Yesterday(12÷30÷14), I called Bolner’s in San Antonio to see if any stores in the Los Angeles area carry their jalapeño salt. It’s one of my favorite flavoring remedies that I used to buy when I lived in New Mexico. If I remember correctly, it was available at Walmart and Albertson’s. Bolner’s has a relatively large collection of spices actually. I was also intrigued to learn that they have a separate market there in San Antonio… Cool. Purchases can be made online, but I really wanted to have access to them fresh. Plus, I don’t want to pay for shipping for such a small item. The operator immediately transferred me to a nice lady named Crystal. Unfortunately, Crystal was the bearer of bad news and told me that no stores in the Los Angeles area carry the Bolner’s Fiesta Brand Jalapeño Salt. She mentioned the online store. Bummer. Bolner’s is still a reputable company in my book. Good for them for maintaining the fine tradition in the Lone Star state. Now to sweet talk my mom(who still lives in New Mexico) about sending me some of that jalapeño salt the next time she sends her grand babies a package… Review #319

What’s not to love about Bolner’s? Whether you get the three meat lunch special or you just come in for some homemade spicy jerky you are getting quality products made fresh. The smoked jalapeño cheese sausage is out of this world!

Another home grown San Antonio company that is committed to quality and giving back. Some of the best spices around. They have you covered for all of your cooking needs. Fajita, Hamburger, Pinto Bean, Spanish Rice, Brisket Rub, Pork Rub, Rib Rub, etc. You get the point they have a spice or seasoning for almost anything you are going to be cooking in your kitchen. One of my favorite things about them is they spend a lot of time and energy giving back to the community as well. So support a local business that believes in giving back to our community.
