Had the brisket sandwich, it was delicious. Can’t believe I’ve been spending my money at Bill Miller. The staff was awesome

Wow !!! I just spent the last hour devouring and ungodly amount of chicken and ribs. When you pull up the building isn’t much to look at… the beauty is all on the inside :) The smoke flavor is perfect. That rub they put on the ribs, can make an old tire taste good. I had some BBQ Sauce didn’t even try it, the meat was that good didn’t need it. Definitely on the must return list.

Got the meat sampler-beef ribs and pork tenderloin were great. Brisket was good. Sausage taco was just a piece of sausage wrapped in a soft taco-not what I expected but sausage was good. Potato salad and Cole slaw were solid. Pecan pie and peach cobbler well worth it for less than $ 2. Liked that you can by meat by the pound.

Awesome food and service. We don’t have this kind of bbq in California so we were very please with the flavor and the service.

One of the best barbecue places I’ve ever been to, if not the best. We got the ribs and they have a very unique dry rub on them that is just absolutely fantastic. The entire place looks like an old barbecue stand you find on some side road in the back woods. Cream corn and green beans were excellent. There was a long line we got there in a long line when we left and they been at it for more than 20 years. If you’re ever in San Antonio and you want barbecue you owe it to yourself to come to this place.

Visiting San Antonio on vacation with the family and had a bbq craving. After seeing the 4 stars for this place and seeing it wasn’t a national chain, decided to make the 20 minute trip out to BBQ Station. WEREWEEVERPLEASANTLYSURPRISED! A straight up, no frills BBQ joint with some of the best smoked meats that I have ever tasted. Prices(especially for BBQll) we very reasonable. Hands down, the BEST pork ribs that I have EVER eaten. Cant down play the brisket, either. It was awesome, too. My kids enjoyed their chopped beef sandwiches so much they both asked for another one. If you’re looking for just good down home BBQ in San Antonio, this is THE place to go. I’m really looking forward to my next trip to SA because it will certainly include a stop at BBQ Station!

The service was not good at all. The food was pretty good, but the service left a bad taste in my mouth. I couldn’t get over the fact that I was treated rudely by an employee who was on break eating Taco Cabana in the dining area. I will not be coming back.

I stopped here on my way to the airport and what an amazing decision that was. The dry rub on the ribs is so savory here and they were cooked perfectly! You can’t go wrong with the ribs. I didn’t even need BBQ sauce for them, they were so good! I feel like this place is a hidden gem, I went on a Wednesday night, it wasn’t too crowded and then was a local band playing fun Texas music in the back room. Very cool place!!!

Came in around 8pm on Wednesday night, Veterans day. The venue had a outdoor wooden BBQ interior. There were some people, but it was pretty quiet for the most part. It was my first time at this place, so I asked the lady at the counter what to order. She was nice and recommended the brisket and pork ribs. I asked to try a piece and the brisket had some fat in it which made it really good. I decided to get a brisket and pork ribs along with some cuttings of turkey breasts. I got green bean and potato salad sides. My friend got the same thing. The brisket had some fat in it so it tasted heavenly. The way a brisket should taste. No sauce needed. The pork ribs were delicious too. The turkey breast has less taste than the brisket and pork ribs, but was good for turkey breast. I really liked the food here and didn’t really have to use the bbq sauce. I would rank this place high on my list for good Texas bbq places, definitely check it out if you are in San Antonio.

A no-frills place for excellent barbecue. I got the smoked turkey. It was tender, moist, and full of flavor. The smokiness came through very well and I noticed a perfect smoke ring on the meat. I had the green beans and potato salad as my side dishes. The green beans were great. The potato salad wasn’t to my particular taste, but I don’t hold that against them. This place will definitely be on my «go-to» list!

