable prices to Olive Garden or Macaroni grill but leaps and bounds higher in quality. We love this place and will continue to eat here.

Not bad, but far from great. I haven’t been to this place in years and I must say it hasn’t changed at all(maybe that’s what’s needed). The food is good, but far from amazing… The service is adequate, but from from spectacular & the place needs a make-over something fierce.

It was a dark, stormy, Thanksgiving night. Ok, it wasn’t stormy. Or even particularly dark. But it *was* Thanksgiving. And I was stuck in a hotel in a strange city with my dog. And no one would serve me dinner to go. I get it. I worked in the service industry for years. But when someone calls you on Thanksgiving, and asks for a *single* to-go meal, on Thanksgiving, and you say no, on Thanksgiving, and you’re not even particularly nice about it, on Thanksgiving… well… There are no words. Tucci’s was the 9th place I called, and not only was Rachel incredibly nice on the phone, but she recommended an excellent dessert(the apple tart) and made me feel not completely alone on a major holiday. I also had the caprese salad(good, but I would have liked a little more mozzarella… mostly because I can eat my weight in mozzarella) and the lamb chops(*very* good, and served with risotto and grilled squash). And this might not seem like a big deal, but everything was also packaged well — the potentially wet and leaky things were wrapped in extra plastic, and everything made it back to the hotel in perfect shape. I was so pleased with my meal that I actually took time out from eating to call and talk to the manager to thank them for the wonderful service I got. So thank you, Tucci’s…for giving me a happy Thanksgiving.

Tucci’s, across the street from Whole Foods on 7th East, looks sort of like it should be in trolley square — a family-friendly Italian restaurant with a massive façade, approachable logo, and huge menu. But look a little deeper and you see something more than the Olive Garden ordinary. First, Tucci’s has a full bar(very nice) and a decent wine and cocktail list. So while there might be something for kiddo’s to eat, it’s not just for family feasts. Second, the staff is very friendly. Maybe our waiter was even a bit _too_friendly, with his near constant big smile, his«thank yous» every time he saw us, and his repeat visits to our table to see how the food was. Of course, over-friendly beats under-friendly every time, but we were beginning to wonder how authentic the friendliness could be. Third, the menu is full of interesting dishes, like the«Lucia» my wife ordered(Salmon pasta with pinenuts and tomatoes in a tomato cream cause) and the Gratino(an über-eggy, Italian warm custard dish with toasted almonds and caramel). Fourth, they have outdoor seating on a fairly nice patio, even though it may front noisy 7th East. So why only 3 stars? While my wife’s Lucia was really tasty, my Penne Alle Vodka(italian Sausage with peppers over penne pasta and in a «spicy tomato vodka sauce») was pretty much just sausage and peppers over pasta. There didn’t seem to be much of a «spicy tomato vodka sauce» at all, but rather just oodles and oodles of(not noodles, but) what looked like sausage oil as the sauce. I am a hungry guy, but I couldn’t finish the pasta covered in all that grease. Their side salads, served as appetizers, were a really great size, and had a nice balance of different greens, but I felt mine were wilted(maybe the dressing had just been applied too early?). The wife didn’t agree. Also, our server put fresh ground pepper on the salads. But the pepper mill was set way too coursely, resulting in a «peppercorn dump» on the salad. I could hardly taste anything but pepper, and I had just a few seconds’ worth of grinding. Once again, the wife didn’t agree with me, but it seemed offputting. Maybe it’s just because no starter salad can be as good as Cannella’s down the street. Rather than crusty, dense, Italian-style bread, Tucci’s serves«rustic» Italian loaves. Great that they’re served hot, but when the loaves are cut, they’re smashed down. And they just sort of taste like run of the mill wheat bread to me. I probably ordered poorly, and none of my other gripes would seriously stop me from trying them again(which we probably will — their brunch menu looks particularly good). So if you want Italian, and want a versatile restaurant, you get more than just a chain at Tucci’s. Give ‘em a try(but just watch the pepper mill setting!)

I don’t even know how people could say their dish is excellent. You need to taste better food, people. Seriously. We always passed Tucci’s so we thought we’d try it out. My boyfriend and I went there together in hope to have a romantic night. My boyfriend is an Italian chef who studied cooking in Italy and I cook a lot of Asian dishes myself. We did not expect anything extraordinary, but good enough for us for not having to cook for the night. We were very disappointed. Very. For the price that we paid, the food and service was terrible. It killed the romantic night we wanted to have. The waiter was nice, but he wasn’t experienced or something. When he was getting our order, he asked«Would you like soup or salad with that?». With that question without saying how much that would be, we both assumed that it came as a free side dish with the expensive meal. So we got the salad. But at the end, the bill came up with $ 3 each for salad. We are not worried about the money, but it would have been nice have he said the price and not surprise us with extra bill at the end. He left us without water for like 10 minutes and we were thirsty at the time. When my boyfriend’s beer went down, he didn’t come and offer more. This was my boyfriend’s biggest pet peeve. They offerred the special in the beginning, which was a plate of different kinds of meat. They did not say the price, but we thought we’d try. It didn’t taste good at all. It was like chunks of meat marinated in simple wine then grilled. Nothing special about it. It’s like having a barbecue in the park. It ended up being $ 25. The $ 25 dish tasted like something anyone could make as long as they have meat. Mine tasted so boring. The only thing that was enjoyable for me was my drink. I feel bad for the business because I didn’t see many people there, but now I know why. The price doesn’t match up the service and food. The atmosphere is good, but I didn’t go there just for the atmosphere. I don’t cook too much Italian food, but even my Italian cooking is better than their chef’s. I don’t recommend this restaurant at all. Better go to Settebello. You’ll get twice what you’ll get at Tucci’s and the food is closer to Italian food. Hell, even Olive Garden is much better.
