We got the NICEST stainless steel Whirlpool dishwasher here for less than $ 200, including tax. They said it was used, but we looked through their inventory of washers, picked our favorite, and really can’t tell that it is used. Furthermore, it is the new, deeper style so that you get more height in both the upper and lower sections of the dishwasher. We installed it over two months ago and it works great. Carlos, the owner, is helpful and also enthusiastic and funny. The next time we need an appliance, we will look here first. By the way, I find the location just off Hwy 281 and the ample parking to be very convenient.

This place is in an undesirable neighborhood next to the freeway with no designated parking. For no apparent reason they also make it difficult to get in and out by randomly closing this enormous, rickety 1000-​year-​old gate. Maybe it’s to keep out the Manchus and Mongols? We may never know. I do know that I can go somewhere else with a better selection and the same prices and not have to worry about getting a tetanus or hepatitis shot.

Shopping around for appliances is something I don’t think anyone really looks forward to. It’s not like shopping for shoes or a car, right? Maybe, but if you are going to shop around I recommend Appliance Liquidation Outlet (ALO) if you are looking for quality on the cheap. Scratch that. I mean, inexpensive. Nothing they sell is «cheap». Everything is manufacture quality with the exception of minor scuffs.
At the time of my visit ALO seemed to have lots of washers and dryers on hand (which is what I was shopping for) in addition to fridges, stoves and other pieces. There were even some really cool retro stoves and such. The owner, Carlos, is really laid back and helpful. There are no pushy sales gimmicks either. I wasn’t positive I wanted the dryer right away so he invited to come back when I made my decision – and I did. When I returned I was welcomed by other friendly staff members that helped me schedule my pick-​up and completed my transaction. I’d absolutely go back to ALO for my next appliance need. These days it seems most of us are on a budget so it’s nice to know there are options out here. If your cruising for some deals I say stop by ALO and check them out.

I was blown away by the fact that they sell vintage fridges! They’ve got old antique soda machines, and of course TONS of refrigerators!
The service was really nice. I was looking for a fridge with an ice maker. When I found that they had very little of them, I was concerned. When the sales associate asked me if I needed help, she explained that just about any of the fridges can be outfitted with an ice maker, it’s just a little kit that they plug into the freezer.
I was sold! I found a beautiful white one. It was cheaper than the other places I had shopped at.
The service was excellent! They totally helped me load it up, and answered all my crazy questions about refrigerators!
Plus, the warranty comes standard!