I read a few reviews on Unilocal before giving this place a shot and it really got my bbq cravings going. The place didn’t look like all that when you first walk in, but the guy at the register was very attentive as he took my to-go order. The pit master was just a few feet behind him chopping away at some brisket and halfway through my order three different groups of men walked out shouting praise over their shoulders about the meals they had just had. Those guys were not wrong, I had an order of the brisket and pork ribs with green beans. The ribs and green beans were very peppered but the bbq sauce really brought out a great flavor in the meats. Everything had that great smokey flavor you really look for when getting BBQ. Would definitely return for another visit.

I’ve decided to write this review while still toothpicking(can we verbacize«toothpick?) beef ribs from my teeth so as to recall vividly my impressions of their product. It’s amazing that I have driven past this place so many times in the 5.5 years I lived in San Antonio and never stopped. I’m fairly happy I did. Ordering here will be very familiar to most people; stand in line, place your order, the pit master behind the cashier cutting up your order… There’s a small trough in the center of the ordering area with a few different beers and some bottled sodas. The meat on offer is standard BBQ joint meat: pork ribs, brisket(moist & lean), chicken, sausage, and then a few other items not so common such as chopped beef/chicken, pork loin, and beef rib(lets). Sides, likewise, fairly typical with your pinto beans(with free refills), «Mimi’s» potato salad, cole slaw, green beans, creamed corn, chips, and fries. All plates come with bread, pickles and onions. I went with the beef ribs + 1 meat plate(moist brisket) for $ 11.99. I added a sausage link($ 1.99) and a soda(free refills $ 1.99). The line was short when I got there so I only waited a few minutes before the pit master asked for my order. My first impression was that it was a fair amount of food for the price I paid. OK, beef ribs. I’m thinking Black’s in Lockhart. Don’t. Look at the pictures so you’re not shocked. I got 4 riblets with my order. I found them to be tasty, but a bit tough. The dry rub, is peppery with a bit a spice, and quite tasty. The moist brisket, as seen in my picture, was REALLY moist… I liked the flavor but I didn’t get any crust around the edges. The sausage was quite good. Sometimes sausage has to fine of a grind but this sausage had a bigger grind. It was salty and peppery with a nice snap. I think the holy grail of barbecue is finding a place that has sides not necessarily on par with their meat, after all the meat is the reason we’re there, bit at least pretty good. Is that asking too much? I know some places have one or two sides that are quite good e.g. Rudy’s cream corn, but usually the sides are sub par. That being said, I was not impressed with either my potato salad(Sorry, Mimi) or the cream corn. I prefer some potato chucks in my potato salad but nary a chunk to be found — not even a wee chunk or chunkette. Overall, if you’re within a short distance of this place, I’d say check them out. The meat I ate was pretty good but not great. The sides, not so much. The service was pretty good and I think they price is decent, too.

Im not from around here. This was recommended to me by a local guy who runs a mexican restaurant. This place is insanely good. The 1st time I tried it I was starving. It was good. But I wasn’t sure if it was good because I was so hungry. So I had to come back. The very next day. Its hard to say but I think it was even better since I wasn’t starving and could take the time and enjoy the food. This place with out a doubt has the very best smoked turkey I have ever had. The crème corn is also super good! Fresh lemonade that is perfect! If you like bbq and haven’t yet tried this place, give it a go! Im pretty sure you wont be disappointed.

Pros: quality meat, nice taste, unlimited refill, the brisket has a little fat on it and is more tasty with that amount of fat. cashiers and servers are friendly. Cons: restroom is old and not so clean. The lock broke down. But I would definitely come more if living closer

This place is outta this world! My brother lives in San Antonio and was blessed with intel about this shrine… if you are even an hours drive from here, its worth the trip! The place is clean, yet rustic… and the food is perfect. We got what any normal brothers would do when walking into a place like this; ordered a half pound of EVERYTHING!!! Favorites were the short beef ribs, half a chicken, brisket, then all else took a close fourth. The chicken was without a doubt, the most succulent and flavorful chicken ive ever had, the short ribs were to die for, and all else was prepared and smoked to perfection. Their BBQ sauce i would order as a soup, and they use no flavor enhancers, liquid smoke, or after-eat feelings of bloating or over seasoning… just perfect Texas BBQ.
