A little difficult to find the shop in this meandering center. Its a clean, well laid out space, however the prices seemed quite high. We saw nothing that we could/would even consider. Life magazines were $ 30+.(You can get them at Half Price Books for $ 8). Nice to see once, but this wasn’t the type of shop we were looking for.

This was a great find, I love to look for furniture pieces that have allot of character & this place delivers the goods. It’s located in a nice shady artists village type place, quite & laid back. The lady at the counter was friendly but didn’t hover. Overall, I was impressed with the selection of Life mags, vinyl, & furniture. Several of the pieces that caught my eye were waaaay out of my price range, so I guess like most antique shops in S.A. they’re out of my price point or more specifically priced above what I can pay. That said, everything was in beautiful condition, this place is well worth a visit, you are bound to find something that strikes your fancy.

I really wasn’t sure about this place from the outside. I’m not a big antique shopper nor do I have any reason to spend that much money on furniture but I decided to check it out. I absolutely love this place. So I’m walking around the shop and looking at all the beautiful furniture and vintage jewelry and I noticed some vinyls. So I walked over to the vinyls and was floored by the amount of «LIFE» magazines. Starting in the 40’s and going into the late 70’s. It was so much fun looking through all of them. If you’re a big«LIFE» mag fan like me you’ll love it here. I was searching really hard for a Beatles mag but, unsurprising, I didn’t find one. I now know where to go to get Christmas presents for all my friends.

Back Alley Antiques offers all sorts of old gadgets, from wooden spools of thread to vintage aprons, along with plenty of antique furniture. This store, which is located in Artisan Alley, is rather large on the inside and well organized, making it the perfect place to browse away a lazy afternoon. If you are hunting for something in particular, there is a good chance Back Alley will have something along the lines of what you are looking for. This store has quite a bit of large furniture for relatively good prices. For example, I found a large table that would be perfect kitchen island for around $ 400. Back Alley also has furniture that will run you more than that, but if you are looking for a deal, you should be able to stumble upon one here. The lady in the shop said hello when we entered, but mostly left us alone to wander around. There was plenty in the store to keep us occupied for a half an hour and I left with several ideas for my house(albeit without any furniture… sigh!). The store is decorated very nicely and provides inspiration for any antique lover. Serious buyers and window shopper alike will love Back Alley.

Right next door to Finders Keepers Invitations is Back Alley Antiques. Cool finds here if you’re on the lookout for vintage. LPs, furniture, Life magazines, maps of old Texas cities, Coke machines, a fully restored barber’s chair… they’ve got it here. The ladies are just as friendly as the Finders Keepers employees and make sure you’re taken care of. I walked away with a Life magazine as a gift for my friend(dated in the 70s) and my friend loved it!
